"Villa Ausblick" (German for Villa with a View) is a beautiful, 4,000 sq.ft., mountaintop 5 BR/4 Bath house near Waterbury Center, VT and embodies comfort, seclusion, and relaxation with sweeping views of Camel’s Hump and easy access to Stowe, Mad River Glen, and Sugarbush.
This house, located at the crossroads of Vermont's best recreational destinations, is the perfect place for your family and friends, no matter what time of the year. With activities for every season, including a pool and pond with waterfall for the summer and skiing and snowshoeing for the winter, it is a great getaway year round. The property is completely isolated - it is difficult to see another house.
With 5 bedrooms, two with bunk beds and trundles, your entire group will relax in comfort with plenty of space, sleeping 12 in beds, and more with futons and temporary furnishings. Rooms have good proportions and are completely furnished for your use. With a fully outfitted kitchen, you can assemble your family and friends for a daily feast.
Wake up to incredible views of Camel�s Hump mountain from the master bedroom suite, outfitted with a king-size bed and private master bathroom housing a large Jacuzzi tub. Four other bedrooms share the magnificent, unrestricted views of the Green Mountains. The basement bedroom has its own private bath as well.
The living room adjoins the kitchen and eating nook, in an open layout that connects to the deck with the stunning views, seen below. The basement is complete with a bar and full entertainment area including a projection television with full theater sound. It provides access to a large hot tub, where after a hard day of play, you can retire to relax and enjoy the views. A wraparound porch and veranda make great spaces for outdoor meals (in summer) and a central place to watch all the action at the pool and in the front yard.
The house is fully outfitted for young children, including a crib, a pack-n-play, and plenty of toys. [It is not entirely child-proof - you will still need to watch your children, especially outside by the pool and pond.] There is a giant sand box as well.
We'd love to have people who respect that this is our home and will treat it and our possessions as if they were their own. We are renting it because it is too wonderful a place too keep to ourselves and not share.

- Kid Friendly: Are you kidding - this is kid paradise! Swimming, hiking, catching critters, climbing rock walls, picking berries, playing with other kids, making fires - there are so many cool, exciting things here, your kids won't want to leave! The home is set up with high chair, indoor and outdoor toys, board games, and pool safety gear.
- Minimum Age Limit for Renters: At least 25 years of age unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent. This is a family rental, not a party rental. We reserve the right to turn you down if you use the word "dude".
- Smoking Not Allowed: This is really important to us. PLEASE don't even think of smoking at our place.

We are East Coast city folks who love VT and the Green mountains. When our children were born, we decided to buy that dream vacation home allowing our family to have a wonderful, well-balanced 'double life'. We chose the Waterbury, Vt location for its proximity to various ski resorts (Stowe, Sugarbush, Bolden Valley), great value and easy access to I-89.
The Unique Benefits at this House
This luxurious 5-Bedroom home offers many benefits:
1) Spacious enough to not feel 'trapped', we can host reunions for our extended family. We also love to spend quality time with friends here; it revived our social lives as we can accommodate 3-4 families.
2) Situated on a mountain top with unrestricted views of Camel Hump and complete privacy this home has become our retreat to relax and re-energize. While isolated, we are within a 5-minute drive to the next major grocery store, pharmacy, gas station, and highway access.
3) The inside and outside amenities (playroom, recreation room, fuss ball table, yard, pool, pond, water fall, fire pit, sandbox, rock climbing wall) and the power nature around us are always a hit with everyone - young and old.
4) There is an abundance of summer and winter outdoor activities to chose from within a short drive: Biking, hiking, fishing, golfing, horseback riding, sledding, downhill and cross-country skiing, ice skating,... You will never be bored here!
