Spacious condominium, beautifully furnished, well-stocked, and maintained with fantastic views of the Gulf. Perfect space for our family of four with young children. It features an open floor plan, with a grand master bedroom and second bedroom with two single beds. We've been three times, and we'll be back again.

Our daughter was married on the beach March 31 and we arrived a few days early for someuch needed R&R. I was VERY PLEASED with the condo. I am a very OCD person and usually spend the first day organizing. To my surprise it was perfect. We didn't even have to clean the gas grill before using it. The floors were so clean you did not mind going barefoot. We go to Florida two or three times a year and have stayed in some really nice places. I would say that Portofino would be in the top 5 and we will definately stay here again! The owner was a pleasure to deal with and we have no complaints and plan on renting from her again! Thanks Again.

Great Condo/Great Resort/ Great Beach!!!!

This Condo has everything you need!!! Just bring your food, your clothes and yourself!!!! I brought my 2 teenage children and we had a great spring break week. The beach is beautiful and takes only 2-3 minute walk to get there. The resort has all the amenities you need. Great fitness center, spas, indoor and outdoor pools. Just an Awesome place. We will be going back.

Feels like home, but better

My family and I loved our time spent in Portofino. This condo was beyond what we could of imagined. All we had to bring is our clothes, toiletries and food. They really thought of everything. We enjoyed the breathtaking views as well as the beautifully decorated condo. We look forward to returning next year. This was a family vacation we will treasure through the years.

wonderful family vacation

My family and I just stayed 5 nights at the condo and loved every minute of it. It rained the last 2 days we were there but we still had a blast. It was nice cooking steaks on the outside grill while whatching the sunset. Amazing views and wonderful condo. We felt right at home! We will be back again!

for fear of your unit booking up! We just got back home after spending 5 glorious, unforgettable nights at Portofino. WOW! Every time I close my eyes I envision the gorgeous view of the gulf and the inner coastal from our balcony or the fireworks at the main pool. This is a great location for everyone! Tons of kid/teenager events, as well as, activities for the adults! Your unit was immaculate and full of little touches that made us feel right at home! We will be back as soon as we can!

Very nice beach front property

Recently stayed at Portofino in Pensacola Beach. Unfortunately, the weather was not great, but the complex and this unit in particular were very nice. The complex is close too, but a little bit away from the boardwalk and the rest of Pensacola Beach. For us this was ideal because its easy to get to where all the activity is, but just as easy to get away. The facilities at Portofino are relatively new and well maintained. The fitness and locker rooms are well equipped. My only criticisms are that both are too small and the fitness area can use a greater selection of free weights. That said, there is more than enough there, there are a good variety of classes available and what is there is nice. Although it was too cool for tennis and bike riding, the courts looked well maintained and there was a large selection of rental bikes. Given where the complex is located, road riding seemingly would be ideal as well. The unit we stayed in was nicely appointed and it was fully stocked. The owner said that it was a second home and thus they kept it fully supplied. This seemed to be absolutely true as there was aloe available in case of sunburn (which we didn't use, but not something you typically see). The unit really had everything you could need. The views are extremely nice given that you are on the 20th floor and overlook the beach. Only complaint was from my kids (19 and 20) who said that their beds were too small. Didn't bother me one bit, but that's what they had to say. We would have no hesitation in going back.

I have used VRBO for years and have had nothing but positive experiences. I was lulled in to the belief that all the property owners were honest and ethical and unfortunatly I was proven wrong. I followed this renters instructions and tried to help her save some fees only to have it rented out from under me and notified at the last minute. I did get a unit at this propery directly through their own realty company and would highly recomment both the property and that method of renting as it may cost a bit more but at least you can rest assured you will have a place to lay your head after enjoying the awesome amenities at this property. I highly recommend Portofino but would be very careful when dealing with this renter. I am sure they will block this review but I hope some way this might help someone avoid the problem I had.

Owner response:As we discussed, I cannot hold any reservation without a deposit. After 2 weeks, your check arrived 2 days before your planned arrival for Thanksgiving weekend. Since I had not heard a word from you, I did book the condo to another guest. As soon as I received the check, I sent it back to you voided, emailed you and called you. I am sorry this did not work out. We have rented 2 condos for 6 plus years, and this is the first time someone has been disappointed. Your check should have arrived within a few days of our discussion, not 2 weeks later. Again, I apoligize that you were disappointed but if we were dishonest, then you would not have received any notification and your check mailed promptly back to you. Sincerely, Jacquie Rothe (owner)

We are reluctantly returning home after our second stay in jacquie's condo at portofino. We have two active, adventurous children. We love portofino because we can bike between pools, beach, bay and boardwalk. We can swim, fish, and build sandcastles all in one day! Pensacola beach is much more secluded and preserved than other beaches. We find buckets of seashells and catch crabs every visit. The local restaurants are family friendly and usually not too crowded. The pools are heatedduring the cooler months! We also enjoyed the blue angels and watching football by the main pool this visit!

Breath Taking View

Our family would like to thank you so much for sharing your condo with us. We almost cancelled because of the gulf oil disaster but we went anyways. There was no oil present when we were there. We went in the Gulf but stayed mostly in the pool. We went on the resorts dolphin cruise and went out to Sand Island where we saw 2 dolphins. Went to the Pensacola Zoo and dispite all the negitive remarks on the internet it was a very nice zoo. We rented jet skis right by the toll bridge and we found they were the cheapest prices. Two blocks down they were $20.00 more per person. I would recommend your condo to anyone who loves the water views. The sunsets were awesome. Thank you again. The Gilbert Family, Warren MI

Lovely, spacious condo with a double bonus - view of the gulf and the bay. Both bedrooms have a view, the kitchen is big and well equipped. Tasteful and fun decor throughout. We will come back again!

Jacquie, Thanks for renting to us. Cheryl and I had a wonderful five weeks at 2003. The view is spectacular. The unit lay-out and furnishings could not have been better. I loved having the electric grill on the patio, high speed hook up, and a condo where everything worked. In 39 days we didn't have to call maintenance one time. Joe Patti has the best fresh sea food I've seen.

We just returned from a long weekend at the condo. The accomodations were fantastic and the views & sunsets were indescribably beautiful. The beach was quiet & the weather was perfect. The resort had 2 heated pools, a fitness center and spa. I could live there. I was a little concerned about renting from someone I found online but the owner was wonderful & easy to contact & the rates are lower than the resort's. Be sure & eat at Peg Leg Pete's. There's a super WalMart about 10 miles from the condo. I can't wait to go back.

We just spent the most relaxing week at your condo. We had the absolute BEST view of Pensacola Beach from the 20th floor of this unit. We spent hours just relaxing and taking in the view. Unfortunately, words alone can not describe the absolute beauty of the Portofino property, nor the excellent, accomodating staff. It's everything one would want (or need) in a First Class Resort and Spa. I highly recommend your condo to anyone looking to pamper themselves and their family or friends. Frank Inderbitzen
