Our vacation home is perfectly located within a new golf course community (riograndeclub com) on 2+ acres of private land. The property line backs up to the San Juan National Forest, which is easy access to every outdoor activity imaginable: golfing, hiking, ATV/4X4 riding, and sledding. The house is within walking distance to the Rio Grande River & Alder's Creek (popular fishing rivers with plenty of fly fishing for trout), as well as canoeing and river rafting.
For skiers, we are in close proximity to Wolf Creek Ski Resort (wolfcreekski com) renowned as the resort that gets "The Most Snow In Colorado." Shuttles to and from the ski area are available at the golf club house upon request/reservation. There is a minimal fee to use the service.
About our home: it is a 2 story floorplan with the Master bedroom/bath and bedroom/bath 1 on the lower level. Upstairs are 2 additional bedrooms that share a full bathroom. Don't forget to plan to use all of our amenities. We have adjoining balconies on the upstairs rooms and the extra large deck on the mountain side of the house -- perfect places to wind down or view neighboring mountain tops.
Make sure you throw in your swimsuit! The hot tub is located on the back deck and it absolutely the place to be after a fun-filled day outdoors.
NOTE: Wildlife is plentiful on the property. Max count is 27 deer so far. |
