Owner is Very Honorable and Gracious

I had rented the house for a weekend golf outing for friends coming from Boston, New York City, Northern Vermont and Syracuse, NY. Hurricane Irene had other plans and washed out the roads which prohibited access to the house. The owner and I remained in contact leading up to our weekend, weighing the options available to us. We could have accessed the house through some creative shuttles and hiking, but the owner was gracious and provided and complete refund. I want to thank him for his understanding and will keep the house in mind for future visits and will not hesitate to recommend the property to friends and family.

I rented this house for a family/friends get together for a skiing trip and it was great. We had 23 adults and it was certainly big enough for all of us, and had no problem with sleeping arrangements. The house is in a good location, close to the mountains and bars/restaurants. We enjoyed using the indoor fireplace and firepit in the backyard, especially since the shed is full of firewood to burn. Also, the jacuzzi was a nice size for us to come back to and relax in after skiing. I would recommend this house to anyone looking to bring a big group up for a week or weekend get away. Everyone in our group loved it and will look to return in the future.

We had a huge party (24) for a 4 day ski trip, and this house was pretty much perfect for our stay. Vincent was great to communicate with, and the house is exactly as described. There were plenty of beds, space, and entertainment (poker, darts, Foosball) to accommodate our group. The hot tub was a great way to recover everyday after hitting the slopes. Location wise, the house was conveniently located about 10-15 min away from Killington Resort, as well as many restaurants and pubs. It was pretty much all we could ask for and we look forward to staying here again next winter!

This House is beautifully decorated and has a charming feel to it. Visited in the summer and managed to have a great experience. The house is extremely well accommodated and provides everything you'd expect in your own home. Spectacular views of the mountain and makes one feel like they really should get outdoors more and chop wood like rocky. Hot tub provides a great relaxing wind down after a long day of hiking on Mt. Killington. Minutes from the downtown area of Killington and cannot wait to go back and this place is a great get away from the congestion of Manhattan.

This house was a perfect fit for our large group. The accommodations, location, and overall welcoming feel of the home were unlike anything I have experienced in home rental, both domestically and abroad. I am quite certain that heaven is located at this house.

The house is outstanding it is absolutely beautiful, the landscaping was extremely well maintained, cozy and modern at the same time. There is ample space for sleeping and for recreation or just hanging out. This is a private location with plenty of parking. The house is directly up the road from the state golf course where we had a golf outing I couldn't think of a better place for a large group. Vincent the owner was a pleasure to work with he was very professional. The facilities were wonderful, very close and easily accessible to the golf course as well as the mountain, and a great spot to relax and have a lot of fun for a few days. The house is in a excellent, private location just minutes from the mountain and various restaurants. The house was extremely clean & spacious with plenty of room to accommodate a large group of people. The amenities that came with the house were outstanding, such as a hot tub, outdoor fireplace, a horse shoe pit and foosball table. That is to name a few things. There was more then enough room between all of the rooms and the two living rooms were outstanding. I would highly recommend this place to anybody that is looking to accommodate a large group of people.

The only good thing about this house is that it slept all 24 guest's. There were numerous things that were broken/not working properly like he promises in the contract. 1. the hocky table is completely broken 2. the fuseball table is broken 3. there was no propane in the grill the first night 4. there was a candy wrapper in one of the beds before anyone slept in it 5. the hot tub was broken the last day/night and the maintenance man said "it has happened before" and it never got fixed 6. there is not enough seating downstairs for 24 people 7. the bathroom door in the bedroom downstairs was taken off by the maintenance man the first 20 minutes we were there and was never put back on 8. the beds are not as comfortable as he makes them seem 9. he is hard to get in touch with 10. he told me he was sending me my full security deposit back and the check he sent me was $100 short. 11. lastly, he is not returning my full security deposit because we left an hour late ( the cleaning people had not even been there yet, but he claims they were ). This was our 4th year doing a ski trip and have stayed at other houses, never once had a problem with any of them, but this one there were numerous problems.
Owner response:Hello my name is Vincent Connolly and I’m the owner of this home in Killington.- thanks for visiting my listing. As you know there are multiple sides to every story so I wanted to spend a minute to provide some clarity on this situation. I have a passion for winter sports and I’ve owned and rented this house for the past 7 years. I pride myself on offering an exceptional experience with thorough communication throughout the entire process.. I know the importance of great vacation and I focus this concept around my rental business. From time to time I get some challenged rental groups that decide to not follow the terms outlined in the rental agreement. This young lady was one of those groups. The interesting thing is every communication from the initial email to the signed rental agreement very clearly states the 10am checkout. In the particular situation I had a school group coming to the house the day she was departing. The cleaning lady needs about 4-6 hours to clean the house. That morning the cleaning lady showed up to the house and the group was still there with no signs of leaving anytime soon. So she had to come back in a much tighter window and bring extra help to get the house cleaned for the school arrival. I simply passed this cost for the extra help onto the rental group that was late on the checkout. Needless, to say this young lady wanted to take no responsibility and threatened a bad review if I didn’t remove the extra fee. Unfortunately, I can’t operate my business on threats so I had to take the bad review with some pretty outlandish comments. Thanks so much for your time!
