We just got back from our weekend at your home. WOW, what a beautiful home and location. Your house is something really special. It worked out perfect for our family reunion and we had such a good time! I can't say enough about the location at the magical power of the river and the calming feeling you get when gazing on it. Thank you so very much and again we hope to rent every summer. Perhaps next time for a longer duration.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had out family reunion at this wonderful home on the river. Our family included 11 adults, 2 teenagers and 4 toddlers. We had plenty of room to spread out in the home for sleeping but we spent as much time as possible on the deck and outdoors. The bedrooms are well appointed and comfortable. The decor is exactly how I would design my mountain home if I were so lucky. THE BEST PART - You can't believe the proximity to a roaring river and how the deck follows the river along the entire back of the home. This is a really special home which when visited in the summer helps you to appreciate the awesome beauty that is Colorado (and we live in Denver). Although not a river for fishing, this is a river that's power has a calming effect on the senses. A foot bridge takes you across the river to national forest where more animals are ready to entertain while hiking. We saw a mother deer and her fawn right from the back deck. We taught the grandkids how to make smores and after a long hike, soaked in the hot tub. We had karokee night in the large living room and played games under the stars on the deck. Although the wonderful town of Breckenridge is within 7 minutes from the home, we never felt the need to leave. It is Monday after our weekend at the river and all my family can think about is when can we go back. We could easily have stayed a week. We will next time. If you want to experience Colorado in all its majestic beauty, stay at this home. Year round this home is EXTRA SPECIAL!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

Location
Owner info
Year Purchased: 2003
About the owner: A native of Colorado transplanted to Texas. I have a marketing company. A real family person I enjoy doing things with my family and staying active. Good music and a good book are my other favorite pastimes.
Why the Owner Chose Blue River:
The area is very family friendly and offers a wide variety of things to do all year around. In winter there is snowboarding, skiing, snowmobiling, and cross country skiing. In summer there is golf, hiking, biking and great ATV trails. Great food and a wonderful music scene are icing on the cake.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The property sits beside a roaring creek located in the middle of the Arapahoe National Forest. It is close to town but far enough to give a real outdoor adventure. A national forest trailhead is directly across the stream. The back porch affords visitors a great location for family get-togethers in the summer and apres ski in the winter.
