Come enjoy our beautifully remodeled cabin on one-and-one-half acre fenced property overlooking Plahman Lake. Near Lake George. The Wagon Tongue Cabin is conveniently located 45 miles west of Colorado Springs and just 20 miles from Woodland Park. The location is perfect for those who want to enjoy Colorado's great outdoors. Yet close enough to all the city attractions.

This unique cabin borders Pike National Forest. Ride out our back door on your horses, ATVs, dirt bikes, or snowmobiles into endless forest trails. Out the front door enjoy breathtaking views of Plahman Lake and the Mountains. Please Note: Plahman Lake is private property. No trespassing or fishing allowed.

ABOUT THE CABIN: Enjoy all the comforts of home in our spacious, 1100-square-foot, three-bedroom, one-bathroom cabin. Completely remodeled and newly furnished. Two bedrooms are furnished with queen-size beds, dressers and night stands. The third bedroom/bunkroom has two double-size futons with twin bunks on top and a dresser.

The living room is furnished with a cozy couch, chair, and ottoman. The couch also makes into a queen-size bed. Enjoy relaxing in this room while watching TV or playing games with friends and family.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances including dishwasher, microwave, all cooking utensils, pans, and dishes. Just bring the food! There is also a barbecue grill on the back deck to enjoy cooking outdoors. The dining room seats six and the bar seats four. Both are open to the kitchen area. For your convenience there is also a separate laundry room with washer and dryer.

Relax out on the spacious decks. Soaking in the beautiful views and Colorado sunshine. Or an evening around the open fire pit in the cool crisp air with stars so close you can almost touch them.

The Wagon Tongue Cabin is a very cozy versatile cabin. It is ideal for family holidays, reunions, anniversary celebrations, or honeymoons. Great for hunting and fishing groups or just one person. Completely furnished with modern but rustic furniture to give you the warm cozy feeling of the Colorado mountains with all the comforts of home. You are welcome to bring your horses, ATVs, or snowmobiles to ride in the forest adjacent to the property.

Enjoy hundreds of acres of wilderness trails for horseback riding, driving ATVs or dirt bikes, hiking, mountain biking, hunting, fishing, sledding, snowmobiling. View wildlife of elk, deer, mountain goats, eagles, and many more.

Venture down to Eleven Mile Canyon for some quality water river fishing. We are near some of the best fishing in Colorado. South Platte River, Eleven Mile Canyon, Arkansas River, Spinney, and Eleven Mile Reservoir. Please note fishing is not allowed at the private lakes near our cabin without a member. If you would like to fish, please make arrangements at time of reservation.

If you choose to venture out from the cabin to explore the Pikes Peak Region. There are many wonderful attractions to see.

  • I recently spent a week at this property. Well equipped with everything you need to feel at home and enjoy. Since I am an avid fisherman, the lake is what enticed me. Caught more than enough to feed the family everyday, and had fun doing it. The view is spectacular, quiet and serene surroundings. Am planning another trip for hunting season as the area is ideal for hunting deer and elk, and the location is great. Am taking my "Mule" next time for more exploring. Thanks for the wonderful vacation.

  • We recently spent a week at this beautiful cabin overlooking the lake. We had a great time relaxing and enjoying the scenery and fishing in the well-stocked lake. My husband is disabled and has to use a wheel-chair to move around. He was able to go from the house right to the lake shore and enjoyed fishing and riding around the lake. Great surroundings, peaceful atmosphere, and easy access to the area dining and entertainment at the town of Cripple Creek. We are planning a hunting trip in the fall from this location again. Wonderful people to deal with, and cabin is equipped with anything you could possibly need. Just bring your clothes and toothbrush!! Thanks for the great vacation.

  • My husband & just wanted to thank you so much for a great week at your cozy cabin. It truely was a relaxing and peaceful week. The fishing was EXCEPTIONAL, nothing like eating fresh, mountain rainbow for dinner! When we didn't feel like cooking in your perfectly equiped kitchen, we enjoyed the short 22 mile ride up the mountain to enjoy some of Cripple Creek's finest dinning. We also really enjoyed exploring the trails on our 4-wheelers. We never did explore all of them. We can't wait to come back. Thank you again for sharing your little piece of heaven with us !
