We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. I would highly recommend it. We had seven in our party and were comfortable in the cabin. The kids enjoyed having thier own room and they enjoyed the games and puzzles in the cabin and watching the chipmonks and praire dogs in yard. As for things close by, we did a drive through Eleven Mile canyon, it was beautiful. The highlight of the stay for my Mother and Father-in-law was seeing a black bear on a drive through the National Forest. We also saw elk and lots of mule deer. The highlight of the stay for me was fishing. I fished from my kayak on Eleven Mile Reservoir early one morning. The scenery was awesome. But what was really impressive was when John, one of the owners, came out and fished with us at the private lake, giving the kids a chance to fish. I caught my first three rainbow trout and enjoyed a beautiful sunset on the lake- what a way to cap off the week! Thank you Kim and John.

Couple of sisters just getting away to spend time together. We took a lot of walks around the neighborhood, stopped by the lake to see the crawdads, played at the park. We visited the Florissant cemetary & the hornbeck homestead both were great. Our favorite moments were right here at the cabin playing with the crawdads, watching the stars come out, sitting around the firepit & the comfy comfy beds. The cabin was perfect!! Thanks-You~!

We came out to visit family & enjoy the beautiful Colorado Mountains. This cabin is awesome- what a nice break from the heat & humidity. Took the kids white water rafting, hiked 11-mile canyon, hiked the Florissant Fossil Beds, went to museum in Cripple Creek, sat around the fire making smores & great memories.... The cabin is the perfect place for families to enjoy each other, play games & have special time together. Such a wonderful cabin in the Colorado Mountains on Plamann Lake- Quiet, Peaceful and a great get-a-way for a family. Thanks for the great place to stay~!

Thank-you for the stay at your adorable cabin. We found everything very comfortable and the quietness was much needed after a week on the road. Our main curiosity about the place was that BIG white bird that sailed around the lake nearly all the time. We watched it for a couple of hours each night and made bets on what kind of bird it is-the guesses range from STORK, PELICAN & SWAN with a deformed beak. We finally decided it was some odd species found only on Lake Plamann!! Cool bird though.

Nice warm weather, rode horses, bikes, went to Cripple Creek, explored in the forest, played horse shoes & made campfires ever night. Made smores. Met the kids next door. Great family time in an awesome cabin. Very relaxing.

Even with 8 people and 3 dogs, the house was plenty big and wonderfully stocked! There is so much to do around the area, but sitting on the back deck in the early morning and on the front deck in late afternoon were some of our favorites! Thanks so much!

I recently spent a week at this property. Well equipped with everything you need to feel at home and enjoy. Since I am an avid fisherman, the lake is what enticed me. Caught more than enough to feed the family everyday, and had fun doing it. The view is spectacular, quiet and serene surroundings. Am planning another trip for hunting season as the area is ideal for hunting deer and elk, and the location is great. Am taking my "Mule" next time for more exploring. Thanks for the wonderful vacation.

We recently spent a week at this beautiful cabin overlooking the lake. We had a great time relaxing and enjoying the scenery and fishing in the well-stocked lake. My husband is disabled and has to use a wheel-chair to move around. He was able to go from the house right to the lake shore and enjoyed fishing and riding around the lake. Great surroundings, peaceful atmosphere, and easy access to the area dining and entertainment at the town of Cripple Creek. We are planning a hunting trip in the fall from this location again. Wonderful people to deal with, and cabin is equipped with anything you could possibly need. Just bring your clothes and toothbrush!! Thanks for the great vacation.

My husband & just wanted to thank you so much for a great week at your cozy cabin. It truely was a relaxing and peaceful week. The fishing was EXCEPTIONAL, nothing like eating fresh, mountain rainbow for dinner! When we didn't feel like cooking in your perfectly equiped kitchen, we enjoyed the short 22 mile ride up the mountain to enjoy some of Cripple Creek's finest dinning. We also really enjoyed exploring the trails on our 4-wheelers. We never did explore all of them. We can't wait to come back. Thank you again for sharing your little piece of heaven with us ! Kelly & Les from Aztec, NM.
