Had a great time here with our family! They supplied everything we needed(even though we brought supplies). I felt like we were in our own home! The view was beautiful and peaceful! Loved the hot tub at night and sunset. We all enjoyed the pool table as well. We were so happy to know that the grocery store, gas station and few restaurants were so close to the home. We went horseback riding, hiking, exploring, etc. Grand Lake was great to go and hike and explore. A few things in the cabin were not working so well, but not worth leaving complaints considering it's a rental home and expect people to not take care of things (not the owner, but renters). Lots of hiking trails near the home. The locals were very pleasant. My husband had gotten an infection and we were fortunate enough to be so close to the medical center...wow were they so nice and accommodating! (Only one day lost from it). This was such a nice relaxing and memorable trip. The children loved it as much as we did. I would recommend this log cabin home. We looked for two things in particular, hot tub and internet service, which both were supplied. Great memories...thank you!

We stayed at the Sun Lodge for 5 days and it was absolutely beautiful! We had 3 families with children ranging from 3 to 13. There was plenty of room, the game room dowstairs kept the kids entertained in between the sledding outside in the driveway! The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed, and the setup was great for visiting while preparing meals. The location was perfect, just minutes away from skiing at Grandy Ranch and also a short trip to Winter Park. The house was very clean and organized, plenty of towels, etc. There were a ton of movies, games, sleds, satellite TV, and of course pool, ping pong, and the hot tub. The garage was great for storing all our winter gear. The view was amazing! We were extremely pleased with our choice and would recommend this house to anyone. We would most definitely stay again.

Even the pictures don't do this place justice. The log cabin is built with large logs. We were a group of 3 couples in their 50s. The cabin has 3 very nice rooms. The room in the loft is a bit nicer than the others. As a group we used the kitchen a lot. The cabin is fully stocked and comfortable. I had a large boat, which I parked on the road just in front of the cabin. This place exceeded our expectations and the process of renting was simple and easy. I hope we are able to stay at this cabin again next year.

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. We had a slight problem with a beeping smoke alarm that couldn't be fixed with a new battery but property management took care of everything quickly and efficiently. The place is fully stocked, and everything was in working order. The view from the huge deck was amazing and the location, between Grand Lake and Winter Park, gave us easy access to two Colorado gems. We'd definitely love to come back and have already recommended it to family and friends.

July Weekend Stay
July Weekend Stay
There was some items with this house that show a lack of owners involvement, it was lacking in several areas. I submitted a list on the 1st of July after our stay. To date I have no return mail on this list. Unfortunately - I would not re-book this home because of this lack of communication, and items needing addressed for future bookings. House is in good location and nice views.

Owner response: We have receievd numerous EXCELLENT reviews, e-mails and phone calls thanking us for their enjoyable stay. This is the first time we have had any issues with any guest. The issues were; The WIFI went went down but the computer internet was working so I only have to assume noone wanted to use the computer with printer and fax. We had to order an additional modem because the technicians could not fix in a timely manner. Unfortunately we have no control from the telephone company. The outside grill was dirty. The grill is less than 2 years old and yes griddle is stained black but anyoen who has ever grilled knows that even stainless will stain no matter how much you attempt to clean regularly. Glasses were not complete. We have had servings for 14+ people for thanksgiving dinners with all the fixings and even have more than enough untensils to cook, broil, baste, grill, bake, etc etc. Timer knob on fireplace was missing. Either someone from their party removed or an immediate prior guest removed and noone noticed. We made a quick phone call when were notified after this guest left and it was replaced the same day. It is a shame this guest did not call us when they were there as it could have been replaced. A light bulb was out in the master bath shower. Again, minor things such as ligh bulbs burn out all of the time so a courtesy call from the guest and we could have replaced when they were there. The ceiling fan did not work in a bedroom. It has since been replaced but again if someone from the party had called we would have had it fixed the same day. We are in high altitude and fans are rarely used so it went unoticed. The only relevant comment is the cleaning service, which normally does an impeccable job, left a bed in one of the bedrooms unmade with the clean sheets. If we had received a call the cleaning company would have made the bed immediately. The guest was provided an incredible deal on a magnificant 3 story log home with ameninites such as an outside jacuzzi, pool table, ping pong, board games, books, video game console, LED and flat screen TVs in every bedroom with satellite, granite counter tops in kitchen & all bathrooms so hopefully next time a guest can call if everything is not PERFECT in their eyes as local maintenace, office number and cellular are provided. We want the guest to feel it is perfect. We aplogize for any inconvenice, but we strive to make every stay for every guest a memorable one!!!
The previous reviewer nailed it. The house was beautiful. Situated perfectly above Silvercreek Inn, the floor to ceiling windows in the great room captured beautiful mountain views. The hot tub was well used and worked perfectly, jets and all. Note regarding sleeping description. The ground floor bedroom has two queen beds, main floor- one queen, and loft master has a wonderful king size. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware above typical rental house grade. We cooked every meal and ate at the table that comfortably sat 8. Despite the lack of snow, we had a great time and will definitely return.

Spring Break 2012
Spring Break 2012
Wonderful Home! We had two families (4 adults & 4 kids...ages 12,14,14,17) stay here for Spring Break skiing at Sol Vista. The house had absolutely everything we needed. The fully stocked kitchen was great, we never once ate out the week we stayed here. Great dining table for 8 people. The King bed in the master suite was very comfortable, as well as the 3 other queens in the house. The two sofa beds are what you would expect (thin & springy), would not recommend for an adult, but okay for younger kids who can sleep on anything. The kids loved the pool table/ping pong table and all the Playstation games. The livingroom is very relaxing with comfy leather sofa & chairs, an amazing view from huge windows and a nice fireplace. We spent alot of time in the hot tub, which was wonderful for our sore muscles after skiing. We were dissappointed that the jets on the hot tub were not working. Hopefully that will get fixed soon. Also, the driveway would be very difficult to get up if you didn't have an SUV. Steep and muddy with big ruts in it. But those two items are the only minor complaints we had about our stay. We would definitely recommend the home to others and have already discussed going back again. The owner was very easy to work with and I was always able to speak to someone in the days leading up to our stay when I had a specific questions. Very happy with our choice!!!

This place was so beautiful - we stayed for three nights and had an awesome time. The amazing log decor, top notch appliances and COZY beds, the hot tub, pool and ping pong. The grownups and kids loved everything! And three minutes up the road was great skiing with the kids at Sol Vista. Some of our group went to Winter Park which was only 20 minutes away as well. We highly recommend this place!

Goregous, new mountain cabin with everything you need for a relaxing get away.
Goregous, new mountain cabin with everything you need for a relaxing get away.
My family and I went to this cabin for a long weekend. We were impressed with every room, the view and location. The view seems like it would be far from town but the grocery store is 3 minutes away which worked great with kids. The kids loved the ping pong table and all of the movies and games. No need to bring any toys or movies. The house was stocked with games, videos and everything needed in the kitchen. The towels were presented like a hotel and there were even soaps/shampoo available. The place was very clean and there is a lot of room to hang and store clothes. Access to the garage was very nice. We rented a house last year on the beach in Calif for 1200/day. The amenities could not compare to this place. It was not as clean and it was clear the owners used it to store all their belongings. This house felt like it was ours and everything was ours to use. We loved the proximity to the motorcross track and Winterpark too!
