Big Bear is a spacious (1550 sq ft) one level unit located in a newly renovated superior duplex situated on the convenient lower loop. An eight foot carved bear stands sentry on the covered front porch to greet you. Expansive new picture windows and French doors open to a private covered porch overlooking a view of the mountains and near constant activity from a variety of Rocky Mountain birds that make their winter residence in the lofty backyard pines.

A large open great room with a stone fireplace houses the living room, dining area (comfortably seating 8-10) and a completely updated kitchen. Toasty heated floor tiles warm your feet in both kitchen and bath areas. Ski access is close, and Village shops and eateries are only a short walk away. For your convenience a free shuttle is also available to mountain facilities, and a free snow bus runs back and forth between the mountain and downtown Whitefish. Books, TV's, DVD/Library,cards, board games and puzzles add to the comfort and warmth of this home-away-from-home mountain retreat.

Eight can sleep comfortably. All bedrooms are on the same level; two have queen beds, and the third has two twins. In addition, there is a queen Murphy bed that opens into the great room. All bed and bath linens are provided. Two bathrooms (one with shower/tub and one with walk-in shower) open from the main hallway. The unit has a full-size washer/dryer, microwave, dishwasher, and access to Sherpa pool and hot-tubs. Big Bear has an internet equipped phone jack. A private, locked ski closet keyed to your unit provides secure equipment storage on the front porch. A heated ski room with shelves and coat hooks facilitates drying of boots and outerwear. Firewood and kindling are complimentary, and are stacked on the back porch.
