My husband, my two toddler children, my parents, and a family friend stayed at this amazing home for a week (which was not long enough!). The house is absolutely stunning in everyway down to every detail from decor to sheets, towels, mattresses, appliances, layout, etc. Kitchen was supplied with EVERYTHING you need (minus birthday candles). Plenty of space for everyone. Very child friendly as it is gated AND fenced. Kids loved the bunkbeds. Plus entertainment for kids was supplied such as games, coloring supplies, beach toys and even toys for the big kids (or adults) such as boogie boards were there! The sound system in the house was awesome and now wanted in our home here! The outdoor shower was a favorite by all. The lanai and great room was just perfect and had a wonderful feel. Walking distance to town and beach was very convenient when kids needed naps or some of us had too much sun. My only complaint was the noise from the traffic...becuase the home was on the corner there was quite a bit of street noise from vehicles. The A/C in front master could drown it out but sometimes a few cars could ruin the feel of the serene setting while sitting on the lanai. Becuase of the shrubbery you can't see the cars, but there were sure a few that you could hear. The whole Lazo family made for an unforgettable experience. Wish we were there...but we can't wait to get back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

This beautiful and well-maintained house is less than a block from Hanalei Bay and three blocks from the Hanalei Pier or shopping and restaurants in the town itself. Walk everywhere. As the pictures show, the house is decorated in a comfortable style and enhanced considerably with many paintings by the well-known artist Don Lazo. The masters are surprisingly far apart in this large house, and privacy and quiet are the keywords of the house. Remember to ask Holly for services that will make your visit even better, including massage therapists, a sushi chef, a hiking guide. This is a prime place to shake off the stress and pressures of the mainland.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

The island is so beautiful and coming home to this amazing house makes the trip even more enjoyable. The fact that the beach was walking distance was an unforgettable attribute. We spent many of our days here swimming and soaking up the sun. The waves were even big enough to surf on 2 days in a row. We all hope to come back to this magical island!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Mahalo Nui Loa for our NW Women's Surf Retreat in the beautiful Hanalei Bay House. This lovely home was warmly received by the 10 of us who stayed here. We shared numerous dinners on the Lanai, sang sweet melodies on the deck in the evenings, learned Hula, lei made w/ hula sistas, surfed daily, sunrise yoga and much laughter was shared this week. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, we hope to see ou agian next year!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We came to the Hanalei Bay House to celebrate our 35th anniversary with our 3 chilrdren and their spouses plus our 5 grandchildren - 13 of us under one roof. We loved the house and Hanalei! The location is perfect! Holly and Don made everything special. They found a local chef, Megan, to prepare dinner for our anniversary. It was better than we expected and the ambiance was better than a restaurant. We've taken lots of wonderful family vacations, this one was the best ever! Great Beaches!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
