Welcome to our home in Barrier Dunes! Barrier Dunes is a gated community offering the perfect family vacation. On our property there are 2 pools, (one gulf front), 2 tennis courts, stocked fishing ponds, a playground, and fitness center. Barrier Dunes is walking distance to St. Joseph Peninsula state park, which is 2500+ acres of pristine property showing how Florida "used to be". You can also walk to St. Joseph's bay, and enjoy scalloping and wading through some of the most clear bay waters you will ever see.
At our home, the options for family fun are limitless. You can catch crabs for dinner, as well as fish from shore. The Gulf waters are calm, and most days you will see dolphins playing just offshore. You will enjoy the seasonal migration of Monarch butterflies and boogie boarding and skimboarding bring out the kid in all of us!
Our home offers a true home away from home and will provide you and your family with a vacation you will remember for the rest of your lives, and want to repeat year after year.
On the ground level of our home, you will find a private outdoor shower to get the sand off after a long day at the beach. As you park the car in the covered parking area, enter the foyer and go upstairs. In this main living area you will find the living room with two comfortable sofas and chair, as well as a wood burning fireplace. There is a television with VCR and DVD. In the dining area, we have a table to seat 6 guests and bar chairs to seat another 2 people. The kitchen is fully equipped with many of your favorite utensils and all necessary appliances, plus extras to make cooking in easier.
There is also a 1/2 bath located on this level, as well as DSL Internet. And let's not forget the deck!! The living area enters a large deck complete with table seating for 6 guests as well as another bench to relax. A gas grill is available to cook your day's catch! You can exit the deck directly to the boardwalk to take you to the beach. It really doesn't get any more easier than this!!
The second level has two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The blue bedroom has a double bed, and the bath is complete with a tub shower combination. The yellow bedroom has a double bed as well, with a generous shower in this bathroom. Each bedroom has its own deck, with fabulous unobstructed views! This is a unique amenity in Barrier Dunes, as many of the "back" bedrooms in other units have no view of the beach. In our home....the views are as pretty in one bedroom as they are in any other.
The third level is the Master Suite. The suite is large, with vaulted ceilings,a king size bed and large deck. The view is beautiful and the stargazing at night is great. You will be able to count on seeing a shooting star or two! The master has its own A/C unit to assure a peaceful nights sleep. The Master bath has a separate double vanity, which then enters the large bathroom. The bath is complete with a garden tub and separate shower.
