This house had it all, spa, pool table, games, air hockey and more! Enjoyed the fireplace at night and the well-equipped kitchen to make dinner. The location is a plus too...right down the street from Snow Summit and several restaurants and grocery stores. We will likely be return visitors next time were up there!

Big Bear Retreat

Our family of four and another family of four stayed at this "resort" style home over the Presidents Day weekend and had a blast. There was PLENTY of room for everyone and the home was immaculate. The kids loved the game room playing pool, ping pong and air hockey while the adults loved relaxing by the fire or in the spa after long days of skiing and tubing. We've been coming to Big Bear for years and this was our first time staying at Gary and Mara's. What a jewel of a find. Down the street from the slopes and close to restaurants. We can't wait to return and will DEFINATELY be going back to this beautiful home. Thanks again Gary and Mara for allowing us to stay in your home!!!

My friend and I stayed here the last weekend in January 2012 and by far the house is awesome. Its got everything you need and more. Personally I love how close it is to everything. Grocery store 2 blocks away and the Snow Summit is right up the street. I would highly reccommend this beautiful home. You will not be dissapointed. P.S. Don't forget to turn the water heater on or you might find yourself in a very cold shower!!!

We stayed at this beautiful home with friends to celebrate the New Year and had a wonderful time! The house is conveniently located close to the slopes and right across from the shuttle stop so it was easy to get to the mountain each day. We also enjoyed all the games and activities at the house from pool to ping pong to the variety of board games. The house was wonderful and very well maintained and the owners went out of their way to make our stay an enjoyable one and they were always available to answer questions and help make our stay a wonderful experience. I would definitely reccomend this home for anyone looking for a nice place to enjoy some time in Big Bear as it is close to everything, the slopes, the lake, town, restaurants, and we found some fun sledding hills too! Terrific Big Bear Home

Thanks so much for allowing us to stay in your Big Bear home. We arrived just hours after Mother Nature gave us 12 inches of powder, and were delighted to find the driveway plowed and the steps treated. The location is ideal, close to the grocery store, just down the road from skiing, and near all the fun shops. The home itself is clean, warm, and fully stocked to the last detail. Lots of attention to those small things that make the difference between a house and a home. I spent a lot of time investigating properties at Big Bear before choosing Eagle Point, and we clearly make the right choice. This home is good for families and adults traveling together. Oh, and the owner is very responsive via email, which is important in my book! We had a lovely stay--thank you!

This was my first time renting a house for a family weekend outing. I was very pleased throughout the entire process. The booking and confirmation procedure was worry free and well explained by Gary. The house was exactly as described and more. My entire family was very pleased by all of the amenities that the home offers. The kids really enjoyed the large selection of games and movies. The street and area around the home were very quiet and there was hardly any vehicle traffic going down the street. Very close to the shopping center and is a short drive to the village. The house is very well maintained and is beautiful inside and out. I would recommend this property to anyone who is looking to visit the Big Bear area and wants to stay in an awesome, very well equipped home that is close to everything that Big Bear has to offer.

Wonderful rental

We rented Gary's beautiful property over the Thanksgiving holiday (2011) for a family get together. After renting from an agency the previous year, we were thrilled to deal only with the property owner. Our stay went without a hitch, which is always a pleasure. The owner, Gary, was also a pleasure. Dealing with him was easy and he was always available for any questions we had. Gary even called us on Thanksgiving to make sure there were no problems! The home as you can see is beatiful, stocked with everything we needed for an enjoyable holiday. The property is level, important in the winter, and near just about anything you need. Within walking distance to a park, Von's, Stater Brothers, KMart, CVS, Wallgreens, and a host of restaurants. I will look no further if we rent again, thank you to Gary and his family. I highly recommend Gary's two properties if you're looking for a rental in Big Bear Lake.

We just finished our 6th year in a row staying at this house and the one across the street, staying with 20 women who have been friends for more than 20 years. We used to move around to different places every year, but once we found these two houses on Andes lane, we've been super happy. Everything we need for a great weekend, great accomodations and kitchen materials and very responsive owner. Can't wait to extend it to year #7.

My husband and I are huge fans of the Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead and stay usually in resorts. But we have been talking about renting a cabin for awhile. For our first experuence renting, Eagle Point Retreat met our expectations! The cabin was exactly as the listing had described. It was cozy, inviting and very clean and well-maintained! We had to do absolutely nothing but bring groceries! We were even welcomed with a complimentary bottle of wine. Gary and Mara were great in answering all our questions and concerns in a timely manner. We definitely will be recommending Eagle Point Retreat to friends and family. We will be looking into renting again!

Such an amazing vacation at this place. Everything we needed was available to us. From the indoor hot tub to gaming tables to hdtv, this house was set up right. Very clean and well kept. Great views from the master bedroom balcony. Great location so close to town and everything you might need. Access to amazing hiking trails. Highly recommended.

This home not only had excellent interior designs, showing the snow season but also had any activity you can truly think of. This homes astounding hot tub fullfilled all our needs as well as the hocky, pool, and ping pong table. I wish we had more time to explore all the games that the house had to offer. The convinence of the home was unreal that we have been able to do any activity we wanted within a short period of time.we definitly not only recomend this to our friend ,but we are hopping to wisit very shortly p.s. This property is just as pictured/described. It's very clean and well maintained. The property owners are a pleasure to work with. Our 4 teenagers spent many hours playing ping pong and pool. There is plenty of room for everyone to spread out, relax and enjoy. After long days of hiking and fishing our teens were eager to return to house for a night in. The kitchen area is a good size for cooking large meals. The master bedroom and attached bath is a nice parents retreat. We spend nights out on the balcony... taking in the clean mountain air. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. Shopping and trash site are really close. This property was exactly what we were looking for and we plan return in the winter!

This home was perfect for my friends birthday celebration. It rained the entire weekend so we didn't get to ski, but this house was awesome with the indoor jacuzzi, pool table, ping pong and air hockey. Enough for seven guys to stay entertained. This was a great cabin for a number of reasons. It was clean, modern, NOT "rustic", great layout, very comfy furniture (including the beds), fantastic location and plenty of entertainment. This cabin is 5 mins from everything, including lifts. The entertainment amenities were just awesome! There's a pool table (in great room), air hockey, table tennis (ping pong), bunch of books and games and not to mention an INDOOR hot tub. If I could choose a place to get snowed in, it would be this place. You can entertain yourself for days in this cabin and never get bored!

In October, my husband and I stayed at this cabin for a romantic getaway. Everything was amazing!! Gary and Mara definitely know how to add a bit of personal touch. They had a bottle of wine for us with a kind welcome note. The cabin was imaculate!! The spa is cleaned very regularly. A short drive to hiking and bike trails. They have a book of restaurant menus and attractions. We enjoyed our stay so much that we went back in January and February with our kids and another family. This time, Gary and Mara also had chocolate to welcome us which the kids very much appreciated. They loved the pool table, ping pong table, books and board games that are very well stocked in the cabin. During our latter trips, we WALKED TO THE SKI LIFTS!!! A gem! Would recommend it to couples, families with older or younger kids. A must see!

Eagle Point Retreat is the fourth house we have rented in Big Bear. We go to Big Bear annually for a family gathering. Eagle Point Retreat is by far the nicest experience we have had. The house was extremely clean. It was by far the cleanest house we had ever rented. The house was also well stocked (utensils, towels, toilet paper, etc…). The location is excellent, with proximity to Snow Summit and nearby grocery stores. The driveway is level (did not have to play toboggan with the car getting in and out). More importantly, this house did not feel like a “rental.” This house felt very much like someone’s home.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. It is very spacious, yet cozy. The owners have provided everything that the guests may need and then some. The kids enjoyed the ping pong and air hockey tables. It was a pleasure to stay here. It's great for kids because there is so much to do - board games, videos, pool table...etc. We also liked that the cabin was near everything we needed. The boys loved the 2 sets of bunk beds - a plus. It's a beautiful and well kept home. You can tell that Gary & Mara take pride in their cabin - they put so much detail and thought into it. They generally want your stay to be enjoyable. Their thorough notes also made it easy & their hospitality was great! We look forward to staying here again!

Gary & Mara are wonderful hosts! The cabin/home was perfect for our family getaway. The home was clean, homey and full of FUN things for our family to do. Teriffic house, very cozy, very clean and well maintained. 3rd bathroom, inside spa, and garage access are convenient features. Kitchen was well-equipped, and the living room included games, movies, etc... Home is conveniently located near ski slopes, shopping, restaurants and trash drop-off.
