The Sandcastle - When you enter the doorway of this charming beach-front home, located at 5 49th Street, the stresses of your life will be left behind. Meticulous attention to detail has been spent to create a beach home you will nostalgically reminisce upon for years to come.
In the master suite upstairs, you'll have the ultimate ocean-front vacation experience. You can clearly see and hear the majesty of the Atlantic Ocean, either from the private deck, or from the comfort and luxury of your King size bed. With whirlpool tub, HUGE glass shower, full vanity, and spacious closets, you will be surrounded by elegance.
For group vacations, immaculate attention has been paid to the 3 guest bedrooms. All include Cable TV and a DVD player for guest convenience, as well as a personal bathroom with full vanity. Each has at least a Queen size bed, new pillows, and relaxed furnishings, so you're not only sleeping in comfort, you're resting in style.

Stayed here for a week on a family vacation celebrating a 50th anniversary. Ages 10-77. Perfect size for our group. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom which was great when getting ready to go out. Amazing wrap-around deck with sliders off of every room meant everyone had access to views and ocean breezes. Convenient to everything on the isle and close to Charleston, too. Loved the wide open beach. Owner was very attentive and available to answer any questions. We'll be back!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

The Sandcastle is the greatest vacation my family and I have ever had. Quiet area, huge yard, direct view of the ocean. It is practically ocean front, as the lot in front of is is a sand dune. The beach is beautiful and not crowded. If you love a roomy, neet house, big yard, quiet neiborhood, easy beach access, then this is the place for you. Great for families. 5 Stars from the Moose family. Christy MooseRecommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers.

I stayed at this location 10-08-10 through the 10-11-10. We went to resort quest which is right almost center of the island and they were closed. I saw a guy at this drive thru thing getting keys out so I went there and there was a 800 # to call. I called and was quickly told how to get my keys. We drove up and found the house quickly. We were blowen away when we drove up. 2 car garage but the lights down there didnt turn on. They had a wash area with warm water for when you got back from the beach. Dual staircase to get in the front door. Master bedroom and really nice bath upstairs. The other three bedrooms were nice as well. A wrap around back deck from outside the kitchen to the other side of the house. If your cooking there, they have everything! They also have two grills down stairs if your cooking out. Remember that if your cooking in the kitchen to close the door to the bedroom up stairs or else all of your clothes will be smokey. There is a small sitting area outside the bedroom upstairs so if you need to open up the sliding doors up there you can. Flat screen T.V. in the master bedroom, no fools ball table though. A telescope to look up at the stars at night was nice. The sofa and big man chair are worn out but if you throw some extra pillows on the arms and back it'll be comfy. Lights through out the house are a little tricky but once you get the hang of it it's easy. Not a far drive from Charleston and you can take a major hwy there of the scenic view down the island. We did both and liked the scenic view better. The house is about 100 yeards from the beach, the master bedroom has the best view of the beach. Plenty of seashells for the whole family to take back. This is a rough cut rustic beach house with all the amminities you'll need. The house is very clean and smells like it has been kept clean. The house is also forsale so I don't know how long this house will be avaliable to rent. Hey who knows you might like the house so much where you wont have to leave! Awesome getaway at a great price if the beach is where you want to be. It's about the same price as a disney getaway with all the competition. If you have elderly people staying consider all the stairs because there is no elevator or ramp to get up. Other then that, that's all I have to say.
