The view spectacular. Great for families with little children. The grass area was just the place for them to play. Close to great water activities. Loved every minute of our stay. We would come back in a minute.

I turned 50 in Kauai with my husband and 2 teenage boys, it was awesome! The house was perfect. No matter what we did during the day, we couldn’t wait to get back to the Banana Beach House to relax and enjoy the sound of the surf and the view from the lanai . Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with families like us who may never have this chance again.

We had 1 other family stay with ours while at the house and our expectations for the house were exceeded. We had great walks on the beach where we saw monk seals, did lots of snorkeling for sea shells, and of course are daily trips into Hanalei for Shaved Ice. Great house, we look forward to coming back next year!!

My partner and I had rented a house in Hanalei in January, fell in love with the North Shore, and returned on January 30th for another week. Our original house not being available, we were lucky to find this one, the Banana Beach House. It's right on the beach, and of course the winter seas in Kauai can be awesome. We again enjoyed dinner at the Mediterranean Gourmet Restaurant (at the nearby Hanalei Colony Resort), which is recommended for a drink at the bar, dinner, or both. Great food, very well managed. The house is big, great for a crowd, yet had an intimate friendliness that made it just fine for two persons. We didn't scratch the surface on the many amenities the house offers and loved those we did. This house is only slightly more expensive than the Monarch Suite at the St. Regis Princeville. Considering the chefs on call at the Banana Beach House, the fine art on the walls (more superb paintings by our favorite painter, Don Lazo), the size, the quality of the furnishings, etc., why would you sacrifice the luxury and privacy of this rental for the company of conventioneers? Excellent surfing nearby.

Finally, a VRBO rental that really is a great as it looks in the pictures. Our family of 10 people (3 generations) enjoyed every moment at the Banana Beach House. The home is well appointed and beautifully decorated. The open floor plan allowed for lots of great family memories and the large private bedrooms provided plenty of privacy. Although this beach isn't great for either snorkeling or surfing it is right out the front door and it's perfect for a quick dip, and floating in the waves. The location in Haena is more remote than some people might like but it was perfect for us. Beautiful, tropical and right in the middle of all the things we love about Hawaii - hiking, kayaking and a natural Hawaiian environment. Thanks to Holly, Logan and Don for your help along the way.

Our third visit to Banana Beach House and it is a confirmed love affair. What a perfect place to unwind and enjoy life. We adored the sunsets, the sound of the rain on the palms, and the spectacular views and life generally. We hope to return to your home again.

The only bad thing I can say about the Banana Beach House is that we never wanted to leave! This was our second time here, and we enjoyed it even more than the first time.

Banana Beach House is the best! Everything just perfect! Every time we turned around we found another beautiful piece of are , furniture, and convenience. The island, coast, water, and people of Kauai are perfect! PS. Johnny Depp missed out! He should have stayed at BBH instead of Princeville!

The Banana Beach House was everything and more than the listing indicated. It was understated luxury, spacious, inviting and very comfortable for our two families. The two master suites were wonderful - one had a view of the ocean and the other a view of the mountains. There were breathaking views of the ocean from the great room, dining area and kitchen. We dined al fresco with palm trees in the background. The location of this house was ideal. We had a wonderful beach mostly to oursleves. The water was clear, the colors glorious and the snorkeling quite good. The neighborhood was peaceful. We went into Hanalei for excellent dining and fun shopping experiences. The amenities, layout, furnishings and location of the Banana Beach House made this a truly dream vacation. Kudos to the owners for doing it right!

This house is amazing! The view is incredible and the location couldn't be better. You can enjoy the somewhat private beach in front of the house or take a short, beautiful drive to some of the less-secluded, more popular spots. The house is so well equipped with anything you may need, it's like being at home. We had a great week - we hope to return next year!
