Weather was great
Weather was great
We left the cold, snow of Wisconsin for February in Florida. The weather was great, but we had some disappointments with the condo. The beautiful pool was unheated and too cold for more than a dip on one of the hotter days. Although the bathrooms were very nice, the rest of the condo could use some updating and brightening. We were disappointed in the lack of outdoor space. There was only a small patio and the owner belatedly supplied the grill we had expected on arrival. A little attention to details would make this a much better vacation option. The residents of the complex were very helpful and friendly and very good at making suggestions, but we found nearby Punta Gorda to have better shopping, waterfront activities, and restaurants. Maps of the area are deceiving. It took almost 40 minutes to get to the gulf coast beaches. We'll look for something closer to the water next time.
