Property shaded by huge live oak, spacious yard fenced for security. Fully equipped kitchen. Large dining area that has space and set-up for small office. Screened porch with swing opens to living and dining areas. There is an additional dining area on the porch, and a convenient deck off the back of the house with outdoor shower. A great little place to relax and enjoy the breeze!

Sandpiper - ~A~ Quiet Island Getaway
This county run facility includes a water park and a putt-putt course. There is also an a playground next door.
Great shops and fun shopping abound! If that's not your thing, enjoy people watching, crabbing or fishing at the pier.
A great way to tour the island is by bike. Ocean Motion Surf Co (912-638-5225) has bikes to rent for the day or week. They are located a few blocks from the house.
A short walk from the house you will find three restaurants, including The Crab Trap.
A short drive from Sandpiper is a public beach with large parking lot and bathroom facilities.
Here you will find a large playground, restroom facility, and parking lot with access to the beach.
Several public tennis courts are located here...a children's playground is across the street.
A favorite biking destination...pack your binoculars and plan to view many coast birds. Along the way be on the look out for brown bunnies early in the morning or late in the afternoon!

The owner was an absolute dream to work with! The cottage itself is cozy, just the right size for me and my husband. Plenty of towels and comfortable furnishings. Unlike many pet-friendly cottages, you'd never know it here - not a hair to be found! We would definitely stay here again!
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, pet owners, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

Stayed here week before Memorial Day Weekend. Property Management folks very friendly, efficient and helpful. Cottage very clean, modest but charmingly decorated, fully equipped (including wireless), centrally located. Fully fenced so great for kids and the family pet. Our standard poodle was right at home. Nights on the porch. Kitchen open, easy place to cook. Grilled in the backyard. Rode bikes about everywhere. Loved the island - especially those live oaks draped in moss. Beautiful. We'll be back.
