awesome sreened in porch w/ hot tub and tv.. loved the balcony off the upstairs bedroom..nice. quiet and peacefull, beautiful home
Owner response:Paul, Thanks for the continued accolades about BearItAll! The screened porch is definitely one of the hi-lites of the cabin. The balcony off the master suite upstairs is great for enjoying morning coffee or a late night smoke. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to have you back soon!

We go somewhere every Labor Day for our anniversary, and spent this year at Bear it All cabin. It was a perfect weekend, cabin has everything you need, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We liked knowing we were in a gated community for safety reasons. Ping Pong was a blast, but the hot tub was the bomb! Can't wait to go back another day, hopefully before next year.
Owner response:Brian and Tina, Thanks so much for your wonderful comments about BearItAll! I'm so glad you were able to get away for Labor Day and especially proud that you chose our cabin. We try to improve upon ways to make our guests' stay more enjoyable and will continue to do so in the future. Don't forget about our ten percent discount for repeat guests that is always available to you or your referrals!

My girlfriend and I rented the cabin for just a few days as we were hiking the local trails. The place was spotless, the price was more than fair, and the area around the cabin was beautiful. Everything about this cabin was fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone.
Owner response:Michael, Thanks so much for the awesome review of the BearItAll Cabin! We try to keep it as tidy as possible, keep it reasonable for most families and couples, and provide a great deal in these trying economic times. BearItAll is certainly a wonderful value when you compare it to a hotel room in town and we're so happy when guests, like yourself, enjoy their stay!

We spent three nights in this cabin. I wanted to stay forever. My only problem was we only had four washcloths, but we ran into the store and bought some without a problem. The cabin was lovely and the memories we made will last a lifetime! I hope we can visit again soon!
Owner response:We're so glad that you enjoyed the stay. Whenever we get the chance to come up to the cabin, we always wish we had more time. It's so relaxing. As mentioned, we have purchased additional wash cloths so there should be more than adequate bathing towels. One of the nice things about this cabin is it is pretty close to town and the new Walmart so in case you need something, it's just a hop, skip and a jump. Thanks again for the kind words and please come back soon.

We spent 3 nights in this cabin in early May. Beautiful cabin. It had been some time since it was last rented and it could have used a little cleaning--not much; but, there had been a storm just before our booking and the porches needed to be cleaned. Only four wash cloths in cabin. Overall, I would stay at this cabin again.View was not what I expected; trees in front blocked most of the view. The owner was very helpful and nice. We love this part of Georgia..We will be going back this fall.
Owner response:Buddy, Thanks so much for the comments....we try to keep the cabin as clean as possible but if there is a storm prior to a stay, there may be some debris on the porches. Additionally, the pollen in Georgia has been horrendous in April and parts of May! We have purchased more wash cloths as it seems many become worn/bleached and need to be put up in the spare linen closet on a regular basis and therefore, used only for backups. Finally, in the summertime, the trees spread their wings and do block some of the frontal view of the mountains, however, the view from the hot tub remains relatively unobstructed. Please come back in the fall to have full unobstructed views from most every angle!

My husband and I went with our three adult children, one daughter-in-law and two grandchildren to Bear It All for spring break. We had a terrific time. It was easy for us to spread out in our separate space or be all together in the living room. We grilled steaks, hamburgers and hot dogs while we were there. The grill worked really well. There is a lot to do close by; horseback riding, hiking and fishing in Vogel State Park, climbing up to Brasstown Bald (the highest point in Georgia) and after days like that, it was great to be able to relax in the jacuzzi on our backporch. Ping pong was a big hit (no pun intended). That was some great family time, too. It rained one day so we took a little "day trip" down to Dawsonville to the outlet mall. We found a great place in Blairsville for breakfast - the Saw Mill. We had a great time!

This was a much needed vacation for my husband and I. The cabin was very clean, modern, and beautiful. It has all of the conveniences of home The pictures do not relay how nice the cabin really is. We loved the privacy and the serenity of the location. . The transactions with the owner were very smooth. Craig was very friendly. We both loved the floor to ceiling fireplace. That was a highlight for us. This cabin would be easy to share with two other couples since all of the bedrooms are on separate levels. (We did not go downstairs until we were looking for the trash bins. Silly us, we could have played table tennis in the basement!) All in all, this was a wonderful vacation, we will recommend this cabin to friends, and look forward to staying here again in the future. Thank you so much! Side Note: We tried to use the jacuzzi on the last day that we were there. We followed all of the instructions in the guidebook, but it never warmed up to the appropriate temperature. Since this was on a very last day we did not get a chance to use it. It was still a five-star experience despite not being able to use the jacuzzi.
Owner response:Thanks so much for the kind words! Dependent upon the outside temperature, it may take the 450 gallon Jacuzzi Tub several hours to warm up. In colder weather, it averages a gain of about 2-3 degrees per hour. If you plan on using the Jacuzzi, my advice is to turn it up to about 101 when you first arrive. We are so glad that you had a good time, anyway!

This cabin was a great place to stay for three couples. The layout was ideal and the back porch was a great place to watch football on Saturday. Overall, I found the property to be well maintained and I would reccomend this to anyone looking for a quiet mountain retreat. The nearby "Old Union" golf course was quiet challenging and enjoyable. We will most likely be returning soon.

Loved the cabin. On the more scenic side of Blairsville without being too far from town. Only about 20 minutes from huge Lake Chatuge via the back roads. And only several miles from Brasstown Bald, the highest mountain in GA. Craig's cabin is very comfortable and easy to get to. It also has very nice amenities like a HUGE hot tub, and a pingpong table for the kids in the basement. And sinced we cooked out own dinner on 5 of the nights that we stayed there, I liked that there was a full propane tank available for the gas BBQ grill. As mentioned by another traveler, the cabin could use one more placesetting of 4 dishes. But other than that, it was great. And Craig is very responsive in his replies to your needs. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Craig !
Owner response:Thanks so much for the wonderful words and we are so glad you had a good time! We have added numerous place settings as they go missing or are broken on occasion. Sorry about that! There should be enough for at least 8 people, now.

Stayed at the cabin June 24 - July 3, 2010. Cabin was in a quiet area but close to shopping, hiking trails and sights. Discription and pictures are very accurate. Very easy drive up to the cabin after you leave the main road. Cabin was very clean and bedrooms where spacious. Back screen porch with hot tub was wounderful, very relaxing as well as the rockers on the front porch. If you go for sights or just relaxing you have found your retreat. Craig and his team were very helpful and prompt with any questions I had. The only down fall was there where not enough dishes (dinner plates) to service 7. So we used plastic and paper which worked better with children. Overall I would do this trip again. Enjoyed being with family and friends in a beautiful place.

My husband and I enjoyed the cabin with two other couples. It was perfect because each couple had their own floor and private bathroom. All rooms were spacious, clean, and welcoming. Although we went during summer, the hot tub was in impecable condition, and the outside temperature even dropped cool enough at night for us to enjoy it. You couldn't beat the back screened porch, which allowed for everyone to comfortably gather and watch the Braves play. We especially like the gated entrance at the road, which gave us a sense of privacy and protection. Everyone rested well. We're planning on returning.

Thank you Craig for letting us rent your beautiful cabin. We had such a great time. Everything was wonderful from the chairs on the porch to the hot tub. It was 8 of us who stayed and we had plenty of room. We love the wonderful view as well as the great ping pong table. The kids roamed all over taking in the sights of nature. The town of Blairsville was so quaint. Thank you again for opening up your "2nd Home" to us. We will without a doubt call you again when we are ready to visit this area again.

Thursday Oct 19 - Off to Gatlinburg, TN!!!! It's foggy and rainy, but oh well. Back through the Nantahala National forest which was now an even better patchwork of perfect peak foliage. We rose above the fog and the colors were more brilliant than yesturday with the leaves wet from rain. Up through Cherokee into the Great Smoky Mountains. (Now I know why they say GREAT) Went to Gatlinburg...did the space needle, ski lift, had a nice lunch. But, I could skip Gatlinburg next time and just spend more time in the Great Smokies. No words or pictures can describe the beautiful vistas up and down and all around. A place not to be missed is Clingman's Dome (elevation 6643). Too beautiful for words. Friday Oct 20 - Our 1st lazy morning. It is now really peak foliage in Blairsville. We have watched it change every day! Didn't leave the cabin til noon. Went to Helton Creek Falls. Beautiful and too close and easy to miss. The sun coming through at noon was so peaceful filtered throught the trees down to the falls. Then back up above Vogel State Park to Hwy 180, to Slaughter Mountain (elevation 3260), Lake Winfield Scott, down to Suches. RT 60 south to Woody Gap is spectacular!!! Chestatee Overlook!! Back to Dahlonega for lunch at Olde Town Grill (The Best BBQ). Just love that town. Then 52 west to Amicalola Falls State Park! Looking back on Tuesday, we were so far off trying to get there from where we were. The park is great! The falls you have to see for yourself. The highest falls east of the mississippi at 729 feet! We took the less scenic but quickest way back (52 west to Hwy 515/76). Ok, it's that time again, cocktails, hot tub, fireplace. Also time to pack and get ready to leave. It's been beyond great! Now headed to Savannah, St. Augustine, then home to take down the hurrican protection and decorate for Halloween and get ready for the holidays!! Thanks so much for a great home base for our adventure!

Monday Oct 16 - Drove east today...Young Harris, Hiawassee, Lake Chatuge...up to Chatuge Dam. Back down to Young Harris for lunch at the country club. Getting low on cocktails and found out we were in a dry county or town or whatever...we're not used to that so off to Murphy, NC to ABC. Paid $80 for what we usually pay $53, but oh well. (Owner note: Blairsville and Union county are no longer dry, beer and wine can be purchased!) It became an extremely stormy night. We could hear breaking branches all around, high winds, heavy rain but cozy fireplace and cocktails suited us nicely. Tuesday Oct 17 - Still raining. Oh well. We're on vacation. Did the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad to Copper Hill, TN. Had lunch there. Got off the train and drove around Lake Blue Ridge, then south trying to find Amicalola Falls...bad map, poor directions, got lost, never got there but saw beautiful hills and color. Back to the cabin...ate in, had cocktails, hot tub!!! Wednesday Oct 18 - Off to meet friends in Cashiers, NC. This was a great day of beauty. Full peak color everywhere. Rabun county is beautiful (Rt 76-441-246/106). The drive through Highlands and Cashiers is terrifying at times, but gorgeous vistas!! Lunch in Cashiers at High Hampton country club and a great buffet. Then north to Franklin on Hwy 64. Saw 2 beautiful waterfalls. But just when we thought we saw it all, no way, the drive back to Blairsville via 64 was the most impressive of all so far. What vistas!! This day trip took us through 3 national forests: Chattahoochee, Sumter, and Nantahala. Had dinner at the Barn Door in Young Harris. Back to the cabin for cocktails and rocking on the front porch. It was a a very clear starry night.

Saturday Oct 14 - Just spent 2 great days in Atlanta then drove up. Toured Blairsville, got our "bearings" somewhat. Lunch at "Cookes" ....good BBQ pork. Went to the the little market next door for a few essentials then got to BearItAll around 4pm. Ate at "home"...cocktails, hot tub...Everything is lovely! Sunday Oct 15 - It was a clear, crisp, blue sky day. Went to Brasstown Bald!! Amazing Vistas! Then drove south thru Helen...I'm sure that everyone that intended to be there had a ball, but we just wanted to drive thru to see it. Big mistake during Octoberfest! It took about 45 minutes to go 2-3 miles. Eventually ended up in Dahlonega as planned. Enjoyed the Gold Museum and history. This town is so quaint and beautiful. Great shops and restuarants. Had dinner at Piazza! Great italian food and service if you love garlic...great wine list too. Back to cocktails in the hot tub. Great day. We heard very slow, large footsteps outside. A bear perhaps? Also saw deer and very busy squirrels getting ready for winter.

Off to the mountains to christen BearItAll. Robin and I put the top down on the Sebring and headed north. It was an absolutely beautiful day! Found the cabin no problem. What a beautiful place! After meeting everyone we started to eat, drink, and be merry. My first jagermeister shots, yum yum. Hot tubbing was great until I got over-heated but cooled off and got right back in. Slept great on the blow up mattress and woke up feeling great! Coffee and rocking chairs, great friends, it don't get any better than that! Thanks Craig for all your hospitality!

Last ones to get here....last ones to leave! Craig invited us up for the Labor Day Weekend to have drinks and fun! We had the drinks and had the fun and were first ones to get naked in the hot tub. We helped everyone else do the same. Craig took us to Helton Creek Falls to climb, get cool, and a little wet. We cooked a great dinner, Eddie and Craig beat each other in ping pong and we finished up the night in the hot tub. See you again, soon!

Craig invited me to spend the night at his cabin last night. I just got out of the hospital after surgery and wanted to get away after being couped up in the house for 2 weeks. Last night we grilled out and hung out in the huge hot tub, listened to music, mostly out on the screened porch. It's so beautiful up here. Craig has done a wonderful job of decorating. I love the colors! Very muted earth tones with cabin motif. Entirely different than my cabin. I love coming up here to see what new things Craig has done. Looking forward to many happy cabin memories.
