The "Makai Lanai" (Seaview Patio) is two state of the art solar- and wind powered homes. The main home {1,500 sq.ft.} and guest {475 sq.ft.}, sit on our own 68 private acres with access by only one private road - which regular passenger cars, vans, etc., can access with no problems. From our huge lanai in "TOTAL PRIVACY" - look at our over 180 degree spectacular panoramic view of miles upon miles of undeveloped virgin Hawaiian coast line, sunbathe, stargaze, relax or just sit in awe of our total isolation and privacy.
Along the coastline down below the homes there are several deserted beaches (2 black, 1 white, and 1 green sand with miles upon miles of undeveloped coastline. These can be accessed by a public right of way road that is cindered and hard pan Lava. It is called road to the sea. The optional guest home is always empty and will only be rented to your party if you need the additional space for your party thus assuring your total privacy.
We are perfectly located half way between Kona and the Volcano. This will save on average 1 hour drive time each way on your daily drive times when you explore both sides of this huge island. A sense of isolation and peacefulness exists even though you are only 5 miles from the small town of Ocean View with its amenities (i.e. restaurants, groceries, gas, post office, shopping, etc.)
Exploring the coastline in this area of the Island below our homes, there are different colored beaches, enclosed swimming lagoons, archeological sites [heiaus, petroglyphs, villages, etc.] The coastline here is virtually deserted of people.

Rate Details (In US Dollars)
Main House: $125/night on 4 night minimum sleeps 6 comfortably.taxes included!!
Guest House: Will only be rented in conjunction with Main House for extra $35/nt.
We pay $50 and you $50 for independent cleaning company for 1 time clean, laundry.
Reserve: 50% nonrefundable deposits on your total - Balance due before arrival.
Maid: optional $10 additional/day (dishes, beds, trash removal).
Caretakers: May be met at their store, "SolarWorks!" in the Ocean View.
On arrival day home is unlocked with keys on counter by caretakers.
No increase in fees for high season times same price all yr. around.
