This apartment was delightful, and fit our needs perfectly. Linda met us and was very welcoming and helpful, with great ideas for neighborhood places to visit. You can park your car right outside and forget about it during your stay---the ferry terminal is so close, and the neighborhood is interesting and varied. Staying here during NYC Marathon weekend worked great for us. We'd recommend Victorian Villa to anyone, hope to return soon ourselves. The Polish cafe on Conger was a great place to eat, as was Pier 76 on Bay.

we are so glad we picked this rental for our weekend of shopping and theatre. the rooms are even nicer than in the pictures and nice and cosy in november. shower: great. the short walk to the ferry was exhilarating -- we never even considered driving over to manhattan. just knowing the car was on a safe, quiet street made our stay relaxing. linda kindly directed us to a yummy polish restaurant at the bottom of the street and helped us find shopping on staten island. we are raving about this place to our friends. so close to manhattan yet a world away for security and quiet. and with the ferry available we could stay out in manhattan as late as we wished. a very enjoyable stay. thank you linda and neil.

We rented two of the apartments in Victorian Villa for a month, while working on a project in downtown Manhattan. The location is superb, just a short walk to the Ferry into Manhattan and to a large variety of small shops, Saturday farmers' market and some really good restaurants. Our apartment, Anna, on the 2nd floor, was charming, spotless and outfitted with everything we could possibly want or need. It overlooked the lovely private garden and even had a small porch with table and chairs, perfect for coffee and the Sunday Times. Parking on the street was free and plentiful, as promised. The owners were gracious and very responsive but not at all instrusive. All in all, the apartment was one of the highlights of our month in NYC. The best restaurant we ate at during the month was Enoteca Maria, on Hoyt Street - just a five minute walk from the apartment. Definitely worth checking out - each night a different Italian "grandmother" or nonna, cooks dishes from her particular region. Fantastic!

Quiet and very accommodating apartment with extremely convenient location to Staten Is Ferry to NYC. The owner was very gracious and helpful. The apartment itself could use a little 'spiffing up' and this would not be a place for someone who is unable to take on a significant set of stairs. For the convenience and price, we would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed on Staten Island may times because my daughter attended Wagner College, also located on Staten Island. The villa was a great price and very convenient to the school and the ferry to get into Manhattan. Everything we needed was in the condo and more. Wish I would have known about the property her freshman year. I will definately look into renting this property, if I ever get up to NYC again.

There is one fact that i can tell you guys, I visited the Victorian Villa for the second time this year. it was more than beautiful and definitely not the last time for me . The location is just one of a kind and you just have to walk for like 5-10 minutes to reach the staten island ferry for a trip to manhattan. Thanks again to these amazing and warmhearted hosts (hope we'll see us again next year :) ). everything was as described and absolutely worth the stay.

My first time ever renting rather than going the "hotel route". I was skeptical at first, not knowing what I was getting myself into but after easily locating the address on my GPS, and a nice note with keys waiting for me with my name on them at the front door...I was already being shocked with convenience and a warm welcome. When my 12 year old and I entered the apartment we were pleasantly surprised with all our apartment offered. We literally had a home for 2 weeks and there was not one thing I could think of that the place needed and didnt already have. Alot of space for the 2 of us, comfortable, clean, all kitchen utencils and cooking equipment etc. all we had to do was take a quik 2 minute drive up the street (walked a couple of times) to the grocery store where we found everything from milk to fresh mussels and oysters, ice cream etc. How about the 10 minute walk to the Staten Island Ferry which we used everyday which runs every 30 min. 24/7 FREE!! There was a total of 2 days where we didnt go to Manhatten and stayed on the island as Staten Isl. itself has EVERYTHING you need and want from amazing restraunts to beautiful trails and parks with superb sights and picturesque scenes. Did I mention FREE parking outside the house where you can see the car from your living room window? Six Flags N.J. was a quik hour drive from the house and when I lost my keys on "EL TORO" the landlord was more than helpfull to assist me in getting me back into the house after midnight without even a hint of negativity for being bothered. If my boy and I ever return to NYC, we wont even search for another place to stay and without hesitation, will come back to this house FOR SURE! I struck gold with this place and to this day I still tell all of my work peers about it! You WONT be dissappointed!!

we enjoyed our visit to NYC and enjoyed staying here! Everything was as described, nice and quite and just a short (and pleasurable) walk to the ferry. We even found a GREAT Greek restaurant and some FAB cheesecake by the theater!!! A must stay!
