  "At Home" was a charming place to stay with a wonderful location. It was an easy walk from the house to all of the attractions in Brugge. The grocery store up the street was perfect for picking up breakfast items and we cooked at the house two nights as well. We were 2 families with 4 kids total (2 infants). Francis and Louise were so accommodating, they brought over toys to for the kids to play with, had a small crib and a bed rail for the bunk beds. They were also were able to answer any questions and concerns about the house, and we appreciated their knowledge of Brugge. Our only suggestion would be that the chairs in the dining room and the couch in the living room need to be updated as they are not very comfortable. Thank you for a delightful stay!

The couch came directly from the upholsterer and you were the first user...maybe too new!!! We buy the other armchair now in January 2013. Kind regard Louise and Francis

  I would give this property TEN stars if I could. The house is delightful, in a quiet street 10 minutes walk to the center of Bruges. This neighborhood is praised in Rick Steves' book for charm, convenience, discoveries and serenity. The Carrefours grocery a block away had everything, including fresh bread and croissants delivered at least twice a day. Several nearby restaurants (5 min walk) were a joy. The house is exceptionally well equipped for a rental, with top-grade appliances and a large sunny kitchen. The garden is brilliant. Best of all were the hosts, who were gracious, generous, knowledgeable, and helpful in every way. They have been renting for 16 years and their experience shows. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

  We stayed "At Home" for 12 days in June of 2012, it's the first time I have used this site to find a rental and I must say we were all very pleased with it, it had everything we needed. My mom is from Kokelare orginally and we've never been there so we made this trip with my mom, 2 sister's, brother-in-law and my Aunt, all 6 of us, there was plenty of room specially with the 2 full baths and 1/2 bath for all of us to get ready! It was also nice having a private parking area. The garden was beautiful but it was ashame we never got to use it because of the weather. Francis and Louise were very helpful when we needed them but otherwise left us to ourselves. I hope to go back with my husband and hopefully they will still have this place waiting for us!!   We had a great stay at "at home". The location was quiet and relaxing but a short walk to everything we wanted to see. There was plenty of room for us and having the extra bathroom/wc was a plus for everyone to get ready. The secure parking spot was great to park the car and leave it once we arrived. I wish the weather had cooperated a bit more for our stay to be able to use the great garden area. The one day we sat in the sun with a glass of wine was great.

  We just spent a long weekend at this great house in Bruges. We were 2 families with a total of 3 children. The 2nd floor attic has a great bedroom with it's own bath, and it's very quiet so we stayed there with our toddler son. One of the other rooms has bunk beds, which was great for the 2 older kids. There is also a sand pit with lots of sand toys and an extraordinarily beautiful garden. A nice balance so that you can spend time at the house as well as in the city. The distance to the city was also great. It was nice to be just outside of the central city as it can be quite packed with tourists. Staying just a short walk outside gives you a very different feel for the city. Even though it rained for a lot of our stay we had no problems walking around the city. A grocery store, bakeries, and restaurants are also located very near the house. I highly recommend this place and would stay there again!

  We stayed here for 5 days in April and had a wonderful time. The house is ideally located for walking into the heart of Bruges and the accomodation is clean and comfortable. Ours hosts were very welcoming and prompt to deal with any query. There was plenty of information within the house, on things to see and do and the garden was a welcome oasis after walking around the town ! We would strongly recommend this property to anyone wishing for a short (or long) stay in this most attractive of Flemish cities.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

  We had a lovely stay in Bruge and very much enjoyed the house rental. We walked everywhere all the while staying in a quiet residential section of town. The Market is a nice 10 minute walk passed lovely buildings and the canal. Francis and Louise were great hosts leaving us alone but were only a knock away if we needed them. The house was very clean and homey. Had everything we needed for our stay. The private garden is a plus! We plan to go back in Spring or Summer to enjoy sitting out on the table. Overall a very splendid time and a great memory. Thank you so much Francis and Louise, Art and I look forward to returning.

  We stayed in "At Home" for a week in late November. We found the property to be very clean & comfortable, with all of the space, equipment & furnishings that we could possibly have needed. The beds were very comfortable (not always the case) & there was always plenty of hot water for baths & showers. It is a really lovely place to stay in a quiet part of the town, but only a few minutes walk from all of the action. Although it did take my son, future daughter in law & I more than a few minutes to get back after a great afternoon sampling belgian beers in one of the very friendly bars in the town. Louise met us when we arrived & was available to help if we wanted anything. We will certainly be coming back to this super property in this wonderful town.

  We all really enjoyed our stay at 'At Home'. The house was brilliant and had a really homely feel about it, especially with the open fire. We had everything we needed and the location was fantastic. Francis and Louise were really helpful in every way and maintained the house to an excellent standard. Worth noting that the 'stick beds' are bunk beds! There was lots to see and do and all so near to the centre of Bruges (15-20mins walking distance). We would definitely recommend this property and if there are only two of you then 'La Tour' looked fantastic. Thanks to Francis for the guided tour!

  Excellent property in very good location. Well maintained and good value with everything you need to hand and owners nearby if needed. Slightly difficult to find originally but follow good instructions from owners and you'll be fine!
