Yucatan Area is located in the lower part of La Quinta Cove, nestled against the Santa Rosa Mountains. Our home is located in this quiet neighborhood adjacent to the mountains with walking trails and bike paths shared with road runners, quail, and other desert life. The hiking is perfect for one day walks or several days of hiking pleasure. The desert plants, fauna, sunrises, sunsets, crisp starry nights, offer transcendence to another place and time.
The town of La Quinta is know for art by local artisans, shopping of all kinds, and fine dining with old world charm. In the town there are many dining choices such as: Arnold Palmer's Restaurant with nightly music and dancing, great food, and a putting green should you have to wait for a table; or Clint Eastwood's Hog's Breath Inn, a charming old nearby Mexican Cantina, the family owned Italian Restaurant, and many more. Our favorite is the Stuft Pizza with a great menu offering steaks, salads, vegetarian, deep fried appetizers, healthy to not healthy, something for everyone; along with their fun filled sports bar. Remember the renowned La Quinta Spa and Hotel is 3 minutes away with their (2) famed golf courses, tennis, great restaurants like Adobe Grille, and their fabulous spa. All for your indulgence.
The World Renowned Annual Tennis Tournament - formerly known as Pacific Life, the Annual Indio Horse Show/Home of the Champions are both only a short eight to ten minute drive away.
There are numerous golf courses to choose from. Too many. Take your pick. The desert has so many annual golf tournaments to attend, it is hard to keep track of them all, especially with PGA-West less than 5 minutes away. PGA-West offers superb golf on the well known Stadium Course and the nearby Dave Pelz golf school is also a big attraction. Golf is certianly no object here in the desert. *Don't forget that many local golf courses have great driving and practice ranges that can be enjoyed at reasonable daily rates.
There food shopping choices nearby like Jensen's (Gourmet Food Selections), Trader Joes,Von's, Albertson's. Smart n Final and many more. Great restaurants are in abundance, as is every strip mall imagineable. Somehow in the last five years, all these strip malls popped up, which can be viewed as good or bad? Depending on your thoughts and needs at the moment. If you are looking for the larger shopping malls or shopping on the world famous El Paseo Drive, comparable to Rodeo Drive, there are even more incredible restaurant selections to choose from, only a 20-25 minute drive away. Truly the desert has it all, something for everyone.
Our home is sooooooo conveniently located. While we are five minutes away from it all, once at our home, you will enjoy feeling worlds apart from all the hustle and bustle.
The peace and tranquility throughout the area is yours to savor. Our home was professional decorated in Native Decor: a blend of American Indian relics, some Mexican infulence including porcelain Mexican sinks in all three bathrooms, along with Asian and Hawaiian Art selections. All mediums superbly combined and intertwined with rustic and new, from big comfy chenille furnishings to rich leather sofas, heavy pine armoires, and best of all, getting the best nights sleep imaginable. Where did you get those beds?, we are frequently asked? Our floor plan is open, inviting, and comfortable for one couple, two couples, three couples, or a family with children. There are two complete master suites. Each having a king bed, seperate bathroom, walk-in closet, and the third bedroom has two twin beds, with twin trundle beds underneath and their own bathroom.
