Our elegant 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath villa is located in the prestigious Waikoloa Beach Resort on the world famous Kohala Coast (or "Gold Coast") of the Big Island. the floor plan of this very private villa is the larger and most desirable of the 2 bedroom models offering spacious accommodations, total privacy and outstanding views.
This premier exclusive resort community is renowned for it's beautiful beaches, upscale amenities, great shopping, restaurants, golf and nearby activities. The exclusive gated complex of Waikoloa Colony Villas is located 18 miles north of the Kona Airport on 22 beautifully lushly landscaped tropical acres.
Our unobstructed private view looks out over the golf course, swaying palm trees and the volcano's. It's location is very private and quiet yet close to all the resorts amenities. The Colony Villas feel more like a home rather than a condo. With only six side by side units to each building it is the least densely populated complex in the area. At the nearby beaches - Waikoloa, world famous Hapuna and Mauna Kea Beaches you can swim, sunbathe, take a sailboat charter, snorkel or scuba charter boat, sightseeing and sunset cruises, rent a kayak or take windsurfing lessons. The Kings Shops with exceptional restaurants and quality shopping is within walking distance too. The location of the Waikoloa Colony Villas is a convenient jumping off point for exploring the many activities and sites the Big Island has to offer.
Built in September 2003, our air-conditioned villa is a 2 bedroom 2 1/2 baths, very quiet, and private with unobstructed views of the golf course, volcanoes and lush tropical landscaping resplendent with swaying palm trees. With soaring vaulted ceilings the villa is a spacious 1600 square feet in size with 2 furnished private lanai's. We are very close to one of the complex's beautiful swimming pools with lava rock waterfall and jacuzzi, air-conditioned fitness center and tennis courts.
Our villa is decorated with elegant new upscale furnishings with a calming tropical ambiance. It has the privacy and feel of an upscale individual home with all new luxury furnishings, slab granite counters, air conditioning and all the amenities you would expect in a luxury town home. This impeccably maintained villa is our second home and we have taken great care to provide upscale accommodations and superb amenities for our guests. The kitchen is equipped with all upscale dishes, cookware, glassware, barware, utensils, serving dishes and everything you would expect in a luxury kitchen.
The downstairs main level features 19' vaulted ceilings and floor to ceiling windows creating a tropical retreat. You'll find a large elegantly decorated living room, with a new queen sleeper sofa, kitchen, and dining room on this level. The living room has a new large LCD HDTV, Dvd Player, Stereo with I-POD, Smart Phone docking station, and CD/Stereo and overlooks the King's Golf Course and Volcano views. The dining room opens onto a large tropical furnished lanai for enjoying a leisurely cup of Kona coffee, tasty meals or an afternoon cocktail.
There are two bedrooms upstairs both with new King beds, designer furniture and TV/DVD players in each private bedroom. Each bedroom has it own bathroom and there is a 1/2 bath downstairs. Off the Master there is a large private lanai overlooking the golf course and mountains. A perfect place to relax on one of the chaise lounges and soak in the view.
The unit is perfect for couples seeking a romantic getaway or for families. We even have a Pack and Play portable crib for families with small children. We even provide beach chairs, coolers and beach towels for your explorations at the many nearby world class beaches. Our guests can also enjoy discounted rates at the King's Golf Course. Boogie Boards & snorkeling gear and tennis racquets are all here for your use!
About a 10-15 minute walk to takes you to Waikoloa Beach or "A" Bay, a safe swimming beach lined with palm trees. Just a few minute drive north brings you to the world famous Hapuna Beach, Mauna Kea Beach, and several others to explore. Hapuna is great for boogie boarding.
We have owned a second home on the Big Island for the last 9 years and have been coming to the Big Island for over 22 years. Why the Owner Chose Waikoloa Colony Villas
We've been vacationing on the Big Island since the mid 1980's and bought our first property in 1999 in the Kona area. We found ourselves driving every day to the Kohala coast to enjoy the Big Islands best beaches and decided to relocate to this area. We looked at properties in virtually every complex in the Kohala coast before deciding to purchase our unit in Waikoloa Colony Villas. We wanted a quality built home, meticously maintained and landscaped grounds, beautiful recreation areas in a quiet and not densely populated area yet close to the best beaches and golfing. We literally toured well over over 100 homes before finding the perfect location meeting all the amenities on our list. We loved the feel you were in a house with soaring ceilings rather than an apartment with neighbors above and below you. We loved the total privacy from every room - just beautiful scenery to enjoy yet so conveniently located. We loved this larger 2 bedroom floorplan as it offers much more room and privacy and larger lanai's then the smaller 2 bedroom end units. Many of those that we looked at we're directly facing another building.
The property itself is so well maintained and beautifully landscaped.

This is a great condo. Very private as it is on a corner. It is quiet and clean. In a gated community so we felt very safe. It has everything you need to make your stay on the big island comfortable! The owners are extremely nice people and we definitely would stay there again!

This is our 5th time to the Big Island in 10 years, and our third in Waikoloa, and we've agreed that this is, without a doubt, the most private, secluded, relaxing location that we've found. We spent two weeks at this condo and could have easily spent two years there. What a beautiful home, completely stocked with everything you could possibly need: kitchenware, beach gear, laundry. Don't look for an end unit in Colony. The way that the buildings are structured, it's actually the two middle units that are best positioned (end units overlook other buildings). The two large decks of this condo -- outdoor dining downstairs, two lounge chairs upstairs -- look out on the Kings Trail and golf course, which means that you see very few people from either deck. At night, it's so dark that you can stargaze and see things that you couldn't dream of spotting on the mainland. We've never had such a secluded, private feeling at a condo before. Funny story: while at the Queen's Marketplace, I overheard two condo owners complaining about their guests: "They whine that there aren't wine glasses or sushi dishes. As if I'm supposed to cater to their every whim!" The other owner agreed. Marilyn will never get those sorts of complaints. The kitchen has every amenity imaginable, from crock pots and rice cookers to sushi dishes and wine glasses. The beach closet has coolers, chairs, umbrellas, snorkels and boogie boards. I can't think of anything that we could have possibly needed that wasn't there. This condo has all of the comforts of home and more! Bottom line: I'd recommend this condo in a heartbeat, and can't wait to come back. We also discovered a great, free activity this time around. At the Mauna Lani, they have a Thursday night free hula/luau show that has tons more fire twirling than the expensive luau (the one thing that the kiddo actually wants to see). It's definitely something to see. Have a great trip!

You have a beautiful home and we enjoyed it immensely. It is so comfortable and quiet with all the "creature comforts" we could wish for. We snorkeled at Captain Cooks Bay, 2-Step and A-Bay. We really enjoyed staying in your beautiful home. So comfortable, beautifully furnished and convenient to our favorite beaches in north Kohala. This is the first time we stayed in Waikoloa Beach area and loved it. We made good use of your beach chairs and umbrella at 69 beach, 49 Black Sands, Mau'u Mae and Kukio. My wife and I stayed in the Villa for about 9 days and two friends joined us for about 7 of the days. The location was great, beautiful spot, and of course it's Hawaii! But best of all we felt like we had all the luxuries of being at home. Very comfortable and completely furnished. The owner was very accomodating and everything was very organized. The place is nicer than the photos show and the pool, tennis court and other nearby accomodations were great. Lots to do in the area. I highly recommend this place.
