Large, comfortable, air conditioned beach house in perfect location or the best family vacation at the Jersey Shore. Rated as one of the best beaches in the country, Long Beach Island offers the picture book setting for the prefect family summer get-away.
Our house is situated just steps from a beautiful beach that is cleaned and manicured each summer morning. The semi-private beach at the end of our driveway, which is shared with two other houses, you find yourself on a panoramic beach that is lifeguarded during the summer months. With very limited access to the public, our beach is never crowded and being so close to our house, you can leave all your beach equipment out all day without worry.
Like many of the beach houses in the area, our house is reverse living, where the kitchen, dining room and living areas are on the second floor along with three bedrooms and two full baths. The large living room has a fireplace and woodburning stove, full entertainment center, ample seating, and also a nice view of the bay which is across the street. The adjacent dining room has a full-size table with room for eight. Our galley kitchen is fully-equipped with full-size electric stove, large refrigerator, and dishwasher. All cooking utensils and appliances are included.
Through the sliding doors off the dining room, a very large deck offers plenty of space for outdoor barbecuing and has a swing out canopy for shade. The upper deck at roof level gives a wonderful view of the ocean and a private area to lounge.
The first level contains a den with entertainment center, sofas, and pull-out bed plus three more bedrooms and a full bath and laundry. The house can comfortably accommodate up to 12 people in beds and is the maximum we accept. There is an outside shower and large changing room. You will find a large supply of beach toys for the kids to enjoy.
The North Beach section of Long Beach Island is an upscale beach community that is residential and quiet yet extremely convenient to all shopping and entertainment. Biking, walking, and jogging are a very popular activity on the island. Surf fishing directly on our beach is popular and bay and ocean fishing is all around the island by charter boats or rent your own at the marinas. A beautiful park is within walking distance that has a playground, basketball, tennis, horseshoe and bocce courts, a full baseball field, is great for kayak launching and windsurfing.
Traveling north on the island you will come to the fishing fleet village, the Barnegat Inlet and 'Old Barney' our beautiful lighthouse where you can climb to the top for a breathtaking view.
Traveling south from the house, you have most of the restaurants and clubs, miniature golf courses, and a great, small family amusement part, Fantasy Island, very clean and safe with a terrific water slide and ferris wheel.
On the mainland and only a few miles away there are new shopping centers with all the major stores and a large multi-screen movie theater.
