My family just spent a wonderful month-long vacation in this condo. It was, in all respects our best experience we have ever had in renting properties for a month period. Here is why: first and most importanta, dealing with Matt Schwartz is a real pleasure. Super responsive, making everything easy for the stay, extremely accurate description of the condo, the contract, the terms, etc. Secondly, the condo is furnished in what we considered above average quality based on other rental experience at the Crescent Beach Club. While all properties at CBC are very, very nice, this condo is so far the best we have rented. Lastly, the CBC is a great location. Being on the beach, with pool, spa, gym, tennis, grills on site makes it very accomodating and fun. It runs very smoothly and the club management (especially the club's secretary) are very responsive and helpful. For example, my wife had a bad case of sinus and the secretary of the club directed us to the best/fastest/most practical medical attention in the area. I would recommend this property especially to families. A great opportunity to share together. Staying at this property were my wife, in-laws and youngest son (age 11). they all had fun and loved it.

Great Place, Great Views, Excellent Rental

When we go on vacation we like to have fun and relax. This condo provides both. A Big Plus is this condo has 3 balconies and has direct ocean and intercostal views.. We stayed for a week and, on any given day, there were only about 6-7 couples on the beach and maybe 2-3 people by the pool. VERY RELAXING!!!! About 3 mins from the condo is the main strip of Clearwater beach. So you can go and enjoy yourself then head back to a relaxing and peaceful evening. Personally, I don't want to leave another great review as I'm a bit selfish and want to keep this amazing gem hidden. However, the owner is an excellent guy with great communication so I'm posting. Also, the photos don't do the condo justice. They do represent the quality of the condo but don't really show how spacious the condo is. When you walk in you simply feel one thing, this is going to be a good vacation!

Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

Great rental property, great location

My wife, three daughters (in their 20s), and I were looking to get together for a relaxing, beach resort type of vacation. It had been several years since we had done this, so we were really looking forward to it. After considering various islands and continental U.S. locations, I came across this rental. What stood out, besides the property description and location, were the excellent reviews that had been posted by previous renters. We have friends who own a few buildings down the beach so we were familiar with the area. So we decided to give this a shot and rented it during the last two weeks of June. Matt was very easy to work with. He is very organized and responsive; as a result, the rental agreement and payment processes were relatively painless. We found the condo to be pretty much as advertised in the VRBO listing. It is very clean, modern, and roomy. The master bedroom in particular is very spacious based upon our prior experience with beach condos. The living room was pleasant and comfortable. Since there was five of us during the first week, we took turns sleeping on the couch in the living room. We actually found that sleeping on the couch itself gave us a better night's sleep than the pull out mattress. The couch is that big and comfortable! The CBC has everything we needed--pool, hot tub, fitness facility, gas grills, etc. The beach itself is the most expansive along this stretch of Sand Key. It's so deep that it felt like we were crossing the Mojave in getting from the pool to the ocean. The pool area and the beach rarely had more than a few couples or families on it. Granted, we were staying during the low season, but nevertheless I'm sure that the pool and especially the beach never have that crowded feeling. It feels very private and relaxing. As for restaurants, we would recommend Cesare's (Italian) and the Island Way (seafood) in Clearwater Beach, Columbia (Spanish/Cuban) a 1/4 mile down the street from the CBC, and Amici (Italian/pizzeria) in Largo. And if you need a chain restaurant fix, there's always the Bonefish in Belleair Bluffs. All are a short ride from the condo. I'd also recommend the Surf and Turf Market in Belleair Bluffs if you want to grill steaks or seafood back at the condo. One other recommendation if you need a break from the beach--consider renting bikes and riding the Pinellas Trail. Rent the bikes in Dunedin and ride north to Tarpon Springs and back. When you get back, have lunch at the Dunedin Brewery.

Great Condo, Quiet beach

My family loved the condo, very clean, very spacious, all the comforts of home. It has everything you could possibly need, I forgot to pack my toddlers potty seat and lo and behold there was one there. We enjoyed the restaurants right across the street and the trolley stop right outside the complex. The CBC was full of amenities and well taken care of, lots for my teenager to do on a rainy day. The beach was very quiet when we were there in early June. Very pleasant contact with owner. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Roomy, Kid Friendly, New Kitchen, Awesome View!

The photos do not do the listing justice. It is much bigger in person. Nicely decorated. Plenty of eating areas inside and outside on the balcony. There is a table with 6 chairs, and bar type counter with 2 bar stool type chairs with backs, and then a breakfast nook table with 2 chairs all inside. There is a booster seat in the second bedroom closet for use as well. There are 4 chairs and a table outside on the balcony along with other lounge chairs. The other balconies have chairs as well. Each bedroom has it's own balcony and the breakfast nook has a balcony. No need to bring beach toys. There are tons of nice beach toys in the second bedroom closet. There is also 2 pack n plays in that closet as well. There is a stroller in there but we didn't use it. There is a toy box full of toys for the kids. There is a dvd player in the unit with a small selection of dvds for use. The kitchen is brand new with granite countertops. There are new appliances including a dishwasher, stove/oven, fridge with icemaker, Mr. Coffee coffee pot, 2 microwaves,and a toaster oven. There is a trash chute on the same floor as unit which is convenient. The swimming pool is really nice and there is a shower close to it if you use the beach to wash off the sand. Communicating with the owner has been great. Sand Key is my favorite beach. Beautiful white sand. Doesn't get too hot so you can walk barefoot. Lots of shells! Not busy, more private. Beautiful birds. Just down the street from Sand Key Park-Extremely Beautiful! Also, across the street from an excellent restaurant-Columbia Restaurant.

Before we left we re-confirmed for next year! We can't indicate any more clearly how much we enjoyed our vacation. Well...we could point out a few things: Tile floors & no pets are a hygienic plus for a rental unit...the unit is clean & well-maintained...the views of the Intra-coastal and the Gulf are fantastic from ALL windows...with balconies front & back the flow thru ventilation is great...never used the A/C...no lack of good restaurants nearby...no lack of activities on site & nearby...a quiet beach away from the hustle/bustle of Clearwater Beach...but close enough to walk there...the 6th floor is just the right height to see both the beach and the Gulf while sitting...a 1st class condo building...we plan to be back!

Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Baseball and the Beach

My husband and I stayed in this lovely condo unit for the 1st time this past March. We have stayed in other buildings in Sand Key previously and none have come close to this experience. The condo was recently upgraded, great kitchen, nicely equipped (I cook) . The furnishings are very comfortable, great couches in the living area, and there is an open bright environment, lots of light and a fabulous view of the gulf as well as the bay. The building is maintained at the highest level, always someone cleaning or painting, etc. There is a great pool and barbeque area and my husband was so happy to have the gym to work out in. We are going back again next March for Baseball and the Beach and hope to continue to do that in the years to come.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Our condo at Crescent Beach on the 6th floor was spectacular, especially the ocean and intracoastal views from both ends of the unit. The unit was spacious and recently updated with a new kitchen which opened up the existing floor plan. The entire site is well maintained and very safe. Sand Key is a quiet area, a complement to the more active Clearwater Beach area so one can choose depending upon the activity one desires. Try it, you'll like it!

Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.

Beautiful condo and beach

Our adult family vacationed here at Christmas this year and had a wonderful and reslaxing time. After staying there less than a year ago we were pleasantly surprised by the remodeling the owner had done. The new kitchen and bathroom were beautiful and everything was spotless! There was plenty of room for all five of us and all the comforts of home were right there. There are many restaurants and shops nearby but we liked the quietness and less hectic area of Sand Key. We enjoyed the Columbia and Backwaters restaurants right across the street from Crescent Beach Club (we could walk there). Also, the Clear Sky Beachside Cafe in Clearwater Beach was our favorite place to go for breakfast. The owner was easy to work with and we hope to stay there again for our next family vacation.

What a great vacation getaway! The Crescent Beach Club property was immaculate and the location was perfect. It's located on the best section of Sand Key Beach. The condo itself was very spacious and well accomodating. The owner was great to work with. We would definitely stay in this condo again! We had an amazing time!

Matt's condo is wonderful with beautiful views from both bedrooms and living room. The condo was very clean and the property was well maintained. The beach is large and there were beach chairs, towels, umbrellas for us to use. There are some shops and restaurants within walking distance and lots of things to do just a few miles away in Clearwater Beach. I would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a relaxing vacation at the beach.

Spacious condo!!! We had a fabulous time, are hoping to return this year again! The place was clean and comfortable. Very spacious balcony with an incredible view! This was a special vacation for our family...it felt like home! I agree with the other reviews that the renter was amazing to work with! He was quick, friendly and very helpful.

My family ( wife, son, daughter-in-law and grand daughter ) stayed here in April of 2011. We were very impressed with the cleanliness, size, amenities and great location of this condo. The description was exact and the owner was most accomodating and helpful. This condo has a balcony on the ocean ( over looking the pool ) where we ate all our breakfasts. The Crescent Beach Club is in a super location near restaurants, Clearwater Beach ( a little over a 1 mile walk to Clearwater Beach ) and a small mall across the street. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a safe, fun-filled vacation to sunny Florida.

My wife and I spent a month at this condo in Spring 2011. It is a very spacious, clean and well appointed condo in an absolutely beautiful setting....on the Gulf. The condo building is well managed and clean, with very nice pool and hot tub facilities right on the beach,.The condo is kid friendly with plenty of room to play. Matt is a very accommodating owner and made us feel quite welcome. We hope to rent it again very soon!

Matt's condo was well-equipped, spacious and extremely comfortable. The location was ideal with the beach steps away and restaurants and attractions all easily accessible. Above all, the condo afforded beautiful views of both the Gulf and the Inter-coastal waterway. With BOTH front and rear balconies in the condo, you could choose sun & warmth or shade & cool ! We had a wonderful stay and plan to return. P.S. Matt, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with.

Great condo in a superior location, but the real surprise was the condo owner. The owner actually responds to inquiries in a timely manner, highly unlike other owners on VRBO. We were able to lock-in our vacation plans within a very short period of time. This eliminates the stress out of vacation planning. The condo is as-advertised and very roomy, directly on the beach. The owner made the rental easy; great communication, great follow-through & our deposit was refunded promptly.

For 4 years in a row, Mike vacationed with his wife and two kids in our condo. They loved the easy beach access and all the toys, chairs and even towels available for use. When I follow up now, he says those were some of the best trips they ever took. And, this was BEFORE the renovations so he says he'll keep trying to convince his in-laws they need to return to wonderful Sand Key!
