Spend your vacation in my wonderful home with its spectacular views of ocean, bay and wildlife sanctuary, plus sunrise and sunset. You will savor the memories you make at this beautiful spot!
Four bedroom, 2-1/2 baths, spacious, private and comfortable house. 2-story light-filled easy-maintenance home. Four multi-level decks, fabulous hot and cold outdoor shower and h/c sink. Multiple entrances, sliding doors to decks/screen porch from all rooms.

Upper floor has a 30-foot open plan living/dining/kitchen with miles of great views in all directions plus a full bath. Cooks will love this well-equipped kitchen. White walls and hardwood floors on both floors . Four bedrooms that each sleep two plus a bath with a washer/dryer on lower floor. Bedrooms have sliders to decks/porch, lots of light and good storage. Large, comfortable, screened porch for lounging and romantic candlelight dinners on lower floor. Cross ventilation throughout the entire house.

Quiet, friendly small community 90 minutes from New York City, 15 yards to beautiful, uncrowded, sandy beach. . No cars allowed on the island. 25 minute ferry ride from Southern Long Island. 1 hour, 10 minute train ride or private van to ferry from NYC. Ideal for two families or four couples. Beds: Bedroom#1 and #2: queens; Bedroom #3, king or twins; bedroom #4, queen or twins.

Well equipped kitchen with new appliances. Two door refrigerator/freezer with filtered ice and water through door, smooth cooktop, large oven, KitchenAid mixer, Braun coffee mill, Krups Duotek coffee maker, blender, food processor, salad shooter, toaster, microwave, excellent cookware in every size, dinnerware and glassware,
TV (for DVD, CD) and radio available, charcoal BBQ, etc.

Living room furnished in wicker with overstuffed cushions for comfortable seating on lounges. Dine on original Saarinen Tulip table and 8 chairs. Fresh mattresses; all bed and bath linens provided. Beach chairs and umbrellas, too.

Shower under the sun/stars in large, protected hot/cold outdoor shower. It easy to find a deck that’s the perfect place to follow the sun. White walls and light hardwood floors throughout, with open common rooms-living, dining, kitchen with full views. Upper and lower floors have full baths. Four large bedrooms on lower floor. Two with queen beds; two with twins that can be combined or separated into king and queen.

  • My mother and I rented this house for 2 weeks in September and had a fantastic and restorative vacation. The setting is truly spectacular. We fell asleep each night to the sound of waves and woke up each morning to the brilliant sunshine from the porch. The house is very well designed, modern yet comfortable. The owner has thought of everything, including a fully equipped kitchen, bikes and boogy boards! It was the perfect house to host family and friends from the city on the weekends. Everyone had a bang-up time! This property comes highly recommended.

  • A relocated East Coaster, my favorite summers have always been on Fire Island. Having rented houses for everything from one-week stays to summer-long respites, we have experienced Fire Island at its best -- and this was at its best. It takes a lot for a now comfortable Californian to move from a perfect climate and idyllic beaches to the East Coast but with great and lifelong friends still on the East Coast, we look for opportunities to bring our families together and leave life behind for a week or so. When we gave our teenage girls the choice of the Mayan Riviera or Fire Island for our vacation, the decision was unanimous -- Fire Island. And there was no better place than the Frankel house. Perfect views; safe for kids of all ages; no crowds; gorgeous sunsets and sunrises; plenty of places to hide for an hour or two; comfortable without pretense....Just thinking about it makes us want to go right back...

  • Great house. The view from the deck is phenomenal - our days revolved around getting dinner ready 15 minutes before sunset - and they were all spectacular. The house is a full 15 minute walk from the ferry, but this means the beach (50 feet from the house) is practically deserted. The outdoor shower is sublime - and the whole experience truly, truly, relaxing. We had a great time.

  • Thank you for the wonderful house by the ocean. The views were spectacular - we saw deer every night and had several amazing sunsets. Being so close to the ocean was great with our small children - easy to go home for naps and head right back out to the beach afterwards. The kitchen was very nicely equipped. All in all we had a truly wonderful, relaxing time and hope to be back soon.

  • Dear Ellen, We had a great time at your house. Actually, a great time isn't really the right way to describe it. It was idyllic. It was exactly the kind of experience I always imagined for the kids--the freedom to run around and explore without visible parental interference. They made sand castles; they had water fights; they collected shells; they painted shells; they rode back and forth to the bay. They exhausted themselves in the surf. It was beyond my greatest expectations. How often in life does that happen? Unfortunately, I'm already back into the very busy fall schedule and Robbins Rest is just a beautiful memory.   • This house is amazing. It's peaceful and calm and very relaxing. The views are breath-taking and the best part is the beach is your backyard. Even when the weather isn't great there's plenty to do; relaxing, playing board games, and listening to music. There was never a dull moment. We will definitely be back!!

  • Great getaway spot with incredible wraparound ocean and bay views.Sense of privacy since home is adjacent to a nature preserve. Clean and simple; new appliances; nice size bedrooms all with sliders to decks/porch.20 steps max to the ocean beach. Will be back!
