This villa has been totally remodeled - new tile, carpet, kitchen cabinets and counter tops, eat in bar/buffet, appliances, as well as furnishings! October 2010, a walk-in tile shower and Brazilian granite vanity were installed & December 2010, new efficient Trane HVAC system was installed. Our guests consistently note that the unit is the most tastefully appointed, casually elegant villa they've enjoyed. It is a corner, all-on-one level, 2nd floor, front of the complex, Beachwalk villa - offering the most privacy available. This beautiful 1BR/2 full bath villa offers unsurpassed quality and value. It has a prime location: Shipyard Plantation, one of the prettiest parts of the island nestled between Palmetto Dunes and Sea Pines. Shipyard offers the amenities of the Crowne Plaza Resort, the Van der Meer Tennis Center, as well as 27 holes of golf.
Beachwalk Villas have the best and quickest beach access of any condo complex in Shipyard. And this villa is within a 3-minute walk to the Shipyard Beach Club and to the Atlantic Ocean. It is across the street from the Crowne Plaza Resort & the Van der Meer Tennis Center (free one-hour of tennis daily included with rental). Moreover, Shipyard has two gated entrances providing quick access to everything on island.
The great room, dining room, and kitchen are open which affords unobstructed views making this already large unit even more airy, light, and friendly. The designer kitchen has a wrap-around bar for your eating pleasure and socializing ease. The great room has a fireplace, a new 1080p flat screen LCD TV, a DVD player, and a large queen sleeper sofa. The dining room overlooks the lagoon. The bedroom offers a king-size bed, a private bath, a new flat screen TV and DVD/CD player, and two closets. The unit also has a second full bath. Guests have wireless Internet access throughout the villa (and on the deck); long distance calls are free!
Outside, a large private, new wrap-around deck provides views of the lagoon, wildlife, trees, and a glimpse of the golf course and tennis courts, all creating a tranquil setting. The villa is well stocked with books and caters to various reading tastes. Beachwalk has a large, sunny private pool and deck area. Golf, tennis, bike paths, a pool, and the beach are all within view or nearby, making this an ideal villa from every standpoint. Why the Owner Chose Beach Walk
HHI has it all - great golf courses and tennis courts, and numerous casual to casually elegant restaurants. Shipyard Plantation is smaller than most other island plantations, and it has a very friendly feel. Yet, it affords a gated community with two convenient gates for access to and from different points on island. Further, Shipyard offers world class tennis at the Van der Meer Tennis Center (where we have membership for guests' use), and golf at Shipyard Golf Club. And, if guests choose, they can dine and/or party at the Crowne Plaza, located within a two minute walk from the unit.
Just like HHI, Shipyard Plantation has a web of super biking, walking, running and skating paths. At times we come here and do it all; at other times, we do almost nothing at all!
One of the prime reasons we keep coming back to HHI and bought this Beachwalk unit is because we love a great beach to enjoy every month of the year. Without a doubt, the beaches on HHI are among the widest, cleanest and best on the East Coast! Within about 3 minutes from leaving our villa door, we are on the beach. Yes, life is really good on HHI and in our Beachwalk villa.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa
Our Beachwalk villa has the prime location - our unit is within a 3 minute walk to the beach & a couple of minutes walk to Van der Meer Tennis Center where guest enjoy our membership with free tennis. It is a second floor, corner unit located at the front of the complex - closest to the beach, tennis & the Crowne Plaza. We have a very large, new wrap-around deck that overlooks the lagoon. It is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy your morning coffee and afternoon beverages and watch the turtles, water fowl - and, yes, maybe a gator.
When you book through us, we send you introductory information prior to your arrival. You have us to communicate with, ask questions, and to assist you as needed. You also have our management company to assist you and to tend your needs prior to your arrival and 24-hours a day during your stay.
By chance, in the summertime, if you don't want to make the short walk to the beach or if you have a heavy, filled cooler - just a few steps away from the villa Shipyard offers a shuttle service to and from the beach.
As mentioned, we refurbished this unit and decorated it in a manner that we would want if we lived here full time. Over and over, guests comment that they highly appreciate the tasteful appointments in the unit. We are fortunate to have numerous repeat guests who, like us, have come to think of our unit as theirs on HHI.

We have been coming to HHI for many years and love many parts. But we are especially fond of Shipyard Plantation and Beachwalk Villas. Because of the ideal location, we may retire to this unit. Therefore, we decorated the villa like we like to live. We are pleased to extend our villa to guests who respect and appreciate the opportunity to stay in our home away from home.

We stayed in this Beachwalk condo over spring break - excellent location and beautiful accommodations. The condo is comfortable and very well furnished. Everything we needed or wanted. We will gladly return - as soon as possible!

We stayed in this Beachwalk Villa at the beginning of August. It was very inviting from the moment we entered and was even more beautiful than the photos. We enjoyed its comfort and warmth. It's a spacious, corner, upstairs villa, so it sports a larger, wrap deck in a setting of towering trees and a lagoon. On the second day, our daughter spotted an alligator swimming in the lagoon. We loved that this villa was such a short walk to the spectacular beach. Last but not least, it was easy to set up our stay with both the friendly owners and the reputable management company.

The check-in and reservation process was convenient and highly organized. The home was beautifully furnished. Having two full bathrooms was wonderful as well as a new and modern kitchen. With a three minute walk to the beach and a lagoon view (where we saw an alligator) I would highly recommend this property. There are plenty of activities and dining experiences in the area. I look forward to returning soon.

We so enjoyed our time in this lovely condo (or "combo" as our 5 year old called it). It was beautifully furnished, but extremely comfortable. The large master provided ample room for a full-sized Aero bed for our daughter. We loved watching the turtles in the lagoon. We were thrilled with the location as we were so close to both the pool and the beach. Although the beach is a short walk, we drove due to the amount of items we had (boogie board, sand toys, umbrella, chairs, cooler, etc...). We've already talked about going back in 2010!

Thanks so much for the use of your condo. The furnishings and proximity to the ocean and pool really sets it apart from the others. We really appreciated the attention to the small things as well(which saved me several trips to the local grocery). Also wanted to thank you/the rental company for the extra effort to mail the flash drive I left at your condo. We had a great time and would definitely love to return.

As usual, we were delighted on entering your villa. This is our third stay since you have owned it. How perfectly you have furnished it! Not overcrowded, yet very comfortable. Appreciated the new TVs. Wee had a slight problem playing DVDs...resolved it near the end of our stay. We cannot think of anything you have not thought of, or provided for your guest. We were anticipating much poorer weather, but were delightfully surprised that each day was perfect "beach" weather. Tried Aunt Chilada's and enjoyed it. All other things being equal, we hope to be your guests in 2010.

This is our 3rd stay here. We absolutely love this condo and it's a perfect location. We once again had a great time discovering new restaurants: loved Wiseguys for something unique and different. The beach was great and we enjoyed many walks on the beach and throughout Shipyard. We'll definitely be returning. Thank you for providing such amazing accommodations for our stay.,
