Why the Owner Chose River Run, River Bank Lodge
Keystone is my favorite ski place with great long runs and a fondue rest. on top!
I've skied Europe, Aspen, Vail, Copper-Tahoe-just about every ski area there is but to me Keystone is the best.
I used to ski there as an Army Officer stationed at Ft Carson and then went back every year. Finally, I bought the condo because it had such incredible views of the water and Mountains.
You can use the same Keystone lift tkt for 4 resorts (A-basen-open till may or june) Breckenridge-cute town, Vail and Keystone. For $400 you can get a season pass (early in the year) that pays for itself in a week.
There are almost no lift lines, incredible natural beauty and lots of long runs for every skier's ability-from green to heleskiers. The Outback has wide runs-many that have bumps on the right and groomed on the left so I can ski the same runs as my friends who love bumps without having to do them myself. Plus there is a spa, shopping and restaurants for those that don't ski and great summer festivals for year round fun.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
My unit has the best view in Keystone--water and ducks and mountains, yet you go out the front door and have all the amenities of river run. My condo also has more character than the typical hotel looking condo. It is artistic and has been remodeled so it's the best 1BR unit in Riverbank lodge. It has a lodge feel with a log bed, a romantic hot tub for 2, granite sink in bath, concrete counters, copper sink in kitchen and the 1/2 bath has been painted to look like a little outhouse with metal ceiling, painted vines and moon and other rustic touches. You'll defn feel right at home and cozy and will love being such a short walk to the lifts.

A lovely and romantic apartment

We stayed in this lovely and romantic apartment in September 2010. When we entered the view of the mountains from the living room was stunning. It is a perfect place for hiking and skiing. Off course there was no snow, so we hiked. The whirlpool tub with a overwhelming view on the mountains was fantastic after a long hike.?? There was ample parking place. ?The apartment is large for two with ample storage space for all the luggage. There is plenty of drawers and enough hanging space. We found it very clean. It was very quiet and the cold, clean air made us sleep very well.? It has an atmosphere that is in perfect harmony with the surrounding area. We loved the painted fir tree limbs on the wall. The bedroom looks just like a room in a log cabin. The toilet is modern but the decoration makes it look like an outhouse. But what can one expect from the author of a book about faux painting? It is very special. But don’t be misled. This apartment has all the modern facilities that make a stay here very comfortable. It has a ‘double’ kitchen. One area to cook and another to prepare bread, coffee or tea. It even has two(!) refrigerators. It is very close (walking distance) to the centre of the town. The ski lift brought us all the way up the mountain where we enjoyed the magnificent views. One ticket is good for a whole day so we also went when it got dark to see the sun go under and to enjoy the lights of the town. There is so much to see and do in this area. Breckenridge was a favourite and there we found several very fine places to dine. During one of our hikes we stood eye to eye with a moose bull. Exciting! There also was the opportunity to swim in the pool, but we preferred our own whirlpool. Will we come back? If we would not live in Holland (Europe) the answer would be a very positive YES.

We came here to take advantage of the great skiing still happening at A-Basin in May! The only problem with this condo is that it is so wonderful, we don't want to leave it to ski. When we are skiing, we want to quit early to go back to the condo. The whole living room wall is windows with so many incredible views of the pond and mountain. No need to watch TV. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The jacuzzi with the jets is incredible. Lovely gas fireplace comes on with the turn of a dial. Very clean, well equipped and QUIET. It is far from the main highway. Lots of fun and upgraded extra decorating touches add so much to the whole mountain getaway experience. Hope to return soon!

What an awesome condo--we skied here last year and I swore I'd come back in the spring--if it's possible it is even better than winrter--the ducks, the trout, the hiking-the golf. Let me know if you ever want to sell it. Non of the others have your view.

Was surprised to find a safe in the closet and other amenities of top hotels yet the feel of a rustic lodge. We stayed in Dacota Lodge last year and it was more like a hotel decor with no view. This view is incredible--I caN WATCH THE SKIERS COME DOWN FROM THE SOFA
