This architecturally interesting home of cedar wood and glass sits beside Bear Creek with beautiful views of the trees and mountains. Built for two families to share, it has two master bedrooms on the second floor (each with queen bed). Both have a private bath which connects to the sauna/jacuzzi room. On the main floor are the other two bedrooms. One bedroom has twin beds, the other has four bunks. They share a compartmentalized bath.
Also on the main floor, the kitchen-dining area is large and convenient, with hardwood floors and fully-equipped. The sunken living room is open and accommodating with a large semi-circular seating area, fireplace and TV/DVD. The entire living-dining area is an open two story design with wood beams and open flow patterns. Furnishings are traditionally styled with attention to detail and seasonally decorated. It is very much a warm family atmosphere. The entry has a boot on/off area and a ski storage room. There is a third-story loft retreat with its own TV/VCR player. This hideaway is a favorite for board games, reading, and video watching.
In summer, the creekside location and large deck make for great outdoor dining. Guests have access to the local pond, 2 tennis courts and picnic/lawn area.
The home is very accessible in snowy weather. It is on the main plow route and is also served by the Alpine Meadows ski shuttle. There is ample driveway parking with plow service provided. Sledding and snow play area is just across the street.
