Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2003
This is a photo of us (Rex and Carla, and our 3 grown children) enjoying the beautiful beach in front of our duplex. We live & work in Eugene, and love to escape to our home in Bandon. It's a wonderful feeling to have guests come and enjoy it as much as we do. It's great to reconnect with family and friends there with the relaxing ocean view. A couple of years later we bought an old ranch south of town and created Bandon Crossings Golf Course, a beautiful and challenging course, more reasonably priced than the nearby resort. It's been a huge job, but at least it gives us another reason to come to Bandon.
Why the Owner Chose Bandon
As a golf addict, Rex had been to Bandon to experience Bandon Dunes golf, and we took our first trip there together in 2001, resulting in the purchase of this oceanfront lot. We had the duplex built, and love to go there to relax. Bandon has possibly the most picturesque beach in the world, and it's still quiet and unspoiled. It's never crowded and a real getaway. And for golfer's, it's a real paradise. Bandon Dunes Resort has 4 top ranked golf courses (walking only), and Bandon Crossings boasts "18 Unique Experiences"; no two holes are alike, and carts are available as an option. Now we can golf as much as we want. There's even the Old Bandon 9 hole course that also welcomes families.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
The View. After all, that's what it's All About. (and of course, long walks on the beach and the golf courses).

My husband and I along with some friends stayed 4 nights in this beautiful duplex in June 2009. The house sits on the cliffs and the view is incredible. There are stairs and paths that go directly down to a wonderful beach that you can walk on for miles. We saw whales, seals, eagles, and lots of baby deer. The golf was fantastic and staying in the house allowed all of us to spend time together that we couldn't have done in a hotel. The owner was so very nice and helpful. We will definately be returning.
Owner response:It is so gratifying when our guests have a wonderful time... that's what it's REALLY all about. The animals are always interesting, along with walks on the beach. And there is great golf in the area, at Bandon Crossings (with or without a cart), Bandon Dunes resort, and the smaller family-friendly Old Bandon Course. Carla

My Husband and I had the wonderful opportunity to stay in this lovely Bandon beach house for 3 nights in mid May 2011. It was our first trip to Oregon, we spent 2 weeks traveling through Portland, Eugene, Bandon and north up the Oregon Coast. Bandon was one of our favorite stops not only because of the magnificently rugged beaches, wildlife including fantastic birds, but also in large part to the nice accommodations at "It's All About the Views". The home was both upscale and comfortable and was located in the perfect spot. We walked miles and miles of beach, cooked wonderful meals in the very nice kitchen and enjoyed spectacular sunsets from the condo. It was peaceful, romantic and completely enjoyable. We hope to visit again in the near future! Carla was absolutely great to work with, she communicated quickly to all of our questions and offered many suggestions about Bandon and our commute to this home from Eugene. Thank you Carla for all your attention to detail that made our stay in your home so memorable!
Owner response:Thanks! Glad you had a chance to enjoy Bandon!

Spent 7 days in this great property the end of May. Although the weather was not perfect this unit was. Was a beautiful view even in the rain. Can see the waves crashing against the rocks from the kitchen, dining area, & great room. Was a very nice experience. The only concern I would express for others is the living area is on the second floor and if you are or have friends that are older (80's etc) it can be difficult to climb the stairs on a regular basis. We met friends from Colorado who were camping nearby and a couple of them has some issues with the stairs. Unit is well equiped and very comfortable. Would be wonderful for families or in our case "girls get away".
Owner response:Thanks! I usually try to warn people about the stairs when I hear there are guests who may have a hard time with them. We kept the main living area upstairs to take advantage of the views! Wish I could have done something about the weather....

We spent 4 days in Bandon in June 2010. The location was the best, with walking trails along the bluff and down to the gorgeous beach only a few steps away. I must have taken 500 pictures. There was plenty of room in the condo for everyone and it was very comfy for all. Carla was very easy to work with making all the arrangements and letting us know what we needed to do to secure our deposit. She let us know we could get golf discounts at Bandon Crossings too. We've told other couples about how great this place is and we know we will be back. Bandon is one of our most favorite beach towns and this condo set up works well for us.

My family of 2 adults and 3 kids, ages 11, 11 and 10, very much enjoyed staying at this property. It faces the beach, and is a short walk from the beach. The nearby beach is fantastic for adults and kids alike, with lots to explore. The view of the beach from the house is constantly changing, depending on the weather. The property is clean, tastefully decorated, with every convenience available, and feels very spacious and comfortable. Our family enjoyed that the master bedroom is upstairs, while the kids were able to hang out downstairs in their own bedrooms. We wish we would have stayed longer!
Owner response:We always love to hear when our guests have a great time!

We went out to Oregon to visit, and stay a couple of days on the coast. This house is ideal for a small family get together - in a gorgeous spot overlooking the ocean, on a quiet street, and close enough to walk to old town Bandon. The house is comfortable and very well furnished - everything we needed for our stay. The extra charges for cleaning, staying less than the published minimum stay and the security deposit were a little frustrating to me, but it wasn't too much of an inconvenience. All-in-all, a nice place to stay

I found this place by searching vacation homes from Bandon website just a week prior to our vacation, luckily, Carla responded me promptly with flexible schedule to arrange even within such a short notice. The location is just perfect, it is inside of Bandon State park, we did ride bikes around the community and walked to the beach and Oregon Islands of National Wildlife Refuge. We stayed in North unit for 2 nights and had a lot of fun there, all rooms can see ocean! At night, my husband and I still have to catch emails and are surprisingly found the wireless speed is super fast! (130Mb/s!). When we packed to leave at last day, my 6-yr-old did not want to leave ? Finally, I am really satisfied with service Carla provided, she always responded my emails timely with thorough info. Again, thanks Carla for offering this quality vacation home for our vacation in Bandon. Ying

We stayed at All About the View again in July 2008 in the North Unit this time. Once again we were delighted with the entire experience. The area is becoming so familiar to us which feels good. My husband was delighted that Rex & Carla had created Bandon Crossings golf course since we'd last been to Bandon in '06. He played a round or hit balls there almost daily. He was in Hog Heaven! We're happy to say we'll be back this summer once again. :)

Carla, My wife and I, and our children, wanted to thank you for a most memorable and fun vacation, while staying at your wonderful beach house. It was perfect! We wanted to stay longer, and it was hard to leave. We had so much fun. The weather was suspect at times, but it didn't matter, because we all had fun in the house playing games and being with each other. The accomodations and space was perfect. Corinne and I loved the master suite, and the walk in closet provided the perfect place for our 2 year old to sleep. The views from the point, just a short walk away were breathtaking. The location provided the perfect base of operations for our trips to the Redwoods and Wildlife Safari. The next time we stay we will have to spend more time on the actual beach there, which the kids and I did some. We would love to rent both units out sometime with the rest of our family. We loved old town Bandon and the Wildlife Park 7 mi down the highway from the house. Even your directions/map to the ER at South Coos came in handy, as our 8 yr old daughter got a little too close to one the live crabs we picked from Tony's Crab Shack for dinner. I'm happy to report they didn't even charge us, the MD said I did a great job of cleaning the wound, gave us some steri strips and said have a great vacation!! Her finger was fine and the crabs were delicious, according to Lily, the victim. And on Saturday night, as we were coming back up the coast line, a nasty storm was blowing, sheeting rain, powerful winds, dark, our van hugging the curves, driving slowly to stay on the road, the thought of the warm, comfortable beach house waiting for us, driving into the garage was like coming home. It was really just perfect. Thank you for the wonderful stay, and it really is all about the view. I got some great panoramic shots with my camera. We would love to come back soon. We can't wait. Thank you again. Sincerely, Jason and Corinne, Glenn, Lily, Maxwell, and Harrison

My family stayed at the property last July '06 & it was even better than all of the pictures! We loved Bandon. My husband played every golf course while we were there & enjoyed the freshest catches from the seafood store down the road. Carla made our trip planning so easy. We want to come back!
