The Lodges Luxury 3BR/3BA Skion/Off $250 Per Night (April/May)
- Minimum stay:3 nights

- Pets allowed:Yes
- Wheel chair accessible:Yes
This Ski -on, Ski-off 3 bedroom 3 bathroom condo is our pride and joy! 'The Lodges' are regarded as one of the most prestigious developments in the Killington area and offer top quality accomodation and priviliged apres ski facilities for the discerning skier.
The location of The Lodges affords the luxury of a genuine ski-on/ski-off experience. Be first to the top of the mountain! You are just steps from the Sunrise Lift. Our unit is approximately 300' from the lift across a level area. Although you could ski across it's quicker to walk across than ski because of the flat ground at this point.
ONE OF THE BIG ADVANTAGES OF STAYING AT 'THE LODGES' IS IT'S LOCATION. BEING PART OF THE SUNRISE COMMUNITY IT IS RIGHT NEXT TO THE SUNRISE CENTER AND LIFT. MORE IMPORTANTLY, YOU ARE ABLE TO USE THIS LIFT WITHOUT A LIFT PASS. THIS IS POTENTIALLY A BIG PLUS FOR NEW SKIERS AS IT MEANS YOU COULD PRACTICE YOUR SKILLS ON THIS SLOPE WITHOUT PAYING FOR A FULL MOUNTAIN PASS. YOU ARE RESTRICTED TO SKIING BACK DOWN 'BEARVIEW' THEN 'SUNDOG' OR 'RENDEZVOUS' BUT YOU DON'T NEED A LIFT PASS FOR THIS. (SEE THE KILLINGTON TRAIL MAP FOR DETAILS)THESE ARE GENTLE RUNS AND IDEAL FOR NEW SKIERS AND NOVICES WANTING TO GAIN CONFIDENCE.
AFTER ALL, NOVICE SKIERS WILL BE PAYING FULL PRICE FOR A COMPREHENSIVE PASS ACCESSING ALL OF THE MOUNTAIN BUT THEY MAY, FOR A FEW DAYS AT LEAST, SEE ONLY NURSERY SLOPES - AND POSSIBLY CROWDED ONES AT THAT. MY VIEW IS THAT IT'S WORTH CONSIDERING PAYING FOR PRIVATE TUITION AND USING ONLY THE SUNRISE VILLAGE TRIPLE LIFT FOR YOUR FIRST FEW LESSONS --- BIG POTENTIAL SAVINGS!!
Sunrise Mountain Village also offers an awesome array of hiking, snowshoeing, and skiing exploration from right outside your door. There has even been sleigh rides on offer.
Forget frozen or muddy gridlocked car parking lots and massive lines of skiers trying to get onto the mountain - get there first and ski right home at the end of the day! You can ski right up to your door! (subject to snow conditions and car parking lot condition)
Interior Comforts
There has been no expense spared in making this a truly executive unit. The large living room area features an imported 'L' shaped leather sofa and in January 2010 have installed a 43 inch 1080 HD cable TV, with DVD and Hi-Fi. We have now added full WiFi facilities.
Each of the bedrooms has an imported Italian King size bed (Cal King) and each bedroom also has its own luxury bathroom. We have also supplied two fold-away beds. We have also supplied each of the three bedrooms with flat screen TV's. (The master bedroom as a 43 inch HD LED TV) Bedroom 2 has a 43 inch HD TV and Bedroom 3 has also been supplied with a 26' HD TV.
The gourmet kitchen in this unit features a designer stainless steel appliance package, cherry cabinets, granite counter tops and slate floors.
These are top-end, $1/2 Million + units and take some beating for executive quality
This unit is really superb and is located next to the Sunrise Chair Lift and Sports Center, providing you with the owner privileges that you deserve. (We provide you with exclusive swipe-cards for privileged access)
At the end of a busy day on the slopes enjoy the large indoor pool (very warm in winter!!), the indoor hot tub, the steam room, the sauna, the well equipped gymnasium. Outside there is now a very large 10 person Hot tub in a covered lanai You can even pick up a light meal at the restaurant (Seasona) Open 11am to 300pm for lunches and additionally on Friday and Saturday evenings for dinner.
This condo is ideal for three couples as there are very few 3- bed, 3- bath units and even fewer with such a spectacular location and with these facilities on offer. Ski-on ski-off and avoid the crowds!
Summer in Killington
Just because the snow has melted and the skiers have gone home, it doesn't mean the Killington Region shuts down, in fact it comes alive. When the green grass begins to sprout, the air gets a little warmer, and the days get a little longer, thoughts turn to the great outdoors, summer activities, and unforgettable Vermont vacation experiences. With flowing streams, hidden waterfalls, secluded lakes, quaint villages, breathtaking views, covered bridges, green hills and cool breezes, the summer seems endless.
The Killington Region has many unique areas to hike and explore, with trails for all ages and levels. If you prefer biking you can tour the region along country roads, scenic Route 100, or ride Killington's mountain trails.
Experience a fly fishing adventure in the heart of the Green Mountains. Play a relaxing round of golf at nearby Killington golf course, or take a cool swim in our outdoor sparkling pool. Go for a swim in one of the many lakes and rivers located nearby. There are a few world class rivers which offer some of the best fly fishing rivers in the entire northeast. Native Eastern Brook Trout are in the smaller streams of the Killington area, and huge rainbow and native brown trout await in the Vermont rivers such as the White and Ottaquechee Rivers.
The Lodges is available year round and we offer excellent rates for longer term summer packages.

Most importantly our dog is welcome. Wonderful, spacious, new, clean condo, with big comfy king beds. Three beds, three baths. Right next to the Sunrise chairlift for easy access to start the day and ski right to front door at the end of the day. The spa is next door too, with lunch at the restaurant, swimming and hot tub. We walk every morning on the snow shoe trails with our dog, then drive over to Killington for dinner or cook up a storm in the fabulous kitchen. Huge washer and dryers get everything clean for another day of fun.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Condo is amazingly clean, massive, and luxurious. The Owner Ken was a absolute pleasure to rent from. (8) of us were very confortable in the Condo and had lots of room to spread out. The Ski in ski out was so easy to use once we figured it out. A short walk to the chairlift and we skied 5 feet from our car parked in front of the Condo. The condo is a very large 3 bedroom 3 bathroom so pleanty of hot showers after a long day of skiing. The ski locker is great and keeps all wet boots and skis in a warm changing room prior to heading out for the day. After a day of skiing we used the huge outdoor jacuzzi and then went for a dip in the pool. Once we figured out our lay of the land we didnt want to leave and would look to go back for 5 day trip next time instead of the 3 days. Were trying to see when we can go back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for these positive comments. It's always gratifying when a guest enjoys themselves. Hope to see you again soon!

This beautiful 3br condo is very clean, well maintained, and offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Highly recommended if you have a pet or not. I found the owners to be fantastic in working out a stay on short notice, extremely hospitable, and professional in all respects. My wife and I brought along our beagle which made our visit that much more special. The overall surrounding property is very well maintained. The office staff was friendly and very helpful during our visit. Our only regret is that we were unable to stay longer.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you so much for this great review Hope you come back soon! Regards Ken

We had 2 families (total of 3 toddlers) stay for a long weekend and had a fantastic time. The Sunrise lift is walkable, but we ended up piling the kids in the minivan for a very short drive across the parking lot. At the end of the day, there is a small trail off of Sunrise that dumps you 50 feet from the condo. The mudroom was fantastic. The pool/sauna is as far as the lift. Walkable in theory, but difficult with kids with wet bathing suits in tow. The condo had everything we needed. The kitchen is well equipped. WiFi was perfect and made up for lack of AT&T coverage. Don't be dissuaded by the owners living abroad. He is fantastic and easily reachable. He will provide you with contacts (cleaner, real estate attorney, HOA, etc) to verify ownership.Recommended for: People with disabilities, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for this review - hope to see you again! Ken

We were 2 families with 5 children among us. The condo was exactly as advertised and perfect for our group. There was plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. The master bedroom was big enough for the four older kids to sleep and watch tv (or play xbox which they brought from home). The kitchen was well equipped and we ate almost every meal together at the dining table. The condo was clean, the mudroom was wonderful especially when 9 people return home after skiing. We did not get to use the ski on/ ski off as the lift was not yet open, but that was a risk we knew we were taking this early in the season. The only thing I would definitely recommend is having a 4 wheel drive vehicle as the ride up (and down) the mountain can be difficult in bad weather. Finally I would like to thank Ken for the use of his home. It was a pleasure dealing with you!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Nice review from really nice people We seem to fall so lucky with quality guests! Ken

We were here the last week of March and we loved it. We stayed there with four grown-ups, two kids and a baby. The Condo is large, clean and very well equiped. The pictures actually don't do it justice. The layout is great. You enter through a large mudroom, then the kitchen and living room. Each of the three bedrooms has its own bathroom. Everything looks clean, new and well-maintained. Short walk to the club house with pool, sauna, restaurant (not always open) and skilift. We had a wonderful time. No issues with the Wifi at all and the skilift was in operation. The slopes were very quiet (we were late in the season, but there was a lot of snow). For more dining options or to go to the ski school/childcare a car is needed. The owner lives in the UK, but we got all the service we needed. I would definitely consider staying there again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you for this positive review! I think I really need to do something about the photos as a few guests have made similar comments. I guess its better than having pictures that actually makes a place look better than it actually is. I do live in the UK so sometimes my email response is not immediate, particularly as we are five hours ahead of you. Therefore, your late evening emails are often missed until the next morning, which means that it well into the night within the USA. I have to give credit for the condition of our condo to our housekeeper, Lisa who does an excellent job. We aim to always provide our guests with immaculate accommodation, even on quick-changeover days. Ken

Six adults just returned from a terrific ski week and your 5 star condo played a huge part. This was the first time in 30 years that we stayed in ski-on/ski-off accomodations at Killington. The short walk and ski home were very reasonable. The luxurious living room and well equipped kitchen made apres-skiing thoroughly enjoyable. The king size beds and individual washrooms completed the luxury. Ken, the owner, made the reservation process easy to complete and was quick to answer any questions we had. We highly recommend this place and hope to return again next year.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Many thanks for these kind comments - much appreciated! So glad you enjoyed the place. I realise we are priviliged to own a place at 'The Lodges' in Killington and we enjoy being able to share it with our guests. Ken Pullan

Just came from a 4 day weekend stay at the Lodges, absolutely great condo, wonderfully appointed bedrooms all with baths, all bedrooms have tv's, and enough closet space, newer kitchen, mud room with enough space for 9 people to change into their ski boots, very close to the sunrise ski lift a 4-5 minute walk even carrying skis is not bad at all. The amenities at the lodges were indoor and outdoor hot tub, nice size pool, sauna and a steam room which we used everyday, it was a nice way to end the day of great skiing. Thanks again Ken for a great condo.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

The unit is down 1 flight of stairs from parking (thought it was ground level by description). Wifi not available in units (spoke to an owner & she said it never is & told us to go to clubhouse for it). Weird TV issue, bedrooms got many stations while living room was limited. It is a very cold walk to the clubhouse, especially if you have wet hair from pool. Sunrise lift is a "healthy walk" but very doable. We had a blizzard while there & skiing back to unit wasn't possible as they had sanded the parking lots. Location is remote for dinner choices, they are mostly located on other side of mountain, so be prepared for dark, sometimes intense driving. I did bring groceries with me from home so not sure about food store availability. All in all a beautiful, roomy, clean place. Would consider staying again.Did you find this review helpful? Owner info
Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: We live in the UK but have owned property in the US since 1990 when we bought property in Orlando, Florida. I am currently serving as a Police Officer within Durham Constabulary and specialize in Serious and Fatal Accident Investigation and I am one of their Senior Investigating officers. My wife, Lesley Hunter (see Google for lesleyhunter - UK ) - specializes in Leadership Consultancy and is a Professional Speaker
Why the Owner Chose Killington:
We had previously skied in Killington and when we were looking at properties in this area we felt that this was the best location and that The Lodges were a superb product
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
You don't need to use the car to get to the ski lifts (subject to Sunrise Lift operations) and combining that with a genuine 5* quality condo - what more do you need? There are cheaper places but they usually don't have ski lift direct access and the units themselves are of inferior size and quality. We have yet to have a single complaint (other than the occasional gripe about there not being enough snow - which occasionally happens early in the season - but I cannot do anything about that !
