This new and roomy (2600 sq. ft), beautifully decorated 4 bedroom log cabin style home has 2 master suites, one upstairs with a jacuzzi tub and one downstairs, and 3 1/2 bathrooms. It includes a separate carpeted gameroom/lounge with pool table, ping pong, air hockey, TV-DVD, stereo, leather sofa & coffee table. We are in one of the most desirable locations in Big Bear Lake, 4 blocks to the slopes and RIGHT ACROSS FROM THE SKI SHUTTLE PICKUP for both local ski areas. Our location offers tremendous convenience yet is very quiet.
AMENITIES
*Our inviting home includes a 7 person hot tub on a huge redwood deck wrapping around the entire rear and side of the home. The deck includes propane BBQ and outdoor furniture (seating 12+). Enjoy beautiful mountain, forest and meadow views on our private lot adjacent to a nature preserve with closest neighbor appx 200' away.
*The 'Great Room', kitchen, dining area and family room with large rock fireplace , big TV with cable/premium channels and stereo with CD are perfect for entertaining.
*Enjoy high speed wireless internet throughout the home.
*The large kitchen has granite counter tops and island, custom pine cabinets and all new appliances. It includes oven with built-in convection microwave, gas cooktop, side by side refrigerator-freezer, dishwasher, crock pot, blender, waffle iron, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, pots/pans and assortment of spices.
*The large garage is divided into parking for one car w/room for ski storage and carpeted lounge area with a pool table, ping pong, TV-DVD, stereo, leather sofa and coffee table.
*The upstairs master suite has a king size bed w/comforter and cable TV. It opens to a balcony with forest and mountain views. The large tiled master bath has a jaquzzi tub and separate tiled shower.
*The downstairs master suite has a queen size bed w/comforter and cable TV and opens to the oversized rear deck with spa. The attached tiled bath has double sinks and oversize shower.
*Bedroom #3 has two sets of bunks, trundle bed, futon, cable TV and DVD.
*Bedroom #4 is set up with a daybed and trundle, loveseat, cable TV and DVD.
* Our home comes with fresh towels and beds are made up and ready for you with fresh linens and plenty of cozy blankets.
*Many other amenities including stereo w/CD player, telephones, separate laundry room, clothes iron w/board, soaps, paper goods and all basic cleaning supplies. All you need to bring is your luggage!
IDEAL LOCATION
We are located in one of the most desirable and convenient neighborhoods in Big Bear, just 4 blocks to the slopes and RIGHT across from the ski shuttle pick up for Snow Summit and Bear Mountain ski areas.
We are a short walk, bike ride or drive to all attractions in the Big Bear Area. We are walking distance to Starbucks, Vons Supermarket, restaurants, shops, Blockbuster, the lakeshore, miniature golf, trout fishing pond, and Meadow Park with swimming beach, tennis, sports fields, fishing pier, picnic tables and play structure.
The free public MWD East Boat/Jet Ski Launch Ramp is only a mile from our door.
We are just a block to Elevations Day Spa, the excellent Big Bear public library and a "day use" fitness center. Take a stroll to the lakeshore through our upscale (and not hilly) neighborhood dotted with beautiful old-growth pines. And with all these conveniences close by our area is amazingly quiet!
Take a 5-10 minute bike ride from our door to the tree-lined 3 mile paved "Alpine Pedal Path" along the north shore of beautiful Big Bear Lake. Stop and enjoy the informative Big Bear Discovery Center and the numerous trails for all levels of hiking. No bike? Rental shop is only 2 blocks away.
For mountain biking Big Bear is hard to beat. We are central to a network of trails for riding of all levels. And don't miss riding down a choice of great trails from the top of Snow Summit Sky Chair, rising 1100' above the valley floor.
Big Bear Lake itself is great for fishing, water skiing, jet skiing & sailing. If you bring your own boat we are 1 mile to the free public East Launch Ramp on the north shore with a day use picnic area and beach. We are 1.5 miles to Big Bear and Pine Knot Marinas which also have launch ramps as well as boat and jet ski rentals.
We are 5 minutes to quaint Big Bear Village with a variety of shopping from antique stores to unique clothing & souvenir shops, restaurants, arcade, 2 multi-screen movie theaters, bowling, candy & ice cream parlors, etc.
We are 5 minutes to must-see Moonridge Zoo with bear, buffalo, eagle, coyote, birds of prey, deer, reptiles, mountain lion, etc.
Unlike many rental homes in Big Bear, our flat lot and flat neighborhood makes access very easy during icy or snowy conditions. No struggling to make it up or down steep streets, driveways and walkways during winter months.
