This new (2006)and roomy (2600 sq. ft), beautifully decorated 4 bedroom log cabin style home has 2 master suites, one upstairs with a jacuzzi tub and one downstairs, and 3 1/2 bathrooms. It includes a carpeted gameroom/lounge area with pool table, ping pong, air hockey, TV-DVD, stereo, leather sofa & coffee table. We are in one of the most desirable locations in Big Bear Lake, 4 blocks to the slopes and RIGHT ACROSS FROM THE SKI SHUTTLE PICKUP for both local ski areas.
AMENITIES
*Our inviting home includes a 7 person hot tub on a huge redwood deck wrapping around the entire rear and side of the home. The deck includes 2 Weber propane BBQs and outdoor furniture (seating 12+). Enjoy beautiful mountain, forest and meadow views on our private lot adjacent to a nature preserve with closest neighbor appx 200' away.
*The 'Great Room', kitchen, dining area and family room with big stone fireplace with clean burning gas logs (no wood needed), 52" HDTV with cable/premium channels and stereo with CD are perfect for entertaining.
*Enjoy high speed wireless internet throughout the home.
*The large kitchen has granite counter tops and island, custom pine cabinets and all new appliances. It includes oven with built-in convection microwave, gas cooktop, side by side refrigerator-freezer, dishwasher, crock pot, blender, waffle iron, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, pots/pans and assortment of spices.
*The oversized garage is divided into parking for one car w/room for ski storage and carpeted lounge area with a pool table, ping pong, TV-DVD, stereo, leather sofa and coffee table.
*The upstairs master suite has a king size bed w/comforter and cable TV. It opens to a balcony with forest and mountain views. The large tiled master bath has a jaquzzi tub and separate tiled shower.
*The downstairs master suite has a queen size bed w/comforter and cable TV and opens to the oversized rear deck with spa. The attached tiled bath has double sinks and oversize shower.
*Bedroom #3 has two sets of bunks, trundle bed, futon, cable TV and DVD.
*Bedroom #4 is set up with a daybed and trundle, loveseat, cable TV and DVD.
* Our home comes with fresh towels and beds are made up and ready for you with fresh linens and plenty of cozy blankets.
*Many other amenities including stereo w/CD player, telephones, separate laundry room, clothes iron w/board, soaps, paper goods and all basic cleaning supplies. All you need to bring is your luggage!
IDEAL LOCATION
Although it looks and feels like Montana surrounding our home we are actually located in one of the most desirable and convenient neighborhoods in Big Bear, just 4 blocks to the slopes and RIGHT across from the ski shuttle pick up for Snow Summit and Bear Mountain ski areas.
We are a short walk, bike ride or drive to all attractions in the Big Bear Area. We are walking distance to Starbucks, Vons Supermarket, restaurants, shops, Blockbuster, the lakeshore, miniature golf, and Meadow Park with swimming beach, tennis, sports fields, fishing pier, picnic tables and play structure. Now, new to Big Bear, zip line tours are nearby.
The free public MWD East Boat/Jet Ski Launch Ramp is only a mile from our door.
We are just a block to Elevations Day Spa, the excellent Big Bear public library and a "day use" fitness center. Take a stroll to the lakeshore through our upscale (and not hilly) neighborhood dotted with beautiful old-growth pines.
Take a short bike ride from our door to the tree-lined 3 mile paved "Alpine Pedal Path" along the north shore of beautiful Big Bear Lake. Stop and enjoy the informative Big Bear Discovery Center and the numerous trails for all levels of hiking. No bike? Rental shop is only 2 blocks away.
For mountain biking Big Bear is hard to beat. We are central to a network of trails for riding of all levels. And don't miss riding down a choice of great trails from the top of Snow Summit Sky Chair, rising 1100' above the valley floor.
Big Bear Lake itself is great for fishing, water skiing, jet skiing & sailing. If you bring your own boat we are 1 mile to the free public East Launch Ramp on the north shore with a day use picnic area and beach. We are 1.5 miles to Big Bear and Pine Knot Marinas which also have launch ramps as well as boat and jet ski rentals.
We are 3 minutes to quaint Big Bear Village with a variety of shopping from antique stores to unique clothing & souvenir shops, restaurants, arcade, 2 multi-screen movie theaters, bowling, candy & ice cream parlors, etc.
We are 5 minutes to must-see Moonridge Zoo with bear, buffalo, eagle, coyote, birds of prey, deer, reptiles, mountain lion, etc.
Unlike many rental homes in Big Bear, our flat lot and flat neighborhood makes access very easy during icy or snowy conditions. No struggling to make it up or down steep streets, driveways and walkways during winter months.

Why the Owner Chose Eagle Point
We own another beautiful home right across the street (VRBO #76564). When this property was under construction in 2005 we realized it was going to be an outstanding design with great features and finishes. How perfect to have two great homes directly across from each other. With another family we were able to purchase it and make this an ideal location for a vacation for a large group (up to 22).
The Unique Benefits at this House
Eagle Point Escape offers everything a family could hope for in vacation home. Four bedrooms including two master suites, gameroom with 3 game tables TV and leather sofa, 7 person spa on a large deck surrounding the home, very ample 'great room' with HDTV and seating for the whole family, large gourmet kitchen with island seating and granite countertops and a location that is arguably the best in Big Bear in terms of convenience to all the amenities.

This was our 2nd stay at Eagle Point Escape and I can't imagine staying anywhere else. Gary and Mara's attention to detail make this THE best place to vacation in all of Big Bear. The layout is open and roomy. The furniture is top quality, comfortable and make it easy to have 10-12 people without feeling crowded. The beds are SO comfortable ..best sleep ever. Nothing has been overlooked..the gorgeous kitchen has everything. We ate in for every meal over our 5 night stay and the pots, pans, cookie sheets, griddle, coffee pot, measuring items etc all came in handy. The young adults loved the game tables and we all loved the jacuzzi. There are 2 BBQ's for outdoor cooking too! This cabinbalso has an awesome large screen TV, DVD movies, lots of books and a beautiful, large, fireplace to enjoy. Being right up the street from both Bear Mountain, Snow Summit and all stores made this vacation so much easier and enjoyable for everyone. There are also some really cool hiking trails nearby for those who like to explore. We came this time to celebrate my son's 21st birthday and as soon as we walked in the door everyone said "wow, this place is beautiful!" None of us wanted to leave and after staying here, we all wish we could move to Big Bear! Thank you for everything, Gary and Mara..for opening up your home for all of us and for your special attention to everything pertaining to this trip...we will be back again!

We stayed at this place in Jan 2012 and loved it. It's close to everything, is clean, comfy and warm. The best part was all the extras - SPA, ping pong, pool table, air hockey. I always think a game room can make the vacation experience and this place had it all! The pictures are spot on.

I can't really say enough about this house. It's beautiful and perfect for families. The kids loved the game room and my wife and I loved the kitchen, deck, family room and spacious rooms. It has everything that makes for a very well equipped house including kitchen appliances and cooking utensils, DVDs, pool table, ping-pong table, air hockey, comfortable beds, fireplace, grill, hot tub, all in perfect condition and kept clean. Probably the best part is that the owner is excellent to deal with. We dealt only by phone and he answered all my questions and was always very prompt with replies. This was our first experience with Gary and although we loved this house, we'll gladly return to any of his properties.

This property is exactly as listed - beautifully designed, large kitchen and great-sized rooms. This house is perfect for a large group, especially because of the open floor plan which allows everyone to hang out together, whether in the kitchen, living room or dining room. The property is very private, and the game room was a huge plus. Most importantly, Gary & Mara were very accommodating to all of our needs :) This is definitely a house we'd rent again. Thanks for a memorable trip!

What a fantastic weekend! Great snow, great company, and what a brilliant house. A diamond in the rough when it comes to rentals. The house is gorgeous, tastefully decorated, has tons of amenities (ping pong, pool, and air hockey) and is extremely comfortable. I wish I had a couch as big and comfortable at my own house. All and all Eagle point stood out amongst every other vacation rental I've stayed in. I can't wait to come back up the hill!

We just finished our 6 th year in a row staying at this house and the one across the street, staying with 20 women who have been friends for more than 20 years. We used to move around to different places every year, but once we found these two houses on Andes lane, we've been super happy. Everything we need for a great weekend, great accomodations and kitchen materials and very responsive owner. Can't wait to extend it to year #7.

This place is everything it says it is and more. Great amenities. Excellent location. It is very close to town and plenty of places to eat. Grocery store is 2 minutes down the road. The game room is fantastic with pool, air hockey, and ping pong plus plenty of space to store any equipment. Amazing vacation thanks to this great place. Definitely recommend it!
