Can't wait to go back!!!!

I go to Marathon 3 times a year. I usually stay somewhere different each time, untill now. After my first stay at this house I have it booked again. Privacy galore, location, location, location. The house was perfect,clean and spacious. 2 masters upstairs were great. Good water pressure, great kitchen. The outside area was great, Tiki hut by the ocean was a favorite hangout. I didnt see many lobster but we saw so many different kinds of fish. Fishing was good, you never know what you will catch. The only downfalls: Nothing in the kitchen, I mean, no sugar,paper towls,garbage bags(the things you usually find left behind in a rental) so bring it with you. A lot of "grass" in the swimming area,also very rocky. I wish they had night lights by the water, helps for night fishing. To me the positives well outweighed the negatives therefore I will be back in a few weeks. And I cannot wait.

As far as paper towels and sugar, etc....sometimes there are massive amounts of those kinds of items, and sometimes the previous tenants take whatever is left. Sorry you arrived to nothing :( I will mention to Connie that the maid should leave extra garbage bags and paper towels. The sea grass is tricky. There are months of the year that there is absolutely none, and it's all on the Atlantic side. I'm in New York so don't know those specifics, but Connie would! Anyway, thanks again for your happy review, rebooking, and appreciation of the house. We try!!

Spring Break

This house is located in a great very private location right on the Gulf. The kids fished every day off the pier. The Gulf was so calm every day that we wish we would have brought the bass boat. The public ramp into the Gulf is very close to this house. The house is spacious and plenty big enough for 10 people. There are a couple of acres so the kids can really spread out and have fun. The property was clean and the owner and property manager were both very helpful. There are fishing charters, bike rental, kayak rental and snorkeling tours nearby. The Sunset Cafe and Lazy Days restaurants were favorites. This house is a 1 hour drive from Key West and well worth it for the amount of privacy.

Great Vacation Home

Marcy, We loved your home, we had such a wonderful time. It was so nice, clean and plenty of space to relax. The view was so beautiful over looking the bay and we loved watching the sunset in the evenings. The kitchen was large and had everything you need to prepare meals, small or large and plenty of seating. The pier was nice and plenty of room to dock your boat as well as a great place to fish. Thanks Marcy. We had a wonderful stay. The house was spacious and relaxing and the size of the property was really refreshing. Connie was friendly and helpful and we would have no problems recommending a stay to others and would like to come back ourselves. The dock was nice, as we had a boat, and the location of the property made Gulf and Atlantic trips a breeze.

In any event, we so thoroughly enjoyed your spectacular property, wonderful house and never ending views. My son and his wife have just finished a scuba diving course and are so thrilled to be coming down to Marathon with us next summer. We have been coming to the gulf house for over six years. This home has three plus acres so we all have more than enough room. There are two kayaks and every morning my son and I were out on the water at daybreak. It's a wonderful get away, we really do feel as if we have escaped to a private island. The owners are extremely nice as well. When the air conditioning stopped this past time, they had a repairman there within an hour. Next door is the property manager Connie and she is always available by cell phone if there is a question or issue. Walking distance is the Island restaurant and they have a great happy hour. My only complaint are the no seeums that come out at night, but I guess that's the tropics Don't forget to bring a bottle of Off. The fishing is plentiful and there's more fantastic water views than you could ask for. I say this nostagically as I'm looking at the buildings outside my windows here in NYC. Maybe I'll have to retire early and move to the keys. Not a bad idea.

Amazing place to stay. Completely private. Extremely relaxing. You can spend the entire week snorkeling with the crabs, lobsters and big fish right off the dock. If you want peace and quiet that is exactly what you will get. Only 2 complaints...... no sand, and low water pressure...... everything else was perfect.
