Location: Marathon, Marathon Area, Florida Keys, Florida, USA (2 minutes from Marathon airport, 2.5 hours from Miami)

Accommodations:  House, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths (Sleeps 8-12)

Fabulous, white stucco home smack on the Gulf of Mexico. Oversized wrought iron gates at entrance. Situated on 3 acres of land with magnificent views. Practically every room in the house has a view of turquoise water and palm trees. There are 2 Master suites upstairs with their own private bathrooms & tv's. Downstairs are 2 smaller bedrooms, a large kitchen with big granite island opening up to the family room and another tv - all with satellite. Linens/towels provided. Stainless steel appliances. Decorated beautifully with a tropical feel. Terracotta floors in all rooms. The property has plenty of room to play frisbee or fly a kite! There is a beachy area to play horseshoes or sit back and watch the boaters, read a book, or just relax. Two 3 person kayaks (w/lifejackets!) come with the property too.

The sunsets are spectacular at cocktail hour! There is a huge tiki umbrella with round table that seats at least 12 people on the front patio right on the water's edge. You will fall in love with this house. Our guests come back over and over every year! Please email for more photos :)

  • We have been coming to the gulf house for over six years. This home has three plus acres so we all have more than enough room. There are two kayaks and every morning my son and I were out on the water at daybreak. It's a wonderful get away, we really do feel as if we have escaped to a private island. The owners are extremely nice as well. When the air conditioning stopped this past time, they had a repairman there within an hour. Next door is the property manager Connie and she is always available by cell phone if there is a question or issue. Walking distance is the Island restaurant and they have a great happy hour. My only complaint are the no seeums that come out at night, but I guess that's the tropics Don't forget to bring a bottle of Off. The fishing is plentiful and there's more fantastic water views than you could ask for. I say this nostagically as I'm looking at the buildings outside my windows here in NYC. Maybe I'll have to retire early and move to the keys. Not a bad idea.

  • Amazing place to stay. Completely private. Extremely relaxing. You can spend the entire week snorkeling with the crabs, lobsters and big fish right off the dock. If you want peace and quiet that is exactly what you will get. Only 2 complaints...... no sand, and low water pressure...... everything else was perfect.
