White Bear Lodge has stunning panoramic views of Mt. Quandary, one of Colorado's 14'ers. This unobstructed view is enhanced by the floor to ceiling windows. The rear of the lodge backs up to National Forest, with a running stream paralleling the property no more than 20 yards away. This stream has a private bridge over it that leads to a path that will join with a mapped trail. Truly a unique and beautiful parcel of land! White Bear lodge matches it's lot. It too is wonderful. The back deck has a Bar-B-Que and an 8x8 hot tub with it's own waterfall and over 60 jets. This is a very private setting to view the stars.
The kitchen has cherry cabinets, stainless appliances, and black slab granite counters. There is service for 24, plenty of bake and serveware, a blender and other necessary appliances, like the coffee maker with a built-in grinder for your morning cup of java. There is high speed internet with hook-up or wireless capabilities, and a whole house stereo system - you should bring your favorite CD's or i Pod! The lower level great room has the same views of Mt. Quandary, as well as a wet bar with refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. This is where the big screen TV with surround sound, cable programming, DVD, and Gamecube are. This large gameroom also has a pool table. For your enjoyment, the sauna is in it's own room. One of the master suites has a TV with DVD and Bose surround speakers, and it's bathroom has a jetted tub. There are 5 bedrooms - 3 kings, one queen and one queen with a twin trundle and twin bunk. The loft has a couch, balcony, and 2 queen beds. There are also 2 queen Aerobeds with bedding.

Thanks for a great time at White Bear Lodge. A beautiful house to come back to after a hard day of skiing. The kids loved the hot tub and game room and the adults loved it when the kids were down in the game room. We couldn't have asked for a more comfortable house. Thanks again - memories that will last a lifetime.

We loved our time at White Bear Lodge. Great hiking behind house and others a very close drive. Town is close. Dog friendy! Loved the sound of the stream. Hated to leave. We searched several places in Breck area, glad we choose this one.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

My husband and i spent our anniversary at White Bear last weekend. The house was very nice, secluded, and quiet but not far from town. We enjoyed a hike right out the back door on a nice trail with no one else on it, and relaxing in the hot tub on our return. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed to make a fabulous dinner and the downstairs entertainment area was fun for playing pool and watching movies. Very relaxing. After arriving home in Denver my husband realized he'd left his computer at the house. He called Marvelyn and she offered to bring it to us later in the week--but then she found a friend who was coming down the next morning and offered to drop it off. It saved us a 4 hour round trip back up the mountain to retrieve it--very much appreciated. These hosts were so warm and welcoming, I just can't say enough nice things about them. We will definitely seek out their properties in the future.

White Bear Lodge was perfect for our family gathering of 14, six of them children ages 8 - 15. The lodge was spacious and beautiful, well-furnished and in a lovely spot, good access to good roads taking one into a nearby village where there are many amenities. Maintenance was very helpful and quick to respond. In the end we were fairly treated and found the owners positive and trustworthy.
