Stayed here for our honeymoon and couldn't be happier; the perfect location enabled us to walk everywhere from here (the hills are steep!). Public transportation is right outside the window so no need to walk if you're not interested. Neighborhood has great restaurants, nightlife, and was a central touchpoint throughout our trip. The square outside of the window is great for drinking coffee in the morning or relaxing with drinks at night. We landed at 7am and had no problems getting to the apartment for the early check-in- Silvia was great! Guided us through the Lisbon map and near by cafes, and even called a taxi back to the airport the morning we left. Hope to be back soon! So happy we choose this apartment over a hotel.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was such an amazing apartment. All of the windows that overlook the square are great, they open up so that you almost feel like you are outside. Lisbon was a lot of fun, very beautiful, very friendly people and when I visit again, I will most definitely stay at this apartment again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

I stayed for 3 nights in this beautiful apartment and really enjoyed my stay. Everything was as described on the website, lots of space, clean and a perfect location. You are right at the centre of the nicest area in Lisbon, within walking distance of shopping, restaurants and bars. It felt very safe in this neighbourhood. I will definitely return again and have already recommended it to friends.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The one bedroom apartment was very spacious and comfortable. It was just my husband and myself, so we had lots of room to spread out. The furniture and fixtures were modern and well maintained. The location could not be better -- Praca Luis Cameos is in the center of everything. If we had one concern, it was that because the Praca is at the center of everything, it can be noisy on the weekends. The airconditioning (and heating) work well, but it meant that we could not open the windows at night. it was great to have the elevator and to have such a comfortable space after a long day sightseeing. We loved Lisbon and the apartment added a great deal to our visit.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Paulo, it was a pleasure to meet you and to stay at your property. We appreciated your hospitality and your readiness to meet us, your personal attention to help us to settle in and to answer our questions and the lovely bottle of vinho verde you provided to welcome us. You have a hidden jewel that we would highly recommend to all! Obrigada! What a wonderful way to begin our 12-day adventure through Portugal! We arrived at the Lisbon airport, purchased the Viagem Card and took the brand new Metro line to the Chiado area with ease instead of paying for a taxi. When we ascended from the Metro station in the Chiado area, the apartment was about one block away...so convenient! The apartment was very lovely, CLEAN, modern, well-equipped, beautifully decorated and located in the BEST part of Lisbon! To anyone contemplating a visit, this is the REAL deal...the photos absolutely reflect the value of a stay here! The apartment is located on a charming, lively, quaint square (Praca Luis Camoes) convenient to a post office, pharmacy, coffee shop, bakery, bank, a pub, many upscale shops and even a shopping mall (Armazens Do Chiado)! Just around the corner along Rua do Norte, are many restaurant choices, wine bars, etc. Our favorite was a restaurant called Adega Machado serving up fabulous Portuguese cuisine (don't miss the caldo verde & bacalhau) and a spectacular Fado show! While strolling the many side streets, we found a beautiful shop called Sant'Anna on Rua Do Alecrim specializing in Portuguese ceramics. There are many more hidden surprises! There are many transportation options in and around Lisbon to make sightseeing easy. Some worthy sightseeing options not to miss would be going to Sintra to visit the Pena Palace & the Mouro Castelo, spending a day in Belem to visit the National Coach Museum, Monastery of Jeronimos, the Monument to the Discoveries & Belem Tower, visiting the Gulbenkian Museum and a day trip to Fatima. In short, we LOVED our time in Lisboa...welcoming people, wonderful architecture, culture, history, food, Fado, and picturesque settings! To all of you who follow us..."Boa Viagem!!"Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband my two kids (22 year old daughter and 17 year old son) and myself had a wonderful stay in this Chiado property. The apartment was spacious and close to all activities and restaurants. Very easy to get to the beach where my kids wanted to go. Sylvia and her colleague ( i am sorry, but I can't remember her name) were great in letting us checking in early and telling us where to go and what to do in Lisbon, They also reserved a taxi to take us to the aiport on our departure date. Overall, we all really enjoyed theri hospitality and would highly recommend this apartment.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Stayed in the apartment for 8 days. It was home away from home. Fully equipped kitchen + wifi + cable TV + safety deposit box. After sightseeing and going on day trips, it was refreshing to go back to the apartment. It is centrally located...can get to/from the subway in 3-5 minutes. Train 28, which is the best way to see the city IMO, stops right in front of the building. Rossio Station and Cais do Sodre train stations are 10 mins away. Dragging the kids out for dinner after a long day was not a challenge as there are numerous, good quality restaurants nearby. Would not hesitate to stay again. Friday and Saturday crowds were not too much of an issue....living room was a great place to people-watch.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This apartment was great--perfect location for exploring the city plus near public transportion to travel to nearby small towns as Sintra, Cascais, and Porto Brandeo. It was also spacious and the inside window shutters closed out noise and early sunlight but when open it was bright and right on the square. There were also good restaurants in walking distance. The property was clean and well maintained with a firm confortable mattress. We would recommend this property.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The apartment has a fantastic view overlooking Luis Camoes Square which is right on Tram 28 and the apartment is easy walking distance to the Metro, Praca Comerida, Elevator, Rossio Square. The apartment is quiet even though it is right on the square. There are grocery stores, coffee shops, ATMs, and restaurant within a block or two of the apartment. Tram 28 is the most famous tram in town and takes you up to the Castle St. George for great views of the city. A short walk takes you to a riverfront train station where you can take the train or tram to Belem and the great museums. Downstairs there is a small café named O Trevo where you can get a good pork sandwich with optional mustard for less than 2 Euros. The apartment has a lot of natural light and feels larger than even the photos suggest. The living room is good size with two sofas that are also pullout beds. Our 10 and 12 year old children slept on the sofas. Down a hallway is the kitchen, which had everything we needed with a small dining table. Also in the kitchen is the washing machine. Next to the kitchen is the bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom had a double sink and nice shower with plenty of hot water and good pressure. The bedroom had a comfortable bed but not a lot of closet space. There was storage space in the hallway, though. Wifi was strong throughout the apartment. There is a lift that takes you up to the 3rd floor apartment. We were there in late May when the temperature was around 75 deg and only needed to run the AC a little bit. Paulo and Silvia were very responsive to all of my emails before and during the trip. The night before we left, at 9:30pm, the airline changed our flight to 6am but they were able to change our taxi pickup to accommodate our last minute change. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Lisbon.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Very nice, spacious and clean apartment. Be sure to have Paulo explain how to use the washer/dryer. It is a single unit machine and we could only figure out how to wash. Just couldn't get the dryer to work. The apartment got a little noisy on Friday night even with the windows and interior doors closed. The apartment is in a busy, fun area with lots of partying over the weekend. The other days of the week were just fine. Overall a good experience in this well-located apartment.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

I stayed at this apartment in Chiado with my 2 college aged kids. The location is a perfect launching point for getting anywhere. There is lively excitement in the plaza in the evening and there are many shops and restaurants nearby. We were greeted immediately and felt very comfortable and safe. Taxis are available at the corner and the train is within walking distance. The apartment is very clean and cozy. I would absolutely stay here again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

An absolutely fantastic apartment-it's even better in real life than the photos! Huge, clean and in the best location for seeing all of Lisbon! Has a very secure entry and is quiet! Right next to a subway station and lots of shops, restaurants and bars! The number 28 tram stops right outside which is a great and cheap way to see the city! Great to have a kitchen for making breakfasts and popping back for lunch after a morning in the city! I have no idea why anyone would ever want to stay in a hotel again after staying in an apartment like this!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We are just ending a 6 night stay and have been so impressed. From the first contact with Paulo for the booking until our arrival and Sylvia's assistance, everything has gone smoothly. The apartment is in the best possible location-right near a trolley stop and the metro but it is also so easy to walk to all of the major sights downtown. The apartment is clean and well furnished. Although right on the square it was quiet at night with the windows closed and the A/C on. We really appreciated the A/C since it was hot in Lisbon while we were here. Great restaurants close by and a little market for juice, bread, etc. I can recommend very highly!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

This apartment is delightful. It's bright and spacious, well appointed, and perfectly situated for exploring Lisbon. We were received graciously on arrival and given a detailed tour of the premises, which were spotless. Our host welcomed us with a lovely bottle of wine and lot of information about what to do and see in the city. The apartment is located in the center of Lisbon, close to shopping, restaurants, and public transportation. We highly recommend this property for your stay in Lisbon. Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Selfishly I hate to let the word get out on this wonderful find because I’m afraid it won’t be available next time we want to go to Lisbon! From the first e-mail enquiry we sent to Paulo until the day we left Lisbon, this was one of the best apartment rental experiences we’ve ever had! All questions were answered promptly and thoroughly. When we landed in Lisbon, we called the number provided by Paulo. Miguel answered and met us at the apartment. Unfortunately, due to a transportation strike, it took us 45 minutes to get there via cab and Miguel was patiently waiting. He told us everything we needed to know about the apartment and was willing to stay and answer questions as long as we wanted. He gave us a number to call 24-hours a day for anything that we might need. We called the day before we left and his co-worker arranged for a taxi to the airport….which arrived right on time. The apartment is in a perfect, safe location. I enjoy getting out and taking long walks thru different neighborhoods so this was great. Tram 28 is just out side the front door. Metro is a 2-minute walk. Although the down escalators were never working and coming back up there are about 50 steps so this would have been hard to manage with baggage. We made good use of the Bica Elevator, Santa Justa Elevator and also the escalators in the Armazens do Chiado Mall at the end of Rua Garrett. It was so much fun to be on Praca Luis de Camoes with all the excitement day and night. The noise wasn’t a problem with the windows shut….not sure how it would be in warm weather. Shops and an ATM very close. On our first grocery shopping outing we went to the nearby store. After that we picked up items at the Pingo Doce at the Cais de Sodre station. It was much nicer with a larger selection and not as crowded. Once we even took the Metro to the El Corte Ingles at the top of Parque Eduardo VII. There’s also a nice food court there. The apartment itself is in a modern building with 2 elevators. We never had to wait for an elevator. The apartment is clean, large, bright and equipped with everything you need for a great stay and the pictures and description are truly accurate. The only downside was that adjusting the water was a little different than we are used to. But we learned not to run water anywhere when someone was in the shower. A very minor inconvenience. We just wish all apartment owners operated like Paulo!Owner response: Thanks for your kind words. Just a comment about the issue with the warm weather, the apartment has air conditioning, so it will not be a problem to have the window shut on the Summer time! Best regards, Paulo

What an absolutely wonderful apartment, centrally located, near all transportation, shops, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. We were in the apartment for a full two weeks, and I can honestly say that there was NOTHING lacking in the way of amenities in the apartment. We did not have a car, so that we relied on public transportation, and that was a breeze, once we tried the Metro, intra-city trains, buses, trams, ferries, etc. It was such a delightful experience that I would definitely, 100% recommend this apartment, with NO reservations!!!! Fantastic!!!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

The apartment was centrally located to all conveniences and beautifully furnished. It was so big and comfortable that even the bedroom had a large vestibule in which to store stuff. We no longer had to sleep with suitcases next to the bed as we had the previous weeks in hotels. Noise was not a problem as the double pane windows meant we could enjoy the street theater in the square below at night without having to hear it. I only regret we couldn't stay longer. Perhaps next time.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had a six night stay at this apt.-- and in our 3 week Portugal/Spain visit, this was our favourite spot! The apt.was very spacious, the location overlooks a lovely square in the quaintest part of Lisbon, and the restaurants and shops in the streets just behind us were wonderful. Miguel, who met us outside and showed us around the place, was very helpful and made us feel at home right from the start. The apt. itself is well equipped, VERY well situated, and overall,we had a fabulous experience here. Lisbon was the third city we visited as part of our European trip, and boy did it not disappoint! The city was beautiful. We saw both the modern and "old" part of the city and we enjoyed them tremendously. This apt. was perfect for our family of 3. It gave us the most bang for our buck. Plenty of space all around (the bathroom was really nice!), washer/dryer a plus, very clean and so convenient to sites, great restaurants, grocery, ATM. Taxi is very cheap in Lisbon. It cost about 6+ euros to get us to the airport. We hope to be back soon and would stay here again in a heartbeat.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Wonderful apartment and fabulous time in Lisbon. The apartment is lovely, very clean, well kept, professionally managed, and in a prime location. Perfect. The only complaint is they were a bit too good. We left for a day and half and the cleaning staff tossed our food out of the refrigerator. Who can blame them. That is their job! It was all great. We had a fabulous time. The managing agent and the owner of the apartment are responsive, professional, and full of hospitality. Enjoy!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Apartment was fabulous, extremely spacious, decorated to a high standard and well equiped. We have a small child and there was/is an inner hallway between the lounge and bedroom - this was handly as he could sleep in his cot in this area and we didn't have to have him in the room with us. The 28 Tram (well worth a trip) is right outside the door and the elevator lift is only a block or so away. Great location, would highly recommend!Did you find this review helpful? We stayed for ~10 days in Paulo's apartment. The apartment is at the north-west corner of the Praça Luis de Camões piazza. As mentioned by others, it is in a very good location close to the tram line (right outside) and the metro subway (1 block away). The post office is also in the square on the west side. While the south side of the square is the Barrio Alta Hotel (member of the great little hotels in the world). The apartment itself is very spacious and kept very clean. The kitchen is better equipped than many vacation apartments we have rented. The nice touch is the many maps, guide books, brochures left by previous occupants. We definitely would stay there again and would prefer that area to the Rossio area which is considered more central and more touristy, because of the small restaurents, grocery stores etc. in the Chiado area.Did you find this review helpful? The apartment was large and bright and very comfortable. It was convenient to all forms of transportation and particularly, to excellent restaurants and cafes right around the corner. If you are into nightlife, then visit this area friday or saturday night for the Lisbon scene. This area is a big hangout for young Lisboans as well as tourists. Lisbon is a wonderful city with an excellent transportation system and we used buses, trolleys, the metro, as well as taxis and the the commuter train. We also had sufficient time to visit Cascais, Belem, and Sintra. The people were very friendly and some went out of there way to assist us when we asked for directions or which line to use on ther metro. I could not imagine having a better time in any other city in Europe. The only negative is that the location is noisy being on the Praca, particularly on the weekend. Luckily, we took earplugs which worked beautifully.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Hello Paulo, I'm writing you for thanking you and letting you know how much we enjoyed our stay in your apartment. Lisboa is a magnificent and charming city and your apartment is absolutely perfect. We all felt home as soon as we came in and we were really sorry at our departure. The apartment is comfortable, well furnished, very conveniently situated, full of air and light. I probably will send you other guests because some friend of ours are coming to Lisboa next July and are asking your address. My boys enjoyed so much being in the very heart of the city ! The young man who welcame us at the apartment by the Agency was absolutely nice and was a good introduction to Lisboa. As I wrote in your guest book at the apartment ( I wanted to write in Italian because we undestood we were the only Italian guests you had had !)we hope to welcome you in the same warm way you did, so we hope to meet you in Lucca . We will absolutely come back soon. Once again thank you Lella and familyDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We spent 2 weeks in the apartment in Lisbon and thought it was absolutely great. We were welcomed warmly, the apartment is beautiful, extremely spacious, fitted out with everything one could possibly want and in a perfect position to explore the city. We have been travelling through Europe for a long time, and this is the best apartment we´ve had. Highly recommend it to anyone.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, spacious apartment. We found it very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The famous Tram 28 stops right outside, and the metro is only yards away. The wonderful restaurants of the Bairro Alto are all walking distance. We would recommend this apartment very highly.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We spent a couple of days sightseeing in Lisbon and stayed at this wonderful apartment. It is situated in a fantastic location with trams, buses and metro stop very close by. There are some fantastic restaurants and bars and everybody is very friendly. The apartment itself is very spacious, clean and well equiped. We would also recommend taking the train down to the coast as we spent a very enjoyable afternoon and evening there. We will definately be making a return visit and would hope to stay here again. Many thanks - JayneDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We stayed in the apartment for 5 weeks and found it very conveniently located and spacious and even though the temperature was cool outside the underfloor heating kept everything at a perfect temperature. It was great to have transport literally at our doorstep and fun to watch the ebb and flow of life in the square below. A big plus for us was the broadband connection for the laptop which made it so easy to keep in touch as well as the wide range of English speaking channels available on the TV. We had a great time and walked our legs off exploring in all directions. Totally recommend.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this apartment. We arrived by train from Porto and were able to make full use of public transportation to and from Paulo's well-appointed and convenient apartment. The 28 tram was an added bonus, but there are plenty of affordable restaurants within walking distance. Despite some closings for the Christmas season the streets and shops were lively, and we found plenty to keep us occupied. No wonder everyone raves about their stay in Lisboa! Go and enjoy!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We have just spent a week in this beautifully appointed apartment. The location is perfect and one can ask for nothing more in any holiday home. We received a very warm welcome on our arrival, and will certainly recommend apartment Camoes to our friends.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Viajamos desde Madrid a principios de Agosto 2007 y pasamos 4 días maravillosos en Lisboa en este apartamento. No pudimos elegir mejor opción!!! Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Thanks Paulo! We fell in love with Lisboa, largely because of your beautiful apartment and its ideal location. This was the last of our four week trip to Spain and Portugal, and it was like icing on a very delicious cake. We will be back! The apartment was fantastic. We had stayed the night before at a fancy hotel near Parque Eduardo VII but found the location of the apartment to be much more interesting and energizing. We all found Lisbon to be a fabulous city and all of us felt that the apartment contributed to our unexpected delight in our surroundings.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
