Peaceful and private setting situated on five acres, on Barter's Island in the Boothbay Harbor Region. From the large screened-in porch watch the lobstermen tend their traps or playful colonies of puffins or sea birds. Catch the seals as they pop their heads above the surface of the water or the spectacular sunrises. Enjoy nature at its best!

We have 615 feet of riverfront property. Right around the corner (tip of Barter's Island) is the Sheepscott River and then the Atlantic Ocean. At low tide there are mud flats for playing, digging worms for fishing and other adventures. Use your own or rented canoe, or boat from the dock or jump right into the water and swim. The deep-water dock and private mooring are ready for your use.
This cozy, comfortable home with post and beam construction, offers four bedrooms, living room, dining area, plus breakfast/game table with a well-equipped kitchen. One bedroom is downstairs and part of a Master Bedroom suite, the other three bedrooms are upstairs with one king sized bed and 4 twin beds (two in each of 2 rooms). Over 2100 square feet of living space.
Relax and enjoy the views from this spacious fully-equipped home. There is also a large screened in porch looking out over the river. This provides a great place for just relaxing, reading a book, or eating on the picnic table. All this privacy and yet just minutes away from Boothbay Harbor, its shops and activities.
We have two 13 foot kayaks and a canoe for use by our renters. In addition, rental canoes and boats are available locally and can be delivered to the house. Boats can be conveniently launched and used from the cottage's mooring or dock.

We just loved the house! There really wasn't anything I would change. It has to be the best house that we have stayed at (we have rented housed for about 10 years now)! It had everything we needed and more. The kayaks were great. We are seriously considering renting it again next year at the same time....
