Twin Bridges lodge description
LARGE, Family Cabin right ON THE RIVER, by Sierra At Tahoe or snowmobile right out the front door. You can walk to the ski slopes if you are an experienced skier. Our lodge is tucked away, not far off Highway 50 with only 5 other privately owned cabins on our cul-da-sac road. Our road and driveway are plowed in the winter. There are endless hiking areas, sleding right next to the cabin and loads of wintertime fun!!!
We are also right on the South Fork of the American RIVER with 170 ft. of river frontage. During the summer, it is incredible to sit by the water and relax in a hammock or relaxing lounge chair.
As far as furnishings, the downstairs is all wood and decorated with a 'fishing' room (king bed) and 'ski' room (double bed). Upstairs is freshly painted and decorated with a 'moose (queen bed), deer (king bed-master), and bear (2 twins and 2 doubles)' room for the kids. We have replaced the living room furniture (summer 09) and the master bedroom furniture and queen furniture upstairs)
We have a great kitchen with full appliances and a huge dining room table. Great for a family gathering for eating or hanging out by the fireplace in our large living room and watch the snow fall.
The cabin is great in any season and Lake Tahoe is only about ten minutes down the hill. We are five miles from Strawberry Lodge. The cabin is away from the crowded downtown area, but close enough to be there in minutes. Our location is awesome for Sierra At Tahoe, 1.5 miles from the entrance.
We are in a heavy snow area during the winter, so you may need four-wheel drive and or chains. Cabin will need to be left clean as found, minimal cleaning available. You can bring your own sheets, if you want, so you don't have to do the linens before you leave.

I have stayed in this lovely cabin with my family and we really enjoyed it. It has anything you need to have a great time. It is very well equipped, with the perfect balance between modern amenities and a charming rustic getaway. location is perfect, for anyone who wants to ski . The forested views from the bedrooms are totally magical day and night. We strongly recommend this place. Thank you Barbi .

Love for the Boyle Lodge
Love for the Boyle Lodge
We have stayed at The Boyle Lodge many many times. Why do we go back? Because it feels like home. We go both winter and summer. People who only go for the skiing in the winter are missing out on all that is offered so close to this location during the summer months. Some days the kids never leave the backyard because of the steam. Some days the parents never leave the backyard because of the hammocks. The owners have always been wonderfull to work with.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day stay at the Boyle Ranch. The cabin is huge. 15 of us fit quite comfortably; each family had their own room. Plenty of snow for the little kids; big kids went up to Sierra Ski around the corner. We brought a Wii and played games in front of the wood burner in the living room. The small store at Strawberry had the provisions we forgot. We're looking forward to a summer visit. Great place to stay! Thanks.

I came up with my husband, my brother and his wife, and several friends. Everyone was comfortable in their own rooms. We got to have some fun with the first snow of the season while we were there. Comfy and affordable. It was a great time.

This cabin is very spacious with room for everyone. The creekside location was perfect for outdoor play and relaxation and looked like the best one in the area with a small beach and away from the highway. Just down HWY 50 is a great area to hike, Horsetail Falls. We would recommend it for those who enjoy a rustic, quiet getaway.

The cabin was incredibly dirty. There were mice droppings in the cabinets where the cooking supplies were kept. The air was dusty and the windows were covered in spider webs. The windows lack screens, so you can't open them up without bugs flying in. We couldn't walk around anywhere without shoes (feet turned black from the dirt). The furniture was generally in disrepair. I would not recommend renting here.

Owner response: We are very sorry that this guest was dissapointed in our wonderful, Rustic and very charming cabin....we have had many wonderful reviews of the cabin including the guests that moved in the afternoon after this guest left. They called us to say that they loved the cabin and setting and could they rent another night. Many of our guests come year after year to stay. We have had the same property manager for years, that cleans the cabin and checks it between every guest. Most of our living room furniture and most of the bedrooms have new furniture within the last year. We also have new carpeting upstairs. I am sorry that this guest choose to bring up some items that just aren't true and not bring up so many of the positives. We will have to suggest for this guest that there is an Embasy Suites that usually has rooms, that might be more suited for what they are looking for
I have to say this was our first time going to a cabin experience and it the best trip ever, everything that was listed on their web page is accurate and more, we went with two other families and their children and let me say Sierra at Tahoe is about a mile away and we did not even want to go there. The Boyle's cabin had more snow than we wished for, plus a cozy living room with a large variety of movies and board games, we just rather play games, watch movies and play in the snow by day.everyone loved the nice clean and very warm cabin. We have made a commitment to go there every year and enjoy a wonderful cabin, you will not be disappointed at all especially your children at the end it's all about them. Thanks so much to the Boyle's for being so helpful and for making this trip unforgettable.

WE ENJOYED AN EXTENDED HOLIDAY STAY AT THE BOYLE LODGE. VERY CONVENIENT FOR MULTIPLE GENERATIONS OF A FAMILY. THE LITTLE ONES LOVED THE "LAKE" IN THE BACKYARD. THE PARENTS APPRECIATED THAT THE RIVER IS MEANDERING AND SAFE FOR THEM TO PLAY IN. GRANDPARENTS LOVED SWINGING IN THE HAMMOCK WITH BABY. GREAT HOME BASE TO RETURN TO AFTER A DAY AT CAMP RICHARDSON. WE ARE ALREADY TALKING OF NEXT SUMMERS STAY.

The Boyle River Lodge was everything we were looking for our winter vaca. The home is more than a cabin, very spacious and comfortable. Our kids loved how close Sierra At Tahoe was,and we the parents loved the snow play versatility. We have used VRBO frequently, and the Boyle's have been the most professional owners we have rented from. Dont hesitate staying here, ( as long as its not when were re-booking, j.k.) You will love this place The Noceti's

My husband and I and our 7 year old stayed with 2 other families with children in February 2008. It was a wonderful cabin for winter snow play. The backyard was big enough for the children to make a snow fort and have plenty of time for snow play. We had a winter storm the weekend we stayed but we felt very secure with the warm fireplace, and heater worked fine throughout the lodge. Plenty of board games and videos stocked in the lodge to keep us all occupied. We are planning a return trip winter 2009. Looking forward to making more great memories.

About the owner: My husband and I own and operate Boyle Ranch, a Reining Horse show horse barn in Ione, Ca. Barbi is also a Real Estate Agent in Sutter Creek, Ca. We have two children and we all show horses competitively thru out the US.
Why the Owner Chose Twin Bridges:
We purchased our vacation rental in this area because we wanted to have a place to go that was great in the winter, was close to a Ski Resort (Sierra at Tahoe) and also a fabulous place in the summer (170 foot of South Fork of the American River). We spent a year trying to get the owner to sell to us and finally was able to complete the purchase. We also wanted to be away from the Casino's and have some privacy, but close enough (15 mins) to be able to go there if we wanted to. We truely found Location Location Location.
The Unique Benefits at this Lodge:
Our cabin is large, peaceful and a wonderful place if you like snow or you want to be in the forest in the summer/spring. It is close to Highway 50, for convienence, but also very, very, private. Great hiking, Horsetail Falls and Echo Lakes are very close and a must see. You can hike to Camp Sacramento for dinner in the summer or sit out by the river at night and listen to the water go by. We especially like sitting in a hammock and reading a book.
