Location: Twin Bridges, Sierra at Tahoe, Lake Tahoe South Shore CA, Lake Tahoe California, California, USA (1.5 miles from Sierra At Tahoe right by Horsetail Falls) View Map

Accommodations:  Large Cabin, 5 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths (Sleeps 12-14)

LARGE, Family Cabin right by Sierra At Tahoe or snowmobile right out the front door. You can walk to the ski slopes if you are an experienced skier. Our lodge is tucked away, not far off Highway 50 with only 5 other privately owned cabins on our cul-da-sac road. Our road and driveway are plowed in the winter. There are endless hiking areas, sleding right next to the cabin and loads of wintertime fun!!!

We are also right on the South Fork of the American RIVER with 170 ft. of river frontage. During the summer, it is incredible to sit by the water and relax in a hammock or relaxing lounge chair.

As far as furnishings, the downstairs is all wood and decorated with a "fishing" room (king bed) and "ski" room (double bed). Upstairs is freshly painted and decorated with a "moose (queen bed), deer (king bed-master), and bear (2 twins and 2 doubles)" room for the kids.

We have a great kitchen with full appliances and a huge dining room table. Great for a family gathering for eating or hanging out by the fireplace in our large living room and watch the snow fall.

The cabin is great in any season and Lake Tahoe is only about ten minutes down the hill. We are five miles from Strawberry Lodge. The cabin is away from the crowded downtown area, but close enough to be there in minutes. Our location is awesome for Sierra At Tahoe, 1.5 miles from the entrance.

We are in a heavy snow area during the winter, so you may need four-wheel drive and or chains. Cabin will need to be left clean as found, minimal cleaning available.

Why the Owner Chose Twin Bridges

We purchased our vacation rental in this area because we wanted to have a place to go that was great in the winter, was close to a Ski Resort (Sierra at Tahoe) and also a fabulous place in the summer (170 foot of South Fork of the American River). We spent a year trying to get the owner to sell to us and finally was able to complete the purchase. We also wanted to be away from the Casino's and have some privacy, but close enough (15 mins) to be able to go there if we wanted to. We truely found Location Location Location.

The Unique Benefits at this Large Cabin

Our cabin is large, peaceful and a wonderful place if you like snow or you want to be in the forest in the summer/spring. It is close to Highway 50, for convienence, but also very, very, private. Great hiking, Horsetail Falls and Echo Lakes are very close and a must see. You can hike to Camp Sacramento for dinner in the summer or sit out by the river at night and listen to the water go by. We especially like sitting in a hammock and reading a book.

    • WE ENJOYED AN EXTENDED HOLIDAY STAY AT THE BOYLE LODGE. VERY CONVENIENT FOR MULTIPLE GENERATIONS OF A FAMILY. THE LITTLE ONES LOVED THE "LAKE" IN THE BACKYARD. THE PARENTS APPRECIATED THAT THE RIVER IS MEANDERING AND SAFE FOR THEM TO PLAY IN. GRANDPARENTS LOVED SWINGING IN THE HAMMOCK WITH BABY. GREAT HOME BASE TO RETURN TO AFTER A DAY AT CAMP RICHARDSON. WE ARE ALREADY TALKING OF NEXT SUMMERS STAY.

    • The Boyle River Lodge was everything we were looking for our winter vaca. The home is more than a cabin, very spacious and comfortable. Our kids loved how close Sierra At Tahoe was,and we the parents loved the snow play versatility. We have used VRBO frequently, and the Boyle's have been the most professional owners we have rented from. Dont hesitate staying here, ( as long as its not when were re-booking, j.k.) You will love this place The Noceti's

    • My husband and I and our 7 year old stayed with 2 other families with children in February 2008. It was a wonderful cabin for winter snow play. The backyard was big enough for the children to make a snow fort and have plenty of time for snow play. We had a winter storm the weekend we stayed but we felt very secure with the warm fireplace, and heater worked fine throughout the lodge. Plenty of board games and videos stocked in the lodge to keep us all occupied. We are planning a return trip winter 2009. Looking forward to making more great memories.

    • We had a wonderful time at your cabin. The large house easily accomodated 2 large families plus our dog. We hiked and swam at Horsetail Falls, Echo Lake, Angora Lakes and they were all easily accessible. We were blessed with terrific weather. The only regret is a lack of space to dine outdoors, but since you're fixing the deck, hopefully that'll happen now.

      Homeowner Response:
YES, we are replacing the old deck with NEW!! However, you can also walk to the river right in the backyard and eat at the table and chairs there....it is wonderful dining by the river and totally private.

    • We stayed at the cabin on the lake for a climbing trip to Lover's Leap. It was a delightfully decorated, clean and warm place not 5 minutes from our climbing routes. The living room is charming and we enjoyed the video and game collections. It slept 14 comfortably and when we spaced out our showers we all got hot water. The kitchen is spacious and had everything we needed to make all our meals. Too bad it was snowy, the hammock and chair set out back was pretty comfy and had a nice view of the river.

    • We had a GREAT time! Mostly we just lounged around the river and house. Your house is definitely the nicest place in the neighborhood. I loved the back yard and river. And the layout of the house works really well. We had 5 adults and 2 teenagers and there was plenty of privacy but also plenty of together time. There was some really nice hiking very close by. Our favorite was a hike up to Horsetail Falls along Pyramid Creek. We could definitely see ourselves going back again. I've already told lots of friends about how great the place was and what fun we had. Good luck with the cabin and thanks.

    • We were pleased in every way with the cabin. We used all 5 bedrooms and appreciated the privacy for each of our adult children and their children. The fireplace in the living room was nice in the morning and evening, even in July, as well as the gas stove in the kitchen. The cabin is on the river, a pleasant place to rest at the table, in one of the many lounging chairs or in one of the hammocks. Even fish to catch as well as squirrels, chipmunks, bluejays and woodpeckers to watch. Games to play, videos to watch and MOST IMPORTANTLY, no TV. Wonderful!

      Homeowner Response:
Thank you, there is TV, just no cable, but lots of movies!

    • We had a great stay at the Boyle house. We were 4 adults, 2 infants (11 mo's) and 2 toddlers (2.75 yrs). They were able to navigate around the house without incident. We had all the amenities of home (even king beds) and the fire heated living space gave our trip a great rustic feel. We toboganed right outside the house, so we didn't have to go far for fun in the snow. We'll be back. Thanks Barbi and Mike.

    • 4 adults and 4 kids spent Labor Day at this cabin and had a blast! The seating outside by the creek was idyllic, with birds chirping, squirrels running by, and the water. The inside of the cabin is roomy and very cute, with more than enough room for all of us! Well worth the money, we want to return this winter!
