This was our 5th time to visit Hawaii and our third visit to the island of Kauai. This was by far the best located condo that we have stayed in to date. The condo is just a stroll from Poipu Beach which is one of the best winter snorkling beaches on the island. It is a real treat to be able to sit on your upstairs lanai and watch the sun set over the Pacific. Wish I were still there today.

I have been renting from vrbo for a couple of decades and most properties leave out a few of the "details"that usually are important, not so with Stacey and her Honu Kai rental. She was extremely helpful very pleasant and easy to talk to. She accomedated our last minute requests and made sure that our stay was as promised. The villa itself was as described and the pictures shown are accurate we toured the island both by car and air and the location on hte south side was perfect for our needs (scubadiving). The area is quiet and extremely safe we were never concerned with gear left drying out on the lanai,or in the pool area, yet the various beaches and resturants were just a short walk away.Mahalo Stacey i know we will be back !!!!

This is the second time that I've stayed at Honu Kai Villa's and I have to say, I'm very satisfied. I don't know anywhere where you can get an absolutely beautiful Villa on one of the best beaches in the world with all the amenities for such a great price. It has everything someone could need for any length of stay, including a world class view. There is a beauty and energy that is unmatched in Poipu Beach and it was easily complimented by the Villa. And on an island like Kauai it really makes a difference to have a true custom "home" to venture back to after exploring the island. In the evenings we sat on the balcony and watched sea turtles in the water. It was one of the best trips I have taken. Very clean, comfortable and relaxing accommodations, an adventurous island, and a perfect location. None of us wanted to leave, but we all agreed to come back and do it again.

We could not be happier to have found this condo on vrbo! We have been to the Poipu are several times and our favorite beach is Poipu beach. We could easily walk to this and Brennecke's beach from this condo. My kids loved watching the turtles swim in the ocean just in front of the condo! As parents, we loved the sunset views and hearing the crash of the waves from the master bedroom. The condo was clean (inside and out) and was accurately depicted on the website, with the exception that it is really set up to sleep 4 in beds. A padded mat was provided for the 5th person, which worked fine for my 4 year old. The heated pool, jacuzzi and outdoor shower were a nice addition for us at the end of each day. Some of our favorites this trip were a zodiac boat ride around the Napali Coast, ATV rides with Kauai ATV (expensive though since they charge the same price for a child as an adult, and eating at TomKats in Koloa. The condo owner was very friendly and helpful. We will be back again!

We just LOVED our stay in the Honu Kai villa in Kauai. You were right - it is hard to get any closer to the waterfront and the beaches. The location is very very nice. It is a very short stroll to the beaches where we could boogie board and snorkel. The villa was very nicely maintained and really well stocked with all the tools and utensils one could need. The best of the stay for us was sitting early mornings in the lanai with a coffee in hand and watching the waves. Every so often we saw turtles, whales and dolphins from right outside our villa. We loved it so much that we are already planning another visit next year. If any of our friends/aquaintances are going to Kauai, we will definitely give them your contact information... Thanks for letting us stay there!

Thank you Stacey for letting us use your beautiful home. We have used a few different vrbo places and we have to say that with your place the pictures on line do not do it justice!!!!We loved the deck off the master bedroom ,we watched the sunset from there mostnights. We hope to be back again next year if all goes as planned. You really do have a little piece of paradise. What we enjoyed the absolute most from our stay in Poipu last year was YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY ROOSTERS IN YOUR BACK YARD CROWING AT ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT. seriously that was our best surprise!!!! thanks again and talk to you soon!!!

Hi Stacey, Michele and I just want to thank you again for giving us the deal on your Villa. We really loved it. It had everything we could have wanted and more. We were already talking about returning there sometime soon. And the location is perfect. Although I had to leave a night early for business, we did get to hike the Na Pali coast for a few miles...incredible. We also found a great hike in your trail book that is past the Grand Hyatt that goes along the coast. It was really beautiful. Also went snorkeling near your place and at Tunnel Beach (both were great), and many other nice things. It's an amazing island. We hope to stay there again!

Mahalo, Stacey! May I please book most of March of 2011 here? It's going to be longer than 22 nights, though I'm not sure how much longer yet... but right now, I'm thinking March 2 - 31. Of all the places I've stayed on Poipu, your home has become my favorite. We love the pool and hottub. But, I can't say enough about the location... as you know. I can walk to so many places! From Brenneke's to the beaches, to my friends home in the neighborhood east of Pe'e road... Ahhh, life is so good here.

Our vacation to Kauai was wonderful! It seems we've been adapting to the time change since our return but I did intend to e-mail you. Your villa was spectacular. The views of the ocean were postcard perfect. We took advantage of the full kitchen and the laundry that was available. The sleeping arrangements went well with my Mom and kids sleeping in the 2nd bedroom. We also enjoyed the pool. We felt it was "ours" as there was only one other villa occupied at the time we were there and we typically had the pool to ourselves! We saw MANY sea turtles and, if my count is correct, 10 seal monks. We enjoyed the many sightseeing trips such as the Waimea Canyon, the North shore lighthouse, Spouting horn. My brother's wedding at the Hyatt was lovely. There were 19 in our group so it made for a fun time! We would definitely recommend your villa to our Wisconsin friends planning a trip to Kauai. In the future we will keep your information handy when planning our next Hawaiian vacation!

Stacey, Sharon and I want to thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful villa and giving us the family discount. We are so glad Kim told us about it when she heard we were going to Kauai. It was such a comfortable place to stay and the location was perfect. We were the only ones there for most of our stay. I loved sitting on the patio outside the master bedroom looking out at the ocean. The sunsets were spectacular. I'm not one to lay around and relax when on vacation. We did a lot of scuba diving. Seasport divers were great. The best snorkeling spot I've ever been to was by the Beach House. Massive amounts of fish with excellent visibility. Helicopter ride which was awesome. The Na Pali coast is just spectacular as is Waimea Canyon. We drove up to the lookout at Waimea Canyon. We made two trips to Princeville where we went zip lining, horseback riding, hiking, snorkeling at Tunnels beach and swimming at Hanalei. Hanalei beach was the best beach we went to for swimming because the waves were not too strong and there were no rocks to contend with. The boogyboarding beach was amazing. Great waves. We went tubing in the irrigation ditches and tunnels at the plantation. We visited Glass beach (very little glass there though) and Spouting Horn. And we also squeezed in jumping off Kipu Falls. Even Sharon jumped. The pizza at Bick Oven Pizza in Kalaheo was one of the best we've ever had!! Thank you again. We definitely want to go back. It was the best vacation we've ever had. Kauai has become our favorite Hawaiian island.
