We enjoyed our stay at PVQ very much indeed! The apartment we rented was clean, spacious, comfortable and the outside area had a grill, a patio and a pool close by to cool off in after spending our day exploring Panama City & its surroundings. We used cabs drivers to get around the area & there always seemed to be one close by when we either left the area or were coming back to it. The staff at PVQ was professional, friendly & efficient. Our thanks to all of them!

The PVQ was as described on the website. It was very clean and staff was very helpful and friendly. We fed monkeys in the backyard and enjoyed the pool and gazebo. We used the grill to cook a meal of fish caught on a day of fishing on the canal. The location on Ancon Hill is beautiful and we enjoyed the walk up the hill in the morning. It was easy to catch a cab to other parts of the city. We saw lots of birds in the yard as well as the monkeys, cats and the agouti. Thanks PVQ for a great vacation

the 4bedroom apartment with the spaceous living room and ok-kitchen is ideal for big families like ours with 8 adults. the position of the house at a blind street on a hill provides enough silence during day and night. though Panama City is nearby you still can relaxe in the garden and take a swim or a nap. for us it was the perfect starting point for all kind of visits and excursions to the city, the canals and the forests. the very adequate help of Karolina for all kind of questions and problems gives it the final push.

Karolina and her staff were simply the best. Everything we wanted was taking care of by Karolina, from groceries, and a ride to and from the airport. We will stay here every year we travel to Panama City.

My sisters and I stayed in this condo and the studio directly below for a week in February, 2012. We had planned the trip for over a year and Bob was very helpful in arranging for us to book exactly the accommodations that we wanted. He was easy to work with. The condo is large and nicely furnished with everything we needed. The daily cleaner kept it spick and span. For us, the location was perfect -- within a short ride of everything that we wanted to see and do in Panama. Because we had lived in the Canal Zone as girls, we had some specific places we wanted to see again and we were perfectly located. Karolina arranged everything for us and was a terrific source of information for all of our questions. She was always available and relaxed and her advice was always good. She arranged for some groceries to be stocked in advance and for the cook-in service, which we highly recommend. We used it four times: on the evening of our arrival and on days when we had long excursions. On one night when the lady was not cooking for us, we grilled steaks and had a lovely dinner in the gazebo. We never went to a restaurant nor felt that we needed to. Karolina also arranged for a taxi driver (who also had a van) to be available to us for the whole week if we needed him. It was perfect. Gabriel quickly became integrated into our group and was invaluable in getting us to good places for lunch, good shopping areas, and to the places on our Memory Lane. He did not speak English but we had a Spanish speaker in the group so it worked out well. Gabriel picked us up at the airport on arrival and took us back at the end of the week. We booked our excursions through Karolina and she chose excellent ones. On our half-day canal cruise, we could see from similar boats around us that ours was better arranged for viewing and moving around and had fewer passengers. The food was very good, too. And we loved our day at the Embara indigenous village. In all cases, we had good guides. Gabriel was also a flexible and inventive guide for us. We would highly recommend this property and this experience, and we would do it all again ourselves. We felt well cared for but not hovered over and everyone we came in contact with was friendly and helpful. Karolina and Gabriel contributed especially to the great quality of our long-anticipated vacation.

I have stayed at PVC 4 or 5 times at least. I've stayed in the large one with 5 family members once and the other times with 1 or 2 other friends. It is always very well maintained and my stays have been the most pleasant. Karolina goes out of her way to assist you. A big help is that the housekeepers will do your laundry for $5 and return the next day.

I want to say thank you to the staff at the Panama Vacation Quarters for making our eleven day stay in the country very relaxing & stress-free! We stayed in a four bedroom/2.5 bath apartment which was great for our 9 person group. The location of the apartments is ideal since it's in the middle of the old Canal Zone and the City. We appreciated the peace and quiet while enjoying the pool and hammocks outside!! The walk up to ancon Hill is a must see as you can see the City skyline, which is gorgeous at night!! It was very nice to have Karolina as an English-speaking resource during our stay. She was great! The maid service and maintenance service was also wonderful! They were very nice and our needs were handled daily! We appreciated the laundry service. It was wonderful to have the WiFi service and sky TV too!! And the use of a Panama cell phone was so ideal as we used this during our stay to contact our drivers without having to use our us cell phones. What a great service! Our group would highly recommend this location to anyone wanting to visit Panama! We will definitely stay there again during our next visit. Kuddos to the staff and owners for being so helpful in reserving the apartment and also making our vacation so enjoyable! Thank you!!

I want to personally thank Bob and Karolina for their tremendous support as we stayed at PVQ during for 8 days. We had a group of 17 and we utilized two four bedroom condos. The owner was incredible and stayed in contact with us up until arrival. Then Karolina took over and if there was anything we needed she gladly made it happen. The property is on Ancon Hill. A short walk to the top and you get breathtaking views of Old Panama, the new Panama City plus a great view of the Canal area. The condo's were perfect for us after a long day at work. The bedrooms were spacious, the bathrooms large with tile everywhere, and the kitchen and living area were great. The pool was refreshing at the end of the day and the grills in the back under the tiki huts were utilized for some great barbeques a couple nights during the week. You are just five minutes from the Armador Causeway with a beautiful view of the skyline of the city. Simply put, PVQ is in the center of everything. Thank you again and when we come back, PVQ is the place.

I have stayed in a lot of places in Panama, but the PVQ is the best, best location, best value, best service. Karolina and her staff have been so accommodating, its the little things they do at the PVQ that made my vacation so enjoyable..... having a cell phone for the unit, in house laundry service, full kitchen and Wi-Fi. The gas grill was a great help for our fresh fish one night. I can't say enough.

My family (including an 8 and 5 year old) recently stayed at PVQ in a studio apartment for a week. There was plenty of room for us all to stay comfortably. The kitchenette was well-equiped with a microwave, toaster oven, and double-burner hot plate. The facility and grounds were very clean and manicured. The location could not have been better! Ancon hill—further up is a great view of the canal and city, down the hill is Napoli pizza (famous among the Pacific Zonians!). You can also walk to the Administration Building and the town of Balboa (Niko’s café for ice cream!). We would definitely stay here again. Everyone was so helpful and friendly at PVQ; and, we loved its location.

The 4 bedroom 21/2 bath was [perfect for our group of 5. I was born in the Canal Zone and brought my Duke Collage classmates to see my “home”. Everything was perfect for us, and we loved every minute of our journey. The location on Ancon Hill was good to get wherever we needed to go. The limo driver was wonderful to help us to and from the Airport. Mrs. Karolina was fabulous to assist us in any way possible. Housekeeping was terrific. We really enjoyed PVQ! Thanks to everyone!

Our group of 7 rented an apartment and the lower efficiency aptartment for a two week stay in mid-January. Having both apartments gave us great access to the outside through the shared stairs and a back door in the lower unit. The outdoor grill was a treat to use in January to cook our fresh fish, shrimp or lobster! The staff kept everything stocked, clean and maintained--even with a water main breaking we had water. There was wonderful service from the staff. Karolina was there to make arrangements for what we needed and a great resource for whatever we wanted to know. Joaquin, the gardener, kept the grounds up and was very helpful in showing us where the wildlife could be found, sometimes in our own backyard. The amenities provided by the maid staff were just as they were described in the listing. It was great to have someone available to take care of laundry and cleaning while we were out sight-seeing. Our two weeks there were most relaxing and we felt well cared for. We would definitely go back again and use the PVQ as the home base for our adventures in the area including the hike to the top of Ancon Hill. It was quite a walk but very much worth the view of both oceans when you got to the top. The pool/gazebo area were a welcome place to relax for several in our group when we got back to the apartments. The pictures in the listing show how the apartment and grounds looked very accurately. It's a great place to stay for families and groups of friends. PVQ was our choice because two in our group have stayed there several times while including their children and grandchildren. They were so right to recommend it to us!

We really enjoyed our trip to Panama, loved the location of our rental property and all the amenities. The place is clean and well maintained. The only complaint was that the pool was in disrepair. The on-site staff was trying to fix this but due to Panamanian holidays they couldn't find a repairman. We asked for a discount and instead got an offer to cover the costs of entrance to a public pool. That just didn't seem to be a viable option. We wanted a house with a pool, not the same sort of public pool we can get at home. Honestly we selected this property because of the location and the pool. It was disappointing but the pool was fixed in the last two days of our vacation.

Panama Vacation Quarters is the place to stay while visiting Panama City and the Canal area. We were a group of three middle aged couples traveling to Panama for the first time. We found this apartment on the internet and decided right away that this was where we wanted to stay. The 4 bedroom 2 1/2 bath property is exactly as described. Location, Location, and Location. Oh and by the way Karolina, Delia and Joaquin are very very good at what they do. Thank You Karolina for saving us many times when our taxi was not there. The cell phone that comes with the unit comes in good for this. Bob, Karolina thanks so much for your very professional operation

Outstanding, roomy and clean accommodations on Ancon Hill, a veritable garden of delight. Safely tucked away yet minutes from all the sights....Miraflores Locks, Gamboa, Old Town, Causeway, Amador. Super amenities with stupendous flowers, monkeys, toucans, hummingbirds that are literally in your backyard. Staff speaks English and will help with any advice, directions, etc. A hike up Ancon Hill reveals the skyline of Panama City and more. The huge flag on the summit means you can always find your way home! A car was helpful, but taxis can be easily called. It was a perfect home from which to practice Dog Meets World, the photo diplomacy project (www.dogmeetsworld.org). We wouldn't stay anywhere in Panama.

Panama Vacation Quarters (PVQ) is best place to stay in Panama! PVQ staff was super-friendly and helpful during our 1-week stay. Karolina (on-site manager) was always ready to help. The accommodations were above our expectations. Everything was very clean. The common area was very quiet and clean. The use of the common area grill (wow! what a grill) made it easy to cook all the fish we caught. The PVQ provided cellphone was OUTSTANDING! We used it routinely to call taxi drivers, make fishing arrangements, and calls to local restaurants. Not much within walking distance, but restaurants, casinos, and nightlife were all within 5-10 minute taxi ride. While in Panama, we went on two deep-sea fishing trips: First trip was on a boat called PLAYMATE. Kind of pricey (just under $2,000 for the day) , but this was a real 48-foot yacht! AC/television/beds/kitchen … Caught lots of Dorado! Boat had an engine problem on way back… Second trip was on a very FAST boat that took us out nearly 70-miles from Panama. CAPT Bill was great! Speaks English and really knows fishing. This cost $1500 for the day. No frills fishing, but really worth it if you are serious! Caught Tuna, Dorado, Amberjack. Website below:

Hi Bob, On behalf of all of us (8 middle age guys), I wanted to express our extreme delight with our stay at PVQ. From the decor of the apartments (2 4bedrooms) and the great personal service we received from Karolina and the housekeeping staff. We felt like we were at home away from home. You thought of everything. We cooked everyday and there was no pot or kitchen utensil we needed that was not provided (the spice rack with a compliment of seasonings was a very nice added touch). The rooms and beds were very comfortable. The grounds, pool, and grill area were very well maintain and relaxing. We even saw a humming bird while we were enjoying the picnic area. PVQ is minutes from everything you want to see and do, ie, canal, mall, and downtown Panama City. The guarded entrance made us feel safe but not constrained. :-) With 3 rental cars coming and going day and night, we worked that guard to death. LOL If you get lost, look 4 the big Panama flag and cell towers at the top of the hill. That saved me several times. And the view from the top of the hill is a must see. WHEN we return, we will definitely be staying at PVQ. Un millon de gracias, Senor Robert y sus empleados maravillosa Willie

We were very happy with our stay at PVQ. The four bedroom unit was very spacious and comfortable and looks just like the pictures on the site. The views from all of our windows were lovely, and listening to birds in the morning was definitely better than hearing traffic! If you are looking for a place to stay that is in the city but feels like you are in the suburbs, this is the place to be.

Great location and it's just the way you see it on the website. The PVQ property is in a great location, and in a secure area. It is very comfortable and well equipped. The facilities and furnishings were good and you have ample room; the bedrooms were a good size. A TV in the master bedroom would be a welcomed addition, and although you can have your laundry done by the staff for a fee (Delia & Mari- who are just great and super helpful and attentive), washer & dryer facilities that the guests could use would also be nice. Karolina is really a great person to work with. Straightforward, honest, and responsive. She was on top of everything, very pleasant and made me feel comfortable considering we had never met. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to visit Panama.

Good location from City center. There is a nice café a very short drive and a supermarket and mall are within 5 minutes. Easy to reach road to the country side and beaches on the Pacific. Clean and neatly arranged. Car will sit directly in front of your accommodation. Friendly staff willing to go out of their way to assist. I would love to return one day. The beauty of the location is one to behold in a large city. There is not a far drive to reach a wonderful view of Panama City and the Canal from atop of Ancon Hill.

I found out about PVQ from only one review which was located on Tripadvisor. The review happened to be a negative one. I was anxious to find out what the actual experience was like. I found PVQ to be the most relaxing nights we spent in our 3 weeks in Panama. If you’re coming to party-drink don’t come here. For birds, hiking, quiet, sloth (one in the backyard one morning), monkeys, $4 cab rides to anywhere in the city, relaxing hammocks, pool, safe area, English TV, A/C, cheap laundry, your own kitchen and toucans; come here! For two adults and a 12 and 14 yr old all to have their needs and wants met was great. Kids loved the DVD selection.

Being from Panama and the Canal Zone, I know the area very well. My family of 8 stayed at Panmana Vacation Quarters for 2 weeks from late Feb to early March, and I will always stay at PVQ from now on. It is a great location, beautiful property, excellent value, safe, clean, simply the best place for a family or small group to stay. We had a 4 bedroom unit, but they do also offer the 1 bedrom studios for couples or small groups up to 4. Our kids loved the pool and especially the small marmoset monkeys that come down from the trees every day to feast on banana put out by the gardner. The staff is great, the place is clean, and I wil be calling PVQ my home while in Panama from now on. The ONLY people that may want to be downtown are those that want to hang out in the bars and casinos. If you want to see Panama natural beauty but be close to downtown, PVQ is for you too.
