Location: Seaside, Beaches of South Walton, Florida North West, Florida, USA (On 30A Between Panama City & Destin/Fort Walton)
Accommodations: Cottage, 3 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 3 Baths (Sleeps 6-7)
Shady Lady is a beautiful, shady oasis with wood floors, nestled in the trees in the heart of Seaside, with huge porches and lots of outdoor seating. It's only a short skip from the glistening white sand beach and emerald green water. Our cottage is two doors from the Tupelo gazebo where children and adults love to gather, make new friends or sell lemonade.
Shady Lady's whimsical, third-floor, tower, "fish" bedroom with queen bed has a bird's eye view of Seaside rooftops and the gorgeous Gulf of Mexico. The second-floor master suite with king bed and full bath opens onto a huge, wonderful porch in the trees for after-beach relaxing. Another second-floor queen bedroom has hall bath and lots of books to peruse.
Downstairs is an open living area with comfy sofa, love seat and easy chairs adjoining the full kitchen and dining area, and a bath with inside-outside shower. An inflatable queen mattress is also available. Beach chairs, toys and floats are at the cottage for your use.
If you have never visited Seaside with its landscape of white picket fences and fairy tale cottages, you must grant yourself this very special experience. You will fall in love with Seaside's extraordinary architecture, narrow brick streets, winding paths and fun things for families and friends to do. Shady Lady is a half block from tennis, swimming pools, a fitness center and children's playground, and just two streets from the center of town.
There are dune lakes, golf courses and 20 miles of bike paths nearby. Seaside has movies and live concerts on the grass, live theater, an open air market, great art galleries, all kinds of fun shops, a book store, great restaurants, a neat coffee shop, and the famed Modica Market with its exotic foods and outdoor cafe. Life is so laid-back and easy here.
If you need room for a larger group, Little Shady, which sleeps four and has two baths, sits right behind Shady Lady and can be rented with our larger cottage.
