Lazy Cabin is a completely unique three-bedroom cottage that is nestled in a pine forest on picturesque Mink Hollow Road in Lake Hill, New York. It has two fireplaces and has the feel of a true catskill lodge. It is only five minutes from Bearsville, home of the Renowned Bearsville Theater, the Bear and the Little Bear Restaurants - Lazy Cabin is FIVE miles from the Center of WOODSTOCK.
Mink Hollow Road meets a dead end on acres of unspoiled state hiking lands complete with marked and mapped trails. The three-mile walk to the trail head follows the Beaverkill Creek its entire distance and is, in itself, a magical hike. In addition, gorgeous Cooper Lake is a stone's throw from the front door, featuring inspiring views of the Catskill Mountain Range. Skiing at Hunter Mountain and Belleayere Ski Resort is only 20 minutes from the house! (Pictures soon to follow.)
Personally designed by Kate Pierson of the famous B-52's Rock Band, Lazy Cabin is inspired by Mary Colter's Hopi House and the Thunderbird Lodge located at the Grand Canyon. Marvel at the reproductions of the authentic Hopi art interpreted by artist Michael Lee Scott.
Hunker down on the soft mexican rugs or the cushy sofa - read a book or snooze in front of the instantly blazing gas fireplace. Groups can party like iron chefs in the fully equipped galley kitchen- complete with a working woodburing stove. We know you'll be ready for cocktails and grilling shishkabobs on the private, extra large deck off the kitchen patio doors. There is lots of counter space and a grand lodge style table that seats up to eight.
All rooms filled with fabulous and fun artwork, paintings and photographs. This is a skier paradise great for groups or a very private romantic getaway for two. Chill out and watch the tube in the living room by the fire or cozy up in your invitingly designed bedroom. We promise you will be feeling lazy by the end of your stay.
