Welcome to Dolphin House! This charming, spacious home is located in Gulfport's Historic Art District and is just 2 blocks from Gulfport's White Sandy Beach on Boca Ciega Bay. It has the added bonus of having two separate living areas, a large master bedroom, split floor plan, covered porch and uncovered patio and an outside gas grill. Just two blocks from Williams Pier and Veteran's Memorial Park with benches, picnic tables and walkways. Watch dolphins swim by from the fishing pier or as you play at the beach or in the water.
Starting at 2 blocks away in another direction are a variety of restaurants and shops, one of which even has the local post office inside! Gulfport's Library is but a few blocks away and if you feel like shopping you can take the City bus service to Tyrone Mall. It stops just two blocks from Dolphin House. Then there is Gulfport's Casino, located at the beach, they have a variety of dances from Country Western to Latin and Ballroom dances. And still another well-known attraction is Hickman's Theatre with live plays. Regardless of the time of year you come to visit, you'll find something fun and exciting to do. Take the Gulfport/St. Pete Beach Connector Trolley for access to all the Gulf Beaches!
Gulfport is known as the "Gateway to the Gulf". A small, artistic community, it has a laid-back population of around 13,000. A short drive to Fort Desoto Beach (voted the nation's #1 beach in 2005), it is centrally located to everything you need for your Florida vacation.
The split floor plan means two bedrooms, one bath and one living area are in the front of the house, and one bedroom, one bath and one living area are in the back. The kitchen can be closed off from the front of the house with a pocket door, and from the rear of the hosue with glass French doors. Sleeping up to six, the home is perfect for a family or couples. Tile floors throughout the house. Ample sunshine enters the home all day long and multiple windows permit comfortable cross-ventilation when breezes blow on spring and fall days. (Central heat and AC is always available if you prefer.)

Clean beautiful house. I went with my sister and nieces. The way the house it set up allowed them and us to have our space (two bathroom also helped). I loved the area. I talked to a local who said it was what the Keys used to be like. Gulf port beach leaves a lot to be desired but lovely beaches are just short drive away. I would rent this house again!

We just returned from a wonderful one week stay at Dolphin House. We enjoyed our stay immensely and appreciated the owner's attention to detail. The home might not be new but it is very well-maintained, and we found it to be spotless when we arrived. We appreciated that it was stocked with all the basics we needed and the wi-fi network was much appreciated and quite reliable. We had no problem accessing it with our laptop and Apple Touch. The pictures associated with this listing do a good job matching reality. We loved how the house is divided into two distinct areas. It made being there a week with the in-laws quite comfortable because we never felt like we on top of each other. The home's floor plan is sensible. We also loved sitting out front and watching people walk up and down the quite street. The proximity to Gulfport beach and local bars/restaurants is great. We also loved using the modern and super clean community center pool in St. Pete. Our best local meal was Smokin' J's BBQ on Gulfport Blvd. which is less than a mile from the house - it's authentic Texas BBQ with fantastic brisket and pulled pork. We would gladly return to Dolphin House and will recommend it to friends.

We stayed here the week before Memorial day. Very nice, well kept and roomy house. The backyard is very quiet and peaceful. Just a short walk to the shops and restaurants in Gulfport.

I had the pleasure of taking my Daughter and her 4 closest Girlie friends for a Sweet Sixteen Birthday party weekend!!! The Dolphin house was a great house that offered enough room for all six of us. The neighborhood was quite and safe wich is important when your on vacation. The Girls loved the house and will never forget this weekend! Beth was great at e-mailing and answering any questions I had before and during our stay. Thank you again for everything. (p.s. The vacume is in the closet just incase your kids get in a silly string war!!!!!!)

My family recently spent 2 weeks in Dolphin House and we had a wonderful time! It's a perfect beach house, in a great location for all of the action in St. Pete and the beaches. Sally and Beth do a nice job of making sure that you have plenty of information about the area. The house is well appointed and clean, and it felt like "home" immediately. We'll be back!

This was a great rental - not only is the house darling, full of amenities and conveniences, short walk to the beach and the adorable main street of Gulf Port - but the owners have also put together guide books and tourist ideas, and gone out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. This is place is a real gem!
