Grenell is a Beautiful Island (boat accesible only) right next to T.I. Park. There is a three sided protected sandy bottom cove for swimming and boat docking. The Island has a church and a community house for everyone's use. Sidewalks for Island walks. You cant beat the views of the tour boats, swimming and boating.MUST HAVE BOAT

Frieghters from all over the world pass in the distant view on the St. Lawarence River.Its a cozy friendly area with easy access to Alexandria Bay, Clayton,and five minutes to Canada.By car Take 81 North to exit 50 towards Clayton about one mile( on Rt 12 ) at flashing light (Rt 180 ) turn right. Go 200yards you will see Bill and Jacks store where you can park your car and trailer (stop inside for information on parking). You can launch boat free at the public launch right there and start your fun!!

If you are in need of Boat rentals you can contact Aquamania, Chalks Marina or Hutchinson Marina .There are many resturants and stores that have Free Taxi service to there front door or even accesible by your boat.

This cottage was very deceiving. No one was there to greet us, so we had no idea where the cottage ws, or if their was something to carry our luggage to the cottage because the dock was not close to the house. The bedrooms had a terrible smell, the bathroom was dirty, I went and bought a shower curtain at the dollar store because it was so dirty. We were told there was a BBQ. It was so dirty and broken to pieces that it did not look wary safe to use. The island is beautiful and the surrounding great, but we will look for a better place to stay next time

Owner response:This person was coming in from Canada with whom I had been in touch with daily to greet them. They kept changing there arrival times and the no longer responded to my calls for arrival. I told them I was available by phone and had a person who would assist them if needed if they called for anything. I dont know of any smells and if the grill was bad? We had another one in the shed to resolve that if they would of called.We do have a travel cart available there also.I contacted them and asked if everything was ok and I was told yes. Sometimes tennants dont want to talk to us because they have more people at the cottage then it was rented for so they do not want to be in contact. I had no real bad issues with this tennnant we were aware of. The place was cleaned before they arrived and again there were no phone calls advising us of any conflicts.
