Warren Mill is a unique get-away full of rural and historic attractions.Built in 1792 and operated as a gristmill for over 100 years, the mill has been through many wars and even survived Sherman's march through Scottsville when many mills were burned and the canals destroyed. Located near the charming town of Scottsville which offers quaint shops and restaurants, it is also near to many Virginia wineries, historic homes such as Monticello and Ashlawn, Appomatox Courthouse, and an easy drive to Wintergreen Ski Resort. It is just a short walk to the James River where you can swim, canoe, or relax as you tube your way down the river into Scottsville.

You may choose to leave behind all of these great activities to simply enjoy the property itself. There are 12 acres including a creek with a running waterfall and a hole for swimming. The Mill offers a perfect place for your family gathering or as a retreat spot for small groups. The main floor is equipped with a large, gourmet kitchen and plenty of open space. It includes a great reading nook which doubles as an extra bed, plus several pull-outs to increase the sleeping spaces up to 17. We have furnished this home with love for our family to enjoy and invite you to enjoy as well. We've chosen to forgo the TV here, but we have plenty of books, games, and music to wile away the hours pleasantly.
