My wife and I have recently returned from our vacation in Rosignano Marittimo where we stayed at one of Tony and Antoinette's villas. The villa was exactly as described and was found to be a wonderful home base for our daily adventures. Tony and Antoinette could not have been more helpful, accommodating and kind. From advice on what to see, where to shop, train schedules, transportation assistance and even lining up a rental car for us.....their door was always open. Although not a necessity a rental car does have its advantages however, the public transportation system is more than adequate for getting around....just show some patience in learning the schedules. We used it frequently for trips to Florence. Also consider a variety of tours offered out of Florence (ie San Gimignano, Siena and the Chianti region...Antoinette has the info!) Another recommendation would be to learn a few Italian expressions and have a good understanding of the monetary system. All in all it was wonderful experience and I highly recommend a stay at this property.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Antoinette and Nino's villa in Rosignano! Antoinette was so helpful with our day trips, providing us with trains schedules and tips to navigate the trains. Nino was kind enough to drive us to and from the train station all the while telling us about the area and the history of the town. The olive grove and fruit trees provide a peaceful surrounding. Take a walk through the grove and you will see a spectacular view of the countryside. We also learned how the olives are harvested each season. I would highly recommend this immaculate villa for your vacation, and don't forget to purchase the delicious olive oil!

What a beautiful setting with a beautiful village. We stayed here for 7 nights in May and would highly recommend it for everyone wanting experience a true Italian village life. Easy walking to the town with several good local restaurants and small markets. You will need a car to visit other areas and Tony will help you with the car rental. Beautiful views, easy access to all of Tuscany, great little villages to explore close by, and wonderful hosts.

Located in the western countyside of Tuscany, in two scenic towns of Rosignano on the Mediterranean made this a perfect location to visit many cities in Tuscany. Most of the scenic medievil cities are one hour away by car making it easy to visit Siena, Volterra, San Gimignano, and Pisa. A visit to Portovenere leading to Cinqueterra is also a car ride away. The train station is minutes from the villa and can be used to travel between Rome and Florence. We loved the travel and enjoyed being home in Villa Saracino with Antoinette and Tony, who treated us a family. Tony had route suggestions and Antionette make the best Cheesecake. Our villa was lovely and comfortable with beautiful views of the olive groves and mountian sides that make us wish we could do it all again. We will recommend this Villa to all of our fiends and relatives.

Lovely home in Tuscany

My husband and I and 2 friends spent one week at Villa Saracino. We had a lovely time. The villa was clean and comfortable. Tony and Antoinette were very kind and helpful hosts. I would definitely recommend this villa to others. It was a very good deal for the money. We took day trips to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Lucca, Florence, San Gimignano, and the Cinque Terre area. I felt it had a good central location for visiting the places we wanted to see. The listing photos accurately reflected the rental's appearance and amenities and the listing description was accurate regarding the location. I would stay here again.

Lovely Tuscany Experience

We stayed at this villa with two other couples in October. The villa was extremely clean and spacious- plenty of room for all of us.There was a mutual gathering room, yet had privacy for each couple. There is a little downtown area within walking distance of the villa with awesome restaurants. We usually bought food at the local grocery stores and had our breakfasts at the villa before departing on our excursions for the day. From this villa location we were easily able to drive to our intended destinations: Cinque Terre, Lucca, Siena, and Florence. Once after telling owners Antoinette and Tony about an enjoyable restaurant we discovered in the next town, they asked us for the name so they could relay that information to their next guests. They are kind, gracious people who were so helpful not only in helping us find our planned day trip destinations, but even assisted us with unexpected vehicle trouble one day. A stroll around their property (through the olive groves) was truly breath taking with 360 degree views of Tuscany and the Mediterranean. Closer to the villa itself there were lemon and peach trees and grape vines. I felt more relaxed there than I'd felt in months. I wish I could have bottled that!

"Nino" and "Netta" are the perfect hosts at this beautiful villa. Everything was immaculate and beautiful. The scenery and the atmoshere were so relaxing-we felt like we were in the movie "Uner the Tuscan Sun" The villa was fully furnished and very comfortable. Marasimmo Rossignano is a terrific area to visit. The beach was so close and the town has lots of restaurants to enjoy. I would not hesitate to recommend this villa to anyone.

Vacation in Tuscany

Our 10 day stay at the Villa Saracino was one of the best vacations we have had in many years. Antoinette and Tony were the very best host and hostess. We were very comfortable in the largest of their apartments. There were four adults in our party over 60. The villa was large and very comfortable. There was wi-fi connection which was very helpful in allowing us to contact family and friends while away. All the rooms are spacious and modern, especially the baths. The villa is only moments away from a lovely village which allowed us to walk and enjoy the Tuscan life with the locals. All in all we had a wonderful vacation and would stay again with Antoinette and Tony if we get to go back to Tuscany. We specially enjoyed our breakfast and afternoons on the lovely outdoor patio enjoying the countryside. Travel to Sienna, Florence, Venice and many country hillside towns was very easy with Tony's help with directions for driving and train travel. Anyone who wishes to see Tuscany should feel very comfortable at the Villa Saracino in Livorno.

Our week at the Saracino villa was the most relaxing, enjoyable vacation yet. The apt. was just right, the views were inspiring, the village was charming, and the Saracinos were wonderful hosts. Thank you for sharing your Italian treasure with us. I can't say enough how much we loved being there. We're wishing we were still there.

We statyed at this villa in june of 2010 and enjoyed the warm hospitality offered by antoinette and anthony! The town and countryside was very picturesque and strolling through the downtown and sipping on a cappuccino was memorable. The one bedroom villa was extremely clean and spacious. it was also very safe, with gated parking. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone. Do yourself a favor and purchase the olive oil cultivated and pressed right on the premises, amazing! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The property is actually in Rosignano where there is a train stop. It is a quaint village along the Mediterranean. Nino and Nettie could not have been better hosts; they made us feel so welcome. The place is immaculate and in the most perfect setting imaginable. We visited the market on a regular basis to cook our own meals. We had planned on staying two nights and extended it to five. They arranged for Danny to shuttle us through Tuscany to Siena and Voltera for a day trip. In fact, it worked perfectly to stay at the Villa as our home base, and also took day trips to Pisa, Cinque Terra and Florence. We also spent one day in Rosignano, walked around the downtown, ate too much gelato, visited the Castle, walked around the olive groves and vineyard. The wine and olive oil made at the property were incredible. We consider the owners "friends", with several evening visits and a great deal of laughter. Nino also gave us a tour, shuttled us to and from the train station. You wake up in the morning to a heavenly Tuscan view outside your bedroom window.

Paradise in Italy

We stayed at apartments 1&2 for 5 days during the spring break time. Our family of 4, including 2 kids were in apt 2, while my sister-in-law stayed in apt 1. The apartments were immaculate, spacious, and in a great location. They were located a short walk to the town center which had a few nice restaurants and a gelato shop. It also wasn't too far a drive to the local COOP store, which is a decent sized market. There are bilingual signs in Italian and English for the aisles, and the staff spoke some English as well, so there wasn't a language barrier. We took a few day trips by either car (we drove from Germany to the villa) or train. It was nice to be able to come back to the peaceful surroundings of the villa after a day of sightseeing in Florence and hiking the Cinque Terre. Antoinette and Antonino were more than helpful with any questions we had about the area or even for day trips to other towns. We originally had booked just 3 nights, but decided to stay an extra couple of days since the villas we rented were available. We were sad to leave not only a beautiful area, but felt like we were saying good-bye to family as we were more than made to feel at home.

We stayed for five days in the one bedroom unit during our honeymoon last August, and it was by far the highlight of our trip, which included stays in Germany and Switzerland. Nino gave us fresh melon and grapes in the morning, and they always had great information for us, whether driving north to Pisa, or inland to Volterra. The rooms are immaculate, both in design and in cleanliness. The villa is easy to find and the town it is in is a great place to base your Tuscany trip, the gelato shop in the town was one of the best we had in Italy, and we ate a lot of gelato! They had beach equipment for us to use, internet access so we could upload all the pictures we took, and we even got to take home the best olive oil we have ever had! The olives are grown on the property and pressed in a mill on the same road as the villa, it does not get more authentic then that. If you are going to Tuscany and need a place to stay this is it. We spent two weeks in Europe and not only was our time here the cheapest five nights we had, it was also the cleanest and by far the nicest. We loved our stay, it was hard to leave, and we can't wait to go back.

We stayed here for 6 nights and had the best of all worlds. Our villa was spotless, we had everything right on hand and what we didn't have, we could walk just 5 minutes to the village & buy. Whenever we went to the village, there was a language barrier but we always managed to find someone who could help out and we never met anyone who wasn't willing to help. The view from our balcony was incredible and we were able to explore the property and go on a nice little hike. Antoinette & Antonino were two of the warmest, friendlies people we had ever met and it truly was a tearful goodbye. You could ask them for anything and if it was within their power to accommodate, they would...they arranged a wine tour for us & pick up and drop off at the train station when we arrived and left. We didn't rent a car and it was a little inconvenient but Antonino took us to wherever we needed to go and all we had to pay for was the gas...those two made it a very special vacation.

This place is heaven on earth and will fulfill every dream you've ever had of Tuscany. The views and comfort are unsurpassed in any hotel or apt we have every stayed. Antoinette will even cook you a full breakfast or dinner for a modest charge, and you can add a bottle of their own wine for 5 euro more. We felt like we were leaving a stay with friends instead of leaving an "inn." Highly recommended and tell them ciao from Cammy and Bob! (Yes, a car is extremely helpful, but the Saracinos will do everything they can to help those who are hesitant to drive in Italy.)

Everyone has to come here if they are going to stay in tuscany! you could not ask for more gracious hosts and beautiful accomodations. If there is anything you need antoinette and antonino are right there to help. Having them on the property makes it very helpful, because there are so many questions to be answered when you get there. Just a bit of advice, you really need to rent a car.

Look no further! If you are traveling to Tuscany, this is the perfect location. The Saracino Villa is near everything you may need. The Pisa Airport, the train station, the grocery store, the white sand beach..really, what else might you need? Antoinette and Tony will assist you, and/or get you there. Our stay at Villa #1 for 10 days, was home. We spent much of our time on the patio absorbing the Tuscan sun, drinking wine from the Saracino Villa and enjoying the quietness of the countryside. The Villa was everything we imagined, and more. It was spotless, spacious, and full of warm Tuscan decor. Our day trips included Pisa and Florence. We took 4-days and went to Elba, an island off the Tuscany coast. I do recommend buying or renting a GPS (Tony can give you the coordinates), and you will always find your way back to the Saracino Villa--your home away from home. Thanks Antionette and Tony..our memories of Tuscany, and your hospitality, will always be with us!

Right from the very beginning, I couldn't believe how very helpful Annette was in answering all the questions I had while I was trying to plan the final details of our trip. The payment was also much easier by simply sending her a check for the deposit and final payment, unlike most of all the other rental properties that required Western Union, and Pay Pal converted into Euros. Also when I asked Annette for advice, she always had numerous recommendations, and suggestions which really helped us since there were so many places we wanted to visit. She even helped with the name of a hotel in Rome that we were able to book. We had decided that we were going to use the Saracino villa for a central location that we would take day trips from during our 10 nights in Tuscany, and what a great location it was. I would definately recommend this as a central location for anyone planning a trip to Tuscany. Located about 20 minutes from Pisa, we were just 5-10 min. by car to a train station in the next town. We used the train to go to several places rather than drive, like when we visited Florence and Cinque Terre (it was so much easier than driving). Also there was a laundry mat, large grocery store, banks, several restaurants and a beautiful beach that we went to several times in the area. Annette and Tony are 2 of the nicest people that I've had the pleasure of meeting, and I really wish that we would have had more time to spend with them to explore their working farm. They made us feel very welcome, and it was so nice to return there each evening after our daily travels to their beautiful, and peaceful home. We rented the two bedroom apartment and it was spotless, but I have to say that my favorite time was always spent having my coffee each morning out on the back deck while enjoying the view of the beautiful countryside. We always felt very safe there (rather than in a crowded city or hotel room), and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet. I'm glad I brought back some of their olive oil, and each time I use it I think of how much I enjoyed my stay at the Saracino villa. We rented the three bedroom apartment for 4 days, and quite enjoyed the villa, the view, and the town. Both Antoinette and Tony were very helpful with planning side trips, and giving us information about living part time in Italy. This was a relaxing spot, about 5 - 10 minutes from the beach, large grocery store by car, and a 5 minute walk to the town. We would recommend this location, and would return.

My wife and I had a very enjoyable visit. We used the villa as a centrally positioned location for day visits to all of Tuscany. The hosts Tony & Annette were great hosts making the entire experience very memorable. The Villa was comfortable, quiet, and situated on a beautiful working farm. The food offered was typical Tuscan cusine excellently prepared. Everything was super. 10 minutes from beautiful sandy beaches. It is truly a great experience. You will not be dissapointed by the accomdation,the food or the location.

We stayed in Villa 3 of this beautifully restored Tuscan farmhouse in June 2007 with our children and grandchildren. Antoinette and Tony were very gracious hosts, helpful in every way that you can imagine including arrainging transportation to all of the tourist sites. Staying here was truly the highlight of our Italian vacation and we will always have fond memories of our visit.

We had such a delightful time at the Saracino villa! The owners are so warm and loving and helped us with anything that we needed. The accommodations were super clean and all of the surrounding cities were so easy to travel to - we had a blast!
