The perfect vacation retreat: Charming, private, quiet, newly restored, freshly decorated and fully furnished year round apartment on four and a half acres of fields and wood with 144 feet of saltwater frontage on a private cove great for swimming, boating and picnicing. Walk and, in winter,snowshoe through four and a half acres of fields and woods. Picnic by the water, relax on the lawn and explore the surrounding area. Lots to do, birding, hiking, golfing, fishing, sightseeing, boat trips to nearby islands, galleries, museums, boutigues, restaurants, movies, discount shopping, kayaking, and much more.
The apartment is part of, but completely separate from my Maine Framhouse. It is roomy and full of light, charming as well as comfortable. It has a large fan to keep it cool in the summer and heat to keep it toasty in the winter. It is best for two but sleeps four. There is an open floor plan with a full bathroom, an eat in kitchen, a living room area with a futon that opens into a double bed,a bedroom area with a queen size bed, a liitle office nook, a separate entrance and on-site parking. There is even a BBQ Grill.

- You can put a kayak or a canoe in the water right from my property, fishing is good in our cove and kids love to see the little fish in the tide pools. On a good summer you can find blueberries on my land, and I usually have a vegitable garden with plenty to share.

Year Purchased: 2000
I am a retired university professor who moved to the east coast for a job at Wesleyan University. I missed the water. For most of my life I had lived by the ocean in California. I found Maine, fell in love with it, bought what I tought would be a summer home and restored it. When I retired in 2006 I moved to Maine and my summer retreat became my year round home. I have lived in both the apartment and the house, both are light, bright, charming and comfortable. I have rented the house in past summers and now am renting the apartment. I can assure you that you will have a lovely vacation here.

The property and the area are extremely beautiful. It is like living in a post card.
The Unique Benefits of this Apartment
There is so much to do that one cannot do it all in a week or even two. There is stuff for all tastes. There is great hiking, lots to do on the water--fishing, boating, swimming--discount shopping, exellent restaurants, and much more. In Rockland, about 20 minutes away, each summer there is a Blues festival, a Lobster festival, a boat show and more.
