A group of 7 couples have a yearly beach trip and we have been to "Like a Dream" 2 times in the past couple years. It is the PERFECT setup for couples because each room has a queen or king AND it's own private bathroom! AMAZING layout, super location...very easy walk across the street to the beach. Surfside is one of my favorite beaches. You will LOVE this place. The owner has such great attention to detail and it shows in her cleaning the place before your arrival. It's immaculate. I could go on with all positive things to say, but I will stop here. We will be back soon!

We are from Massachusetts and planned a family vacation for our grandkids' April school vacation. When we, our children and grandchildren, 15 in all, arrived at "Like A Dream" we were all astonished to see how much more beautiful and spacious this beach house was compared to all the online information. The owners were on site to greet us upon arrival and had everything in top order. This beach house easily accommodated all of us and having a bathroom with each bedroom was the top of convenience. The weather cooperated and we spent a great deal of time on the beach and poolside. A few of the adults got to golf at two different courses, both fantastic. We dined at some great area restaurants and got in a few rounds of mini golf as well. One of the grandkids' favorite day was fishing at the end of the pier. It couldn't have been a more wonderful family vacation. We highly recommend "Like A Dream" for your next family gathering and we hope to come back again soon.

What a wonderful home. We had a large group from Virginia Beach, Florida and Missouri. Everyone was extremely impressed with the size and condition of the home. It was plenty big enough that we weren't all tripping over each other. There was great thought put into this house. There wasn't anything that we thought we could need that wasn't already there. The proximity to the beach was fantastic, what a treat! We even walked to the restaurants 2 nights and they were also great. I would definitely recommend this home! We hope to use it again!!

Our 8 guy golf gang stayed a week at Like A Dream for the second time in 3 years, and again, we were not disappointed. The house easily accommodates the 8 of us, and the location can't be beat. Not only is the house just 1/2 block from the ocean, but is very convenient to the golf courses we play at south Myrtle Beach. The back porch served as a wonderful gathering spot for the gang after golf, and the kitchen/eating area easily handled the 8 of us. We used the gas grill several times rather going out to eat, and the large flat screen TV was great. Once again, the owner was very attentive to our requests. The second time around for us was as good as the first, and we are already making plans to stay here again next year.

My family and I stayed at Like a Dream and were very impressed with the condition of the property. Everything was immaculately maintained and visitors were thought of down to the last detail. There was a wagon full of sand toys for the children, the kitchen was well appointed and everything was in working order. We were all impressed with the cleanliness of the house from top to bottom. This owner takes great pride in her property and it shows. She was very pleasant to deal with. I would highly recommend this property.

We came from Ohio, Florida, Kentucky, Maryland and Maine. Not having tried this before, it was a relief to see that your wonderful house was all you said it was...beautiful, large, warmly decorated and close to everything. We had three toddlers under 3 with our party so we enjoyed the extras you were so kind to provide. The kids loved having their own table. We especially enjoyed the pool and the beach and the wonderful deck. And thank you for your warm Southern Hospitality! We look forward to coming back in the future. You even arranged for Hurricane Irene to miss us entirely...not sure how you did it but THANK YOU!

Comfortable, clean, large and convenient to airport and shopping. This is a beautiful house. Our family enjoyed the private pool and all the ammenities it had to offer. We were within a two minute walk {just cross the road and down a plank walkway} to a gorgeous beach. Will visit again!!

The home was clean, well equipped and maintained, and attractive. It was convenient to walk across the street to the beach. The beach was not congested - great for relaxation. The home was even better than the pictures suggested with plenty of room (great for a retreat with multiple rooms each with their own bathroom), pool, & multiple decks. The owner was accomodating and answered questions for our women's retreat. It was convenient to drive to stores, Myrtle Beach, and Brookgreen Gardens. We had a great time. I would recommend this property.

We are a family of 14 with 3 generations ranging in age from 5 to 73 who rented this beautiful home for spring break. This home is even better than the pictures we found on the listing and the pride in ownership certainly shows. The house is so spacious that everyone had space to remain together or find quiet time on the porches front and back or around the pool. We entertained additional family for Sunday dinner and were able to easily accomodate our large group with room to spare. Surfside beach is such a wonderful location. We never found it necessary to go into Myrtle Beach's restaurant row because there are so many wonderful restaurants right in the area as well as great supermarkets to pick up supplies. The owner was accomodating on every request. The home has ample supplies to cook meals in which we did several evenings. I have no reservation in recommeding this home to anyone seeking a large and immacuate place close to the beach for a vacation destination.

Our family has stayed here 3 times and will definitely return. We love having 7 bedrooms with private bathrooms. The covered porch, pool and living room/dining area are large enough for the whole family to gather. Surfside Beach is a nice, safe community. There is easy access to the beach, good restaurants, shopping and entertainment. The house is very clean and well-maintained.

Perfect is all we can say about our stay. Everything was spotless with huge rooms, fabulous pool,TV in every room. What dreams are made of fits this home. We were 14 people ranging in age from 4 -80 and we never got in each others way because the house is so large.Had a small problem with pool one day and within 15 minutes someone was there to correct problem. Pool was cleaned every morning.Loved every minute we were there and would highly recommend it to anyone.

This being the first time that we rented a house for a vacation, we were VERY happy with our choice. The owner, Lu, was such a great person to work with. The place was very clean (a biggie for me) and well appointed. We had 3 generations of family staying there and it was wonderful to be able to have that bedroom space when needed to get "away" from the chaos. Also all the porches were great. A favorite of the whole family's was the back porch and the rocking chairs!! The pool was an added bonus. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone. We all hated to leave at weeks end:) It is close to so much and the atmosphere of Surfside Beach is just wonderful for old and young alike. Highly recommended!!!

Just returned from a weeks stay July 3 thru 10. This was our first time in Surfside Beach. We have typically stayed further North in Bethany Beach, Delaware. We enjoyed the great beaches and warm water in SC. The owners of the home are very easy to communicate with and the house is very clean and well appointed. The bedrooms are large, the kithchen has everything you need, the private pool is great to dive into in the evenings, the beach is no more than 150 yards away if that, and the house is in great condition. The beach by the house was never overly crowded and was very family oriented. You can walk to downtown surfside for ice cream etc. it is only 6 blocks away. Very easy to get onto BR 17 which is where all the shopping and restaurants are located. We enjoyed visiting Broadway at the Beach one evening. Great place for families.

Our family has been going to SC beaches forever and we go for two reasons: family fellowship and the beach. This was the first house we rented that is not oceanfront. A great, safe beach access is a few steps away. This is one of the best sections of Surfside Beach, very wide and not crowded. We have never had a pool before and didn't really want one; however, we had wonderful family time in the pool and probably will make it a priority in the future. The covered parking easily handles 6 cars. The bedrooms were large and the beds were comfortable. Each bedroom has a nice bath attached. This house was not "noisy" like some houses. The kitchen was well equipped. We cooked in three nights. We had plenty of seating at dinner. The great room was nicely decorated with comfortable seating, good lighting, and a nice large screen TV. The grandchildren are "twenty-somethings" and had all the technology they expect. We all enjoyed the wireless internet. It was a new experience for us to not go through a vacation rental agency. One of the best things about using VRBO is that the owner of this house is extremely involved in the weekly cleaning and maintenance. They are fanatics about the house being in top shape when you arrive. My mother said that this is the first time she felt we could just walk into a beach house and know that everything was clean. The owner is very straight forward and everything about the house and the arrangement was exactly as promised. If there were any surprises, they were positive ones. This is one of our favorite beaches and we all have agreed (a rarity) that we hope to use Like A Dream next summer. When we go out for dinner it's usually for seafood. We always go to GulfStream Cafe at Garden City and like several Murrell's Inlet restaurants. Our three generations of girls like to shop the outlets and shops one day each year. The cousins, in their 20's, found nice, nearby places to hang out in the evenings.

My friends & I vacation at the beach for a weekend every spring. We have seven couples and do not invite our children. It's very difficult to find a home with seven king/queen size beds and private bathrooms. We have been to many beaches and this is the first time in six years that no one had to share a bathroom. This house was so reasonably priced that we rented it for the entire week and brought our children for the first half, husbands for the second! The kids loved the pool and being across the street from the beach. The home is very clean and well decorated. The homeowner was easy to communicate with and provided some extra amenities such as a high chair. Also, the homeowner worked with us and our dates as we wanted to go Sunday to Sunday. We found Surfside to be just the right size for us; not too crowded but not searching for the one grocery store in town either. We drove to Georgetown for dinner one night and really enjoyed this cute town and Portofino's restaurant. Many couples drove quickly to Myrtle Beach for a day of outlet shopping. I would definitely recommend this property for family reunions or any adult gatherings. We had children there from 9 months old to 13 and they all loved the property as well.

Our party consisted of 8 golfers on a golf week vacation (April, 2009). We loved this house at Surfside Beach. It was the perfect location for our Myrtle Beach golf getaway. A block to the Ocean, with easy access directly across the street, everything was a convenient walk or short drive. Most of the golf courses we played were south Myrtle, making it even more convenient. The house was perfect for us, with 7 bedrooms and 71/2 bathes. The kitchen and dining area could easily accommodate the 8 of us, and we loved having the large deck over looking the pool. We used the gas grill several nights for eat-in dinners. The house was clean through out, and the owners are a pleasure to work with. We will be staying there again in 2011.

This house is beautiful! The owners were friendly and met you on the first day. The house was not only "white glove" clean but gorgeous! The location is a very short walk to the beach and the pool was clean. The house is conviently located near restaurants, shopping, goofy golf and batting cages.
