This was our second time staying in this beautiful, perfectly situated condo. Last year we came for a week, this year we stayed for two! The condo is exactly as described, the remodel still feels brand new, everything is clean, functional, and there are many extras. I love that the owners have it stocked with so many necessities (extra rolls of toilet paper?! unheard of in some VRBOs) extra towels, blankets, tons of beach toys, boogie boards, everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, INCLUDING the non perishable items other people have left (spices, oil, etc) The location is central to so many activities, the hardest part is deciding what to do each day. Our family loves the fact that we can walk right out on to the different beaches without crossing any roads, or stay on the nice grassy community yard to watch the sunset, the turtles and the whales. Owners Gus and Becky are super nice and respond to all requests and contact immediately. They even called to check on us the night we checked in to see if everything was okay. Amazing. Loved everything about the condo!Great location on the end of the second floor with an angled ocean view from the lanai.Very nice remodel,great kitchen with new appliances,no charge calling back to home in Canada.Great to have A/C and new washer and dryer.Becky and Gus are very well organized,and went as far as calling us the first day.The Royal Mauian is located right on the ocean front between Kamaole 1 and 11 beaches.We really enjoyed the roof top garden with Weber BBQs and prep kitchen,great views and ample tables to enjoy supper rather than having to take supper back to your unit.We will return and would recommend both the Royal Mauian and this unit!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

This was our second stay at the Royal Mauian, and our first in this particular unit. We will absolutely return!! The Royal Mauian is an ideal location and wonderful building. It's a few short steps to either of the Kamaole beaches, and across the street there is a nice variety of shops and restaurants. Plan to watch turtles and whales (in season) right outside your front door! This particular unit is completely updated, clean, and convenient. It is well stocked with boogie boards, shovels, beach toys, beach towels, and swim noodles. It also includes staples such as laundry and dishwasher detergent, and some basic spices. Because it is an end unit, this condo is much larger than most and the kitchen was a dream for cooking. There is a partial ocean view from the lanai. The owners are very personable and responsive to any questions, and returned our deposit very promptly. We will definitely try to book this unit again the next time we visit Maui!!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The location of this beautifully furnished condo was perfect! We liked being able to walk down one flight of stairs and essentially be at our car to enjoy a full day exploring beautiful Maui or at one of two beaches flanking each side of the complex. We appreciated the beach chairs, beach mat, beach towels, and especially the boogie boards, which we took with us when we went beach-hopping. The rooftop, as well as the grassy area out front was a great place to take pictures of the sunset, so the fact that the lanai doesn't have a full ocean front view was not important to us. The large kitchen was very well equipped, beds were comfortable, and the layout (two bathrooms separating the bedrooms) was perfect because it meant that my poor son did not have to endure the sound of his dad's loud snoring! Tips: Bring earplugs, as there are birds around the complex that tend to wake you up very early in the morning. If you are spontaneous travelers like us, Auntie Snorkel across the street will book excursions ie. ziplining, submarine and snorkel trips, on relatively short notice. Stop at Costco near the airport to purchase your groceries, alcohol, and even discounted luau tickets to the Grand Luau. It is only 10 mins away at the Grand Wailea. Great resort-like ambience on Wailea Beach, 3-time champion firedancer, and it beats driving all the way to Lahaina. The owner was pleasant, responded quickly to our emails, and even personalized our rental experience by giving us a call during our stay. You get top value for this oceanfront condo without paying top dollar for full oceanview! Thank you for a fabulous stay! This condo is beautiful and very tastefully furnished. It had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. It was very nice being able to walk to the beach to enjoy the ocean or the magnificent sunset. Great lounge chairs by the pool to lay on and see the ocean. We took advantage of the rooftop garden to BBQ and took in the amazing view. Excellent renovation and premium location. Would have preferred a little more ocean view, however the cleanliness, upgrades, and exceptional kitchen more than make this a perfect get away. The rooftop grill and amenities with a view is the place to be at sunset. We absolutely would recommend this VRBO to our closest friends.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

It’s a great place to turn off your mind and completely relax The condo is spacious, clean, and ultra comfortable. The kitchen is extra large and well-equipped. The condo doesn’t share any adjoining side walls to other condos so it’s really quiet. The lanai is a great place to eat breakfast in the morning; and the roof top garden is excellent for barbequing dinner while watching the sunset. The location of the condo is unmatched because you are right on the ocean, with two exceptional white-sand beaches on either side. Shopping and a variety of inexpensive restaurants are conveniently located across the street. We definitely will recommend the condo to our friends. After extensive vacation rental searching for a place in South Maui, we decided to go with this unit and we were very glad we did! The rental process was painless and very personalized by the property owners. Upon arrival, the condo was super clean and well kept. The condo is well stocked with all of the essentials plus more, and they even have beach chairs and boogie boards to use. The Royal Mauian's location is great! Being so close to two beautiful beaches was so convenient! This condo has only a partial ocean view, but its location on the 2nd floor next to the stairwell makes up for any lack of view. You simply walk out the door and down one flight of stairs and you are basically at the ocean. All of the renovations were extremely nice and the condo is very up-to-date with the latest appliances and electronics. This condo has A/C which was a huge selling point for us and made the stay that much more comfortable. The roof of the building has an area with grills that you can use. It is a great place to have dinner and watch the sunset! We had a great stay in South Maui and having such a nice, comfortable place to stay in a great location played a large part. Whenever we make it back to South Maui, this property will be at the top of the list!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

After 10 years of using VRBO I'm finally impressed enough to write a review! This condo was so perfect and well stocked with every you could need (all kitchen supplies possible) and lots of things you would just want (tons of beach toys, chairs, towels and books on the area.) The remodel is beautifully done, it feels like a BRAND NEW condo. The location is really great, and although the lanai doesn't face directly to the ocean, it's still amazing. I sat and read and drank coffee and watched the whales jumping many times. I loved that we didn't share any walls with other units, so I didn't have to worry about my early bird child waking up neighbors. Across the street there are plenty of shops, restaurants, shave ice/coffee stand, convenience stores, etc (try the cinnamon roll place. wow) We used the rooftop grilling, dining area almost every evening and there were only a couple people up there. The grassy area between the rocks & turtles and the building was actually an unexpected bonus. We could go out to watch sunset, turtles, do yoga, or whatever and not HAVE to get sandy (although that only requires a 1 minute walk to the left or right.) There was literally nothing I was disappointed with, amazing :-) I especially love that they leave the spices, oils, and supplies like coffee filters that other people have brought. I've never understood the places that clear it all out every time, what an extra expense. We started talking about returning before we ever left... thank you so much for sharing your slice of such a gorgeous area with us!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This condo was clean, spacious, quiet and well stocked. The remodel is done beautifully and the owners are friendly and accommodating. There is nearby beach access and shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. However, if you are expecting a full ocean view as depicted in the photos, think again. The actual view from the patio is of the neighboring condo complex. The only way to actually see the ocean is to sit directly next to the balcony rail or use the strategically placed outdoor mirror. If a view is important to you I would not recommend this property.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We had an amazing time in Maui. Our condo we rented was perfect for our needs. We had our 3 young children with us and it was great being so close to the beach and only down 1 flight of stairs. My only complaint was that some days there were renovations being done in nearby units and the sounds of drywalling and tile cutting were unpleasant. The unit was well stocked with everything we needed. I also may suggest the owners invest in some plastic dishes and cups for carrying up to the roof top bbq area. I was nervous about the kids dropping the glassware. Otherwise it was a fabulous holiday and our next trip we would definately stay there again! This place is AMAZING! Beautifully redecorated. Everything was brand new including windows and doors! All the rooms are very spacious including the bathrooms! The kitchen is wonderful with a very wide counter/island that was great for eating at and cooking from. It's an open floor plan and made it so easy for all of us...8 adults and 3 little ones, to gather and have not only meals, but our "Christmas Morning" on New Years there. It's so close to one of the most beautiful beaches on Maui, don't even have to cross a street to get there, which was great when you are hauling little ones and all their stuff to the beach. The central location of the condo is great. You could go in any direction and not have to drive for long periods of time...unless you are going to Hana. We even walked to one of our favorite eating spots, Kihei Cafe from here. We rented 2 other condo's, one in the Royal Mauian and one in the Kamaole Nalu, this one was by far the favorite...you don't have a full ocean view but you do get a partial one from the Lanai, easy access to the parking lot and to the beach, super CLEAN, and everything was newly updated...what's not to love about that! I sure hope future renters will take extra care of this place and treat it with love...The owners have out done themselves to make it beautiful!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We can only say this was an amazing property and everything was as stated in the VRBO write-up. The condo is like walking into a friends home and feeling very very welcome. We would recommend this unit to anyone, young or old. It truly was a relaxing two weeks of sunshine every day, and we can't wait to return. Having such close access to two beautiful beaches as well as a pool was wonderful.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
