This penthouse condo is gorgeous !! Fantastic location, close to everything, subway right outside the door, if you don't wont to walk. Restaurants all very close and excellent choices!!! Jazz & blues bars are walking distance as well. Fun had by all. Would recommend to everyone!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

The location of the building can't be beat - we enjoyed walking to all of Chicago's main attractions. The building's amenities - gym, basketball court, jacuzzi - are first-class. The penthouse itself is spectacular - the views of the city and Lake Michigan are mesmerizing. The bedrooms/bathrooms are clean. The living room is perfect for hanging out. 8 people slept relatively comfortably in the accommodations. Our only two complaints are that (1) controlling the heat in the upstairs bedrooms is very difficult and (2) the downstairs bedroom and common area are very bright in the morning, making sleeping late difficult. Perfect location for a girls weekend in Chicago, we were able to walk every where. Which was great. This condo was very spacious and beautiful, it exceeded all of our expectations and was equipped with every thing we needed down to hair dryers and shampoo. The views of Chicago were stunning-bring a camera. Everything about it was first class! We can't wait to come back. We have stayed at MANY vrbo properties or other non-hotel rental properties, many of which have been "higher-end" places, and being a "clean freak" :) I must say that your place was exceptionally well kept, very clean, and super well equipped. Since we have the 2 boys, I usually come prepared (liquid hand soaps, paper items, etc....). This trip was so short that I didn't plan/pack as much, so it was great that many of those things were furnished!! We will definitely keep your properties in mind for future trips! When sending four consultants in to the corporate hq to get a project done, every bit of sleep is precious. Luckily, this place is so close to the L red line and numerous places to eat, not to mention thoroughly comfortable throughout, that we all survived our project! Owners are friendly and great to work with. Will definitely contact again for future stays.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car.

This is an incredible property in the perfect location. The views are awesome, the staff are friendly and helpful, and you are right in the heart of the best dining, shopping, and sightseeing that Chicago has to offer. If you have a group, the large living room is a great place to relax after a busy day in the city. Often when we travel with other couples it is hard to find a good space to spend the morning drinking coffee in your pjs watching football. Here you feel like you are in your own home. The kitchen is completely well stocked with all the dishes you will need. We often entertain while in Chicago and the dining area overlooking the lake and the city views makes it such a special event. We have spent the last two Thanksgivings in Chicago and both of our kids really get to feel like they are home with a room of their own. This is so much nicer than staying in a hotel and cheaper than two hotel rooms. We will definitely stay again. Jim and Jerilou are excellent hosts and have taken care of every detail to make sure your experience is memorable and perfect. PS. The elevator is really fast and not very busy. We have stayed other places and felt like we spent half our time waiting.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Great place to stay with your family. If you are looking for downtown Michigan Avenue type living for a long weekend this is the place to do it. We stayed with 2 other couples there and the setup was amazing. Jim and Jeri-Lou are great with correspondence and making sure your trip goes smoothly. The property is well priced and comes with a view and amenities you won't find at your average hotel. The location just can't be beat though. Restaurants, Bars, Shopping, Subway, all literally right out the door. Would definitely book again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Fabulous location and an even better, fabulous condo. Jim and Jeri-Lou are excellent owners/hosts who provide all information needed for arrival through departure. They are also very available if needed. The condo has all the amenities needed including bathroom, bed, and kitchen supplies and the grocery store in the building is perfect. EnjoyRecommended for: Age 55+.

Cancellation policy:
The security/reservation deposit of $650.00 and this rental agreement, completed and signed must be received before a reservation can be confirmed. Once Management is in receipt of your deposit and signed agreement, a confirmation will be issued to you. We will not hold reservations without a security/reservation deposit and this rental agreement, completed and signed. The balance of the total charges must be received 30 days prior to arrival. If the rental is booked less then 30 days in advance of your stay, the total charges are due upon receipt of this agreement. Failure to make final payments on a timely basis will result in automatic cancellation of your reservation and loss of the deposit paid. This rental agreement is being entered into and shall be performed in the state of Illinois, which shall be the proper venue for any legal proceedings concerning this agreement. CONDITIONS OF RENTAL 1. CHECK-IN TIME IS AFTER 3 p.m. CST and CHECK-OUT IS 10 a.m. CST. This agreement does not create a tenancy or residence. You must depart at the appropriate time unless other arrangements have been made with management. 2. This is a NON-SMOKING unit. Any evidence of smoking in this unit or on the balcony will result in forfeiture of security deposit. 3. This reservation is for quiet accommodations. No more than 12 people are allowed on the property at any one time, without written permission from James Friedkin. No more than 8 overnight guests. 4. Quiet hours are in effect at all times. This unit is located in a High-Rise very private residential building. Therefore loud and amplified music is not allowed. Noise complaints are subject to local law enforcement intervention. Any complaints will be seen as a violation of this condition. 5. Pets are NOT permitted in the rental unit under any conditions. Any evidence of pets will result in loss of security deposit 6. We will not rent to vacationing students or singles under 25 years of age unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent. 7. SECURITY/RESERVATION DEPOSIT - A security/reservation deposit of $650.00 is required. This must be received at the time of booking the reservation. The deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit upon arrival. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent: However, it is fully refundable within (15) days of departure, provided the following provisions are met. a. No damage is done to unit or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear. The property will be turned over to you in a clean condition and must be left in the same clean condition. Additional cleaning if necessary will be charged back at the rate of $40.00 per hour. Any additional cleaning fees will be itemized and deducted from security deposit. b. No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets, or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay. c. All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in dumpster, and soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher and cleaned. d. All keys are left with the doorman. e. All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure f. No linens are lost or damaged g. No early check-in or late check-out h. Parking passes are left with the doorman. i. The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner), local law enforcement, or the security company employed by Grand Plaza. 8. PAYMENT – An advance payment equal to $650.00 is required at the time of your reservation. The advance payment will not be applied toward the rent. Please make payments in the form of traveler’s check, bank money orders or cashiers checks. Master Card and Visa will also be accepted. The balance of the rent is due 30 days prior to arrival. If the rental is booked less then 30 days in advance of your stay, the total charges are due upon receipt of this agreement. Reservations will not be confirmed until the deposit is received 9. CANCELLATIONS – A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within sixty (60) days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment and damage/reservation deposit. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit. 10. MONTHLY RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS – Monthly renters must cancel one hundred twenty (120) days prior to check-in. Monthly renters who make a change that results in a shortened stay must be made at least ninety (90) days prior to check-in. 11. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY – The maximum number of overnight guests per condominium is limited to four persons in a 1bed/1bath condo, six (6) persons in a 2bed/2bath condo and eight (8) persons in a 2bed/3bath or 3bed/2bath or 3bed/3bath. An additional charge of $200.00 per person per night for guests in addition to the maximum occupancy will be assessed, and forfeiture of security deposit. 12. THIS PROPERTY REQUIRES A One (1) NIGHT MINIMUM STAY. Longer minimum stays may be required during holiday periods, and special events. If a rental is taken for less than one (1) day, the guest will be charged the one-day rate. 13. INCLUSIVE FEES – Rates include a one-time linen-towel set-up. Amenity fees are included in the rental rate. 14. NO DAILY MAID SERVICE – While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate, it is available at an additional rate. Beach towels are provided. We do not permit bath towels to be taken from the unit. 15. RATE CHANGES – Rates subject to change without notice. 16. FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS – Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit, and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check-in. 17. WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS – Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance. 18. PARKING– The unit has one assigned parking space. Garage opener is obtained at the time of check-in and must be returned at the time of check-out. Friedkin, Jeri-Lou Zike or Grand Plaza shall not be responsible for any loss, expense, damages, claims or injury direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise caused by reason of military actions, acts of God, or by any agents, employees, subcontractors, servants or services as provided or substituted. James Friedkin or Jeri-Lou Zike at all times will act in good faith and use its best efforts to substitute with accommodations or services of a type comparable to those contracted.
