Our apartment is in a lovely complex that boasts both a swimming pool and a fully equipped gymnasium. The apartment is tastefully furnished and has air conditioning throughout. It has all mod cons in the kitchen including a microwave and washing machine. There is satellite TV and DVD player for those evenings in with a large selection of current DVDs. There is also a CD player. There is a balcony that runs the width of the apartment with access from both the lounge and the master bedroom through french windows. The view from the balcony is of the sea and countryside. It is a beautiful view to wake up to in the morning. The apartment is a 10 minute walk from the centre of the village and is set in a very quite, peaceful area.
There are many other fantastic places on the island to visit. Nicosia is a 30 minute drive and well worth a visit. The glorious beaches of Ayia Napa and lively nightlife is a 20 minute drive away and you can reach Paphos in just over an hour. The Troudos mountains are also within an hours drive and are a must for any visitor. Oriklini is a lovely Cypriot village just 7km from the cosmopolitan city of Larnaca. The village is surrounded by countryside and hills. The village has several lovely tavernas and bars which offer traditional Cypriot food and entertainment. It is definitely a place where you can watch the world go by while enjoying a drink or meal with friends. The village has a supermarket and bank and all amenities for your holiday. There is a go-kart centre nearby and horse riding close to the village. Oriklini is a great location for exploring the beautiful island of Cyprus. The local 'blue flag' beach is a 5 minute drive away and Larnaca is 10 minutes away. Larnaca has a proliferation of restaurants and bars, many of them overlooking the sea and is a buzzing city at night.
Activities to take part in this area include horse and donkey rides, mountain biking, quad biking and watersports on the beach. There are also fantastic walks with great scenery up and around Oriklini Hill.

About the owner: We live in a small village in Buckinghamshire and have been going to Cyprus on holiday for a number of years. We work in the car and film industry so are always busy and spend a lot of time travelling in the UK and farther afield.
Why the Owner Chose Catalkoy: We fell in love with Cyprus on our first visit, it is a beautiful island that just keeps on giving, there are always new things to see and the people are so friendly. We loved this apartment when we first saw the plans. We bought it before it was built but saw the location and knew it would be fantastic. We particularly liked the layout of the apartment and the fact that it was really big for a two bedroom apartment. It was also important for us to be in a quiet location and have a nice balcony with lovely views. We still remember the first time we walked into it when it had been built. The view from the lounge and main bedroom was and still is fantastic and we love being there.
