A wonderful 12yr experience in this gorgeous condo

I was very happy to see the owner had listed this condo on homeaway.com, so more could enjoy this gorgeous home and it's wonderful location. After reading the previous review, I was SHOCKED, and I had to post my own review! We have stayed at this home almost every year, for the past 12 years. We love the location to the beach and the private pool. We always bring extra family on our vacation to enjoy this beautiful home. It is ALWAYS spotless, each time we arrive. The floor plan of the condo is perfect for 2 families or more. It's great that every bedroom has it's own, very large bathroom! We have never had a problem with BUGS! We always buy a lot of food the first day and eat every breakfast and lunch at the condo. The kitchen is plenty big and stocked with all the dishes and silverware you need! At night, we head out to enjoy the great restaurants of the island. I can't recommend a better home to stay at on the island!!

Palmetto Dunes Condo

I love staying at this condo. I have been going to Hilton Head since I was a little girl and now I take my family there, wanting to give the same experiences to my son. Traveling with a baby makes me nervous, wanting a spacious, clean space to call home. This condo was just that! I felt comfortable calling this my home for the week. It was large enough to travel with extended family and not feel on top of everyone (especially since I had to bring so much stuff!!) I found no problems, the pool was just feet away and was a great amenity. The beach was across the street and very relaxing, not over crowded! I was so happy to have found this condo for my family to stay at. I will return for my vacation next year!

What a wonderful place to stay! So close to the pool and such a short walk to the beach. The listing description was right on! My family could not have been more satisfied with the location, the cleanliness, the furnishings, the kitchen. With three bedrooms each with their own bath, we were not falling all over each other when it was time to get dressed to go out. Each room you can tell had just recently been updated with new bedspreads, new furniture in the living room, new carpets in the bathrooms. It was spotlessly clean when we got there! We even had our own washer and dryer that we could use to clean all the beach stuff before we left for home. At first I was very leary after reading the post by Kygirl but I had to remind myself that anyone can write anything they want; that you can not make everyone happy. Go to Trip Advisor.com....you will read every imaginable thing wrong with the trip you might be planning. There are wackos out there that write all kinds of weird stuff. So the first thing I did when I entered the condo was to check for an exterminator schedule! There it was....posted right inside a kitchen cabinet. That place is sprayed every 3 months! Shame on KyGirl for not calling the owner and reporting the problem! Dahhh....that's what I would have done! No owner would want their place crawling with bugs! Not when places like this one are worth lots of $$$. In fact, there was a problem with the upstairs furnace (it was January). So I called the owner and he had a repair company there the same day! We could not ask for any better from the owner. I would not hesitate to recommend the rental of this place to any of my friends or family including my 87 year old mother. The only people I would NOT recommend it to is my enemies. Happy vacationing at this great place!

Great Vacation with excellent accomodations!!

When my wife and I are planning a trip to Hilton Head Island, this is where we stay. We have vacationed to the island several times in the last few years and are in the process of scheduling our 2011 trip. This condo accommodates my family, the family that often travels with us, and there is room for more! While we spend a lot of our time at the beach (a short walk away) or on the golf course (3 courses in Palmetto Dunes), the condo offers a comfortable home away from home to cook, relax, and enjoy the company of those traveling with us. We have NEVER found the condo in a state as described in the negative post I have read. I am confident that the negative experience of the one previous renter was a complete fluke; if not an exaggeration. Upon our arrival, we always find freshly cleaned floors, bedding, and dishes. These are all things I would expect of a vacation rental, and have never been disappointed in the condition when we arrive or throughout our stay. Based on my several experiences at this condo, it is easy to tell that the owner takes excellent care of his home and his guests. We are looking forward to our upcoming vacation, where we will once again enjoy the amenities this condo offers!

We had a wonderful vacation experience and thank you for allowing us to rent your villa. It was beautiful and very clean and well kept. We really enjoyed the huge sectional sofa during the evening while watching tv. The washer and dryer were almost a necessity with our four kids and grandparents, lots of laundry. We had a great time catching fish in Broad Creek right off your screened in porch, and kayaking all day. I would definitely recommend this unit again to anyone looking for a great clean, nice place to stay.

Great Villa, Great Location, Wonderful Vacation

My family totally enjoyed your place. Thank you so much for renting to us, it is really beautiful. I will definitely return again next year. The villa was very clean and very convenient to the things that we wanted to do and where we wanted to go. The pool was only steps from the front door, and the beach was a short 2 minute walk to the beach. Really great location, especially when you are with my nephew, who is 1 year old. The listing description was accurate, the photos did not do the place justice though, it is nicer than the photos show. The property was definitely clean and well maintained, obvious as soon as you open the door, and the owner was extremely helpful and easy to make the connection. The owner has a keyless entry with a door code that was good for our stay, so everything was done over the email. Very simple process. I would recommend this property to anyone, and I will definitely rent this unit again.

Wonderful Vacation Experience & Accommodations

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful villa that was beautifully furnished and exceptionally clean. It was very close to the pool and only minutes from the beach. The unit was on Broad Creek that we fished in, right off the screened in porch, less than 15 steps from the porch. It was a wonderful vacation and very comfortable for our family. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and look forward to returning.

Cockroach Heaven

It was a terrible experince, it was like staying in the cock roach motel,we knew we were in trouble when we walk in and found a dead cock roach in with the eating untensils. Then the coffe maker was broken, there was two dead cock roackes splatter on the wall in the kitchen, the dishes wer not clean that were put in the cuppard. There were roaches in the furniture mostly on the sofa. My husband woke in the night and found a cock roach in bed with us!! There was mold all over every vent in the place and the bathrooms as well. We had our two grandchildern with us it scared our grandaughter to death.

I have been renting for 15 years, have had 343 weeks rented over those years to 342 extremely happy satisfied wonderful guests, many of whom have returned numerous times. In fact, one family has been renting from me for all 15 years! But, every once in a while you unfortunately you run across vindictive mean people who want their money back AFTER they have stayed there the whole week, a free vacation. They should know since they own a bakery, that after the fact, or after they stayed the whole week, it is difficult to reimburse them for something they don't like. I wonder how they handle bad bread after it was consumed? And, the person who rented from me is not the person who posted this review. So, yes there are vindictive people in this world who get pleasure out of hurting other people. And, I wonder why they waited 6 months since they stayed there to write such a review? Nevertheless, what is posted is the perception, and it is impossible to change unless you witnessthe conditions first hand. I GUARANTEE, that this is not the case with my house. And, I will make adjustments, i.e. move renters to other places, etc. if I am informed of something not up to standard immediately upon check in. I will also ask that those other 342 guests of mine post Reviews here to counter what has been posted. I appreciate my guests, and take care of them the best I know how, and will continue to do so. One bad experience out of 15 years and 343 guests is a track record I am extremely proud of. Thank you.
